Not a bad idea. I love shakti since meri aashiqui although I had known him from his cameo/ supporting roles in pavitra rishta and tere liye but his performance is still all over the place.

Shakti was awesome as RV and ranveer both...were you visiting matsh forum?

I have seen tere liye & meri ashiqui till the middle

He is a good actor. But here in silsila he is very off

Its almost like because he doesn't know how 2 relate himself with kunal

But that is his boundaries as well

Actually if the makers r so dimwit it is going to affect the show

I still think he can do good than this lekin silsila me Shakti is below average

I have only watched Shakti's performance in Tere Liye and now here. I haven't really seen much of him to be able to give an opinion 😕 but would say, on Silsila, sometimes his expressions don't match what is going on

Being able to relate to and try and think in the place of the character to be able to channel the character's emotions is very important to actors, so this is mostly likely why I'm not as impressed with shakti in this show. He probably can't relate to those ridiculous dialogues 😆

There are almost 50% people who started watching ghsb because they loved muskan
It was under the same channel star one
I have watched a lot of shows but geet was unique
It stood out in the crowd thats y it had even more trp than this super nonsensical one dimensional show silsila badalte ki even after airing on such a huge channel called colors
Ppl r still blinded by geet after 8 years? Still blinded by maaneet love? Geet is still one of the most watched classic shows after ipk1 dmg in hotstar
The character Drashti was given she did justice but she got typecasted thats y her next characters r similar
it's not easy to rule TV as a female actress for 10 years
Also Geet and Madhubala has been telecasted in a lot of other languages in other countries
International audiences too loves drashti
She definitely has her own limitations like every other actor
Kuch to hoga na since a huge part of audience loved her? Its ok if some people dont like her

I am discussing her acting because I found her portrayal of Nandini to be very mediocre. I don't have any question about Geet or Madhubala, I was just looking at where she got the reputation of being a good actress. I am not really comparing characters or different shows, I am looking at Drashti's acting as a whole. Idk where there is any comparison in this post 😕

Anyway I just want to say one last thing since really a person's liking disliking is truly subjective so talking about this is absurd

Most dd fans left this forum n very few people would side with a rotten character like Nandini or Kunal so mostly this discussion is just one dimensional on the perspective of some bunch who doesn't like Drashti or At least Nandini

Talking about Kunal could be said the same about Shakti

But i think just because Nandini and Kunal is poorly executed that means Drashti or Shakti are bad as actors

Its the problem with typecast and low production house values

Not actors fault

Their previous works are a proof of that

And hopefully next works can prove as well
