Earlier in the day, we had exclusively reported that Aparna Dixit is in talks with producer Ekta Kapoor to play the protagonist on her next show. Here's another update. We have been informed by our sources that actor Rohan Gandotra has been approached to play the male lead opposite Aparna and modalities are now being worked out with both the artistes swiftly. The show, as informed by us, will be a detective series, in which both Aparna and Rohan will play sleuths and will solve cases in their distinct style.
Informs a source associated with the project, "The show is tentatively titled 'Aa Dekhe Zara'. Aparna and Rohan fit the bill of the characters perfectly. Looking at the way things have shaped up so far, we are hoping to close the deals with both the actors really soon. The show is expected to go on floors some time next week."
Despite repeated attempts, we didn't hear from Rohan about his involvement with the show.
The actor, who has been part of several daily soaps like 'Qubool Hai', 'Kaala Teeka', 'Dhhai Kilo Prem' and 'Naagin 2', made headlines after he stepped into Sidharth Shukla's shoes to play Parth on 'Dil Se Dil Tak'.
On the personal front, he's rumoured to be dating Hiba Nawab, who plays the protagonist on 'Jijaji Chhat Per Hain'.
