Kunal was surrounded by strong women all his life, they never had to rely on him for anything, they loved him. When he married Mauli he married perhaps say a reflection of his mother, the same strong woman (its just a guess that she was a single mother considering we do not know what happened with his father), so they never needed him physically and that's the case with most women in India, believe it or not we do not run to men for help, every woman is self sufficient in her own way. When Nandini came, she activated that chauvinist part of Kunal, which needed to be superior than his wife, not his equal. He wants to make decision of their life, he orders Nandini around to look pretty for him, wear his favorite clothes with Mauli, it was shown he likes women in Saree but Mauli didn't like wearing Saree. Nandini lives to please Kunal and Mauli had a life of her own. Now he feels like a man, now he can drag women, he can yell at them, he can manhandle them and suffice to say he's enjoying it. I have seen men getting jealous when their wives earn more than them, no matter how they show that they respect women but the fact is that none wants to relinquish or share the power.

there are many people who love to get married in the same profession so that their partner understand their problems well.

mauli didnt mean that since they are educated doctors and their status is matching so they can do things fine. she meant that doctors are supposed not to fail. she said the same thing in the confrontation too. she said that kunal is a doctor and he should know what is giving a try.. "koshish ka matlab jante ho kunal".please dont misinterpret her dialogues..

even if nandini were a doctor then also one can not justify kunal provided the same circumstances.. it has nothing to do with her being a housewife.. what they want to tell is that nandini has no extra ordinary qualities that mauli lacks so that kunal get attracted to her.

i said earlier also adjectives with love ' true love half love full love" these quotes and philosophy can not justify his feelings.. love is love.

you mean to say kunal didnt love mauli fully??? are we watching the same show??

if quotes can justify this then they can justify any wrong doing in this world..

@fennymann - please dont give this excuse that kunal fell for her pain. its called sympathy not love.. i cant imagine myself getting attracted to a sufferer and a weak person. i can fall for a surviver khushi khushi but a person like nandini 😕

i agree woman or a man for that matter should not think their marriage break off bcz they lack something only if they gave their best to their marriage.. if there are problems in marriage then there is blame game.. but here mauli had no issues with kunal. he was going gaga about his wife and there were no complaints.

If he cheated his first love and now claims his love for the second woman is true, how can a person believe he loves either girl truly when his love changes based on vain grounds such as sympathy for an abuse victim that craves love and constantly walks around saree-clad the way he likes it compared to his wife? I doubt Kunal loves either girl unconditionally. This Kunal can only truly love himself and his preferences.
