I wanted to convey thay she should choose happiness but she is not all alone single entity ,she is having one child too with herself who craves for father's love so it is really delicate situation for mauli where if she wants to consider the fact that she is not in love with ishaan than it's better to free ishaan and break the engagement and explain her child that she is not marring ishaan so ideally mishti should not called him popsi and also ask to ishaan to not to involve too much in her and mishti's life but the thing is mauli herself is not interested in her own happiness and more interested in giving popsi's love to mishti that's why she is also neglecting the fact the she is not loving the guy whom she choose as her daughter's father and her future husband.

Overly pampered child act same with everyone and not just pari but here mishti's core nature is helping and caring so she is not at all spoil brat. It's just a child mind and immaturity at the age of 6 who doesn't understand what is right and what is wrong so she feels pari is her enemy for whom her father left her that's it. I am not saying her action was good but calling her spoil brat by forgetting her core nature is not acceptable.

Regarding covering up than mauli never covers up her daughter's fault,she has always scolded mishti for hurting pari so no one in the family is satisfying 6 year old child's ego .
