And this mentality about makeup , yes some people put up makeup to look good but thats none of your business and if you can afford such expensive makeup then go on and put it on your face

Even I was a part of my school and college dramatic society 😛
Am I eligible too then, ma'am? 😃

Who told you that I do not look better even without make up? Have you seen me? 😉

Congrats for DD that she has spent 10 years in the industry. But I beg to differ that she and Jennifer are so blindly popular. They are others who are better than them and who have been in tv longer than them, it's just their underrated and that's really sad.

Yes, I agree. I don't think everyone is better. Or anyone is better than me, you or them. We all have the same blood through our veins. Same body parts as women. We just think and act differently. I just think everyone is different, flawed, imperfect and so on. To each its own.

@bold Analyzing acting skills is not "abusing actors."

Well I am from Canada too and I agree celebs are criticized and/or appreciated according to their work.

@bold totally agreed

I understand what you're trying to say in terms of how certain actors are preferred over others because of their popularity. That may have to do with producers bringing in audience to watch their show. I don't think there's anything wrong with watching a show or movie because you're familiar with the work of the actors from their other works, especially if you think they are really good. However, there is a difference between watching it for your beloved actor and blindly defending the character's wrongdoings.
I like Drashti. I've seen her in DMG and Geet. She was alright in DMG, although I absolutely loved that character. I'm kinda sad that she hasn't played a lighthearted girl in so long and was really happy with the flashback of Nandani being happy for a change. And Geet really was phenomenal in my opinion. She nailed that role through and through. But, that is my opinion and perception. You don't have to feel the same way. Drashti has played not just one role but a few roles, with exceptional acting, that she has garnered so many followers. It's not all for nothing, there's proof to the pudding, so to speak.
I wholeheartedly believe that the writing of this show limited Drashti's acting ability. She didn't really get a lot of dialouges to be honest, everyone was just talking at her or around her and we rarely got to see Nandani's feelings out in the open. Yes, definitely if you're a good actor then you can surely do a lot with little, however, the audience of this show is not keen on accepting the nuances of her character if not said directly or vocalized. Therefore, it is a hard character to gravitate towards. And yes, I agree that actors do not make the show, the show makes the artist. In that case, the show did disservice to Drashti because she was not granted any real depth or character development that Nandani should have received in order for Drashti to showcase her talent.
And the reason why I liked Nandani was not because of Drashti. I am going to be a social worker, so I am thinking clinically about Nandani. The show was really interesting too and I believe it was the writers and directors that failed in letting Drashti shine.

Hello, I hate to jump into this war zone, but I couldn't resist putting in my opinion. I am exactly guily of what the TM said. I was a die hard DD fan from Geet. I would only start a show because she would star in it. Gradually though, with each show, I kept losing interest because of how she somehow turned every character to be exactly the same. The character sketches were not all the same, but because of DD's mediocre acting skills, they all ended up looking like clones of each other. By the time I was in my late 20s, and DD had started that show with AB, i had lost all interest in her shows and predictably they all turned out to be flop shows.

I also agree with another comment that ITV is filled with mediocrity. Not that bollywood is better! Nepotism there ensures there's never going to be true talent. Every once in a while, you get lucky and get an Alia bhatt, who even though is a product of nepotism, has acting talents. Otherwise you are doomed. ITV is filled with crap actors and even more crap content. TV stars somehow gain massive fan following due to a particular show and people consider them gods. The worse of it is the DD fandom. If you even dare to comment on something as small as her fingernail, the entire FD will come down on you.

Atleast actors like Sanaya have attempted to do diverse roles even in this awful saas bahu era of ITV. Gunjan was drastically different from Khushi. Even Jenny has tried different things like Beyhadh or Hina khan now trying Komolika. They have all grown in their careers. Look at Harshad. Prem, Anu, Sahir, Adi were all completely different characters and he has excelled in all of them. Gurmeet also tried to be different from Maan in PV. KSG tried negative in kasauti, to all vivacious, naughty as Armaan to serious Asad in QH. KVB has done Prem, negative role of Viraj on Dil se...They all have something to show for in their acting careers. These are only some exMples. Theres tons of others like Arjun Bijlani, Mouni, Surbhi J, Parth S (Maanik to goody goody Anurag) who all tried to be different in their career path even in an industry that is famous for stereotyping roles. DD is right where she was 10years ago.

Alia and ranbir are two products of nepotism that are deserving of a career as they are talented.

Everytime she speaks it seems she has accumulated lots of saliva in her mouth. Her voice is unbearable. On top of that her eyes pop out so much.Thankfully not much in this show.I read updates only to avoid looking at her face. She is such an annoying actress.Cringy acting.
Was good only as muskan. Never watched geet.

Thats the most honest opinion i can give.
