When Nandini came, she activated that chauvinist part of Kunal, which needed to be superior than his wife, not his equal. He wants to make decision of their life, he orders Nandini around to look pretty for him, wear his favorite clothes with Mauli, it was shown he likes women in Saree but Mauli didn't like wearing Saree. Nandini lives to please Kunal and Mauli had a life of her own. Now he feels like a man, now he can drag women, he can yell at them, he can manhandle them and suffice to say he's enjoying it. I have seen men getting jealous when their wives earn more than them, no matter how they show that they respect women but the fact is that none wants to relinquish or share the power.

fruity i understand whatever u said. we have discussed this earlier also.. i agree to all this. but makers are not showing it this way. this is what we as viewers are seeing and interpreting. it will be wonderful to see that at the end kunal realises all this. he accepts that she fell for her bcz she was a weak woman and he wanted to feel like a man..
he wanted his wife to depend on him.. but i am sure even if they touch this topic then they will make mauli look like a dominanting wife and nandini a docile one. whereas i see mauli equally docile.. its just that she has a conscience and she can not bend in front of wrong people.

I don't know about true love or anything but if Kunal fell for Nandini after seeing her pain, I don't see him being even a little considerate towards the pain Mauli is going through, she ran broken and crying in front of him and he does not even do anything to help her instead he praises his girlfriend in front of her, increasing her pain ten folds, so Kunal is a sensitive man who fell for a woman in pain is a joke.

He hasn't changed, in their lunch date Kunal did everything for Nandini that he used to do for Mauli. Mauli's friends were teasing her that this guy is just like Kunal, so his approach or his top of his lungs promises haven't changed, he just fell for a submissive woman who makes him feel superior

@fenymann - lol this is a public forum and here we are supposed to ask fellow people only.. if i had access to writers and they were interested to reply back then i would have asked them only..
falling for a weak person or strong person is a choice but falling for another woman when u are super happily married requires special strong basis.. and nandini has no personality and nothing strong to fall for her...

What makers are showing is that one day Mauli rotated the Pooja ki thali anti clockwise and Nandini has always rotated the thali clockwise, so God was mad at Mauli for this mistake and he decided that kunal, who rotates Pooja ki thali in clockwise direction deserves Nandini.

@sammy - word to whatever u said in previous post of yours..
he is being shown genuine with both mauli and nandini.. i am sure he doesnt even know what love is..

@silpa - let it be! kunal ka hoga koi unknown past just like his weird unexplanatory love for nandini.
kunal ji dil me hi aate hai samaj mein nhi..
i wonder what made nandini think that he loves her. she witnessed their love and now he claimed he loves her.. she had a reason to fell for him but she never thought why kunal fell for her when he was in such a happy marriage.

wahi toh..
he never shared her pain. there is no pain wala rishta.. lol.
it seems like a joke to me also.. makers have shown that he fell for her desi attire, dance, beauty and masoomiyat which was her weakness actually.. they used wrong word for her.

edited - lol pooja ki thali. hilarious

Cheating husbands will always try to justify the affair by making all sorts of excuses like...they fell in love with the new woman, she is their soulmate, there's a problem in the marriage And sometimes they will even say that the wife is faulty and she hasn't been a good wife...they will make all these excuses rather than own up to the truth ...that they are immoral, they committed adultery, they did not keep their marriage vows are they are at fault. So the writers have just shown Kunal to behave exactly how cheating husbands behave in real life. And they showed that until Nandini came on the scene, he was happy with Mauli, they had a proper marriage with intimacy and their lives were absolutely normal..they were no problems ..the issue about her working long hours etc, happens in many marriages. And the truth is that everyone has minor issues and arguments in their marriages..it's absolutely normal and all marriages like everything else in life has to be nurtured, treasured and worked at. Couples who value their marriage don't go start affairs after an argument ...and if there a big issue ..there's marriage counseling. Kunal basically did not honor his marriage vows like cheating husbands do in real life. As for Nandhini she may play the victim but she's immoral . I haven't been watching the full episodes ..so I didn't know that Kunal and Nandini had a sexual relationship. If they have gone to that extent before either one of them have got divorced ...it's basic adultery ..there's no redemption for Kunal and Nandini. The writers should show Mauli taking a stand, divorcing Kunal and moving on as there's no justification for what he and Nandini have done to her.

Its a very interesting post.

I think Kunal never loved Mauli,he got attracted to her in college days and assumed it was love and married her.Where as Mauli loved kunal and mistaken he also loved her.Attraction fades off over time and can't withstand difficulties or hardships in the relationship.See our mother,She can go to any extent to make us happy.Nothing can change that over time.It never fades off. That is called love.

And similarly kunal attracted to Nandini as he finds her physically attractive, and due to spending a lot of time with her,his attraction got stronger and it is not love,it get fades off over time just like with Mauli. But Kunal assuming it is love.He will realise it at one point in future.

Its harsh truth some people can't love anyone. They love themselves more than anything. If he loved Nandini he would have understood Mauli's love and how it hurts her,so he never loved anyone even his mom or Dida.He is selfish and he loves only himself. If he love anyone in future he will realise Mauli's pain.

i agree they had itsy bitsy issues. like really minor issues. and mauli used to solve every problem . she never ignored their relationship.
kunal simply didnt value the relationship and u r right that he is giving excuses. and they have crossed their limits. so its adultery too..
but my point is if its there in kunal's sub conscious that he is right and his love is pure then at a later point in life he should definitely realise that love is not getting atttact to someone and proclaiming your feelings. it is much beyond than that. it is what mauli has in her.. taking care of everyone, balancing life, her giving nature..
he should realise the meaning of love..
