Popular actors refuse to play negative shades etc etc. The only feedback the writers need, should be from the viewers. How can actors not have a say in character they are portraying on screen? It's somewhat understandable for movies because you are working for 70 days, there is a tight script and everything is decided, when you are on TV working for a show and on a channel like colors where story is changed on daily basis... He is an actor, how can he not have a say?

I remember during the period when Nandini was planning Mauli's birthday party, there were some lines in DD's script suggesting Nandini is doing something big for Mauli at that time Shakti had said - Ye Kya hai, Mauli ki band Baja di ab ye bol rahe hai...

It's not some exceptionally written show, when people applaud a rapist when he is trying to burn his wife, do you not understand how wrong writer went with it?

Ishaan's is very balanced.

I forgive Kunal and I think mauli too did a long back but loving him back is impossible for someone like mauli the character which must be respected for what she evolved into inspite of bitterness in her life.

I didn't comment on bashing of actors, a few days ago MauHaan shippers bashed Aditi by tagging her, I think the best they can do is ignore trolls...

When the show is about EMA, how do I not expect lead to do EMA? That's the theme right? Writer botched the job when you see people actually praising a rapist, when there are no repercussions on domestic violence, rape etc.

But was Rajdeep punished for raping his wife or domestic violence? How did she do justice to his character? Just trying to understand here how he was a phenomenal character?

That's the problem I have with daily soaps...it has become normal for actors to demand unreasonable changes in script which messes with the writer's vision. This wouldn't be possible in Pakistan-kinda dramas. Their they have popular actors playing hated characters and it isn't even an issue because that's how it's supposed to be. Normally, actors aren't supposed to interfere with the script unreasonably. Yes obviously, if the writers are promoting something illegal or unethical, then the actor can quit. The option to quit is always there.

Edit : I also think the writers tried their level best to justify KunDini and their affair but the audience didn't buy any of it. And since they were promoted as the lead couple, they were the most hated. Rajdeep wasn't one of the leads, so he didn't get as much hatred. Rajdeep was evil and he was good at being evil. He didn't pretend to be a fake mahaatma. That's the reason his character also kinda clicked in a way.

This reminds me of Uttaran. Rashmi Desai played Tapasya, an outright evil character but she was unanimously praised for her performance because there character just clicked as a psychotic obsessed lover.

He is portraying a character, which is more hated than the character of a rapist in the same show...

Shakti is already portraying a negative/grey character without interfering, he has given the best performance of his life with this show but writer failed him, he shouldn't have been a cheater, he should have been a funny cheater with a knack for sarcasm.

It is shakti's choice to stay with the show or leave it.I respect him as an actor though not a fan.But i dislike kunal.

At least here the whole story is revolving around kunal...in many other serials even A list actors character gets reduced to a flowerpot...overnight they turn a good person into a evil monster...

Just because the lead involves in EMA doesn't make EMA forgivable. And that was the show all about, and no where ever even for .00% kunal's Attraction for Nandini was understandable then how do you want Kunal's mistakes to be forgotten. Just because Rajdeep was far worse and not called human doesn't make Kunal a better person. There is no quantity measure for who hurt the most. Rajdeep scarred Nandini for lifetime and so did Kunal.
If the actor himself is taking all these jokingly and doing his part I find no objection to what his character is doing.
