@mangopudding: Did you see the episode? If yes, what's with all this burning/fire symbolism? They showed Kunal and Nandini within the circle of fire with Mauli outside watching them?

Does that mean Kunal and Nandini's relationship is going to burn, with Mauli being the witness and Rajdeep the prepator? Also Dida used the word brahmastha for the child that means weapon which can be used against his love for Nandini. So is child the weapon/reason that Rajdeep will use to separate these two and Mauli will witness the destruction of their relationship as they burn in the agony of separation or guilt. Pretty dramatic way of showing though.

PS: Kunal was trying to extinguish that strong fire with blanket. I was like, dude, if you are serious about saving the girl, just get on with it 😛

waving hello to @chulbuliladki. :) guess, we are all surviving this madcap of a serial? hahahahah...

@pamk06 -- kekekek... yea, the fire was super dramatic wasn't it? such visual symbolism of everything burning... I just thought the CVs were being rather shakespearean and sort of recreating a twisted version of the marriage fire ceremony walk or alternatively doing a kind of modern sati? or something... I was actually wondering why on earth she willingly changed and let herself be tied. did she already inhale some smoke? 😆 ...

hard to figure out this serial when we are watching at 11... and as usual, dida and radhika put the responsibility of everything on mauli -- umm, are their vocal chords not working? guess, they want to be the good guys? so kunal doesn't get mad at them and they can also blame mauli for not doing enough to capture kunal even though they gave support...

kekekek... kunal the firefighter! ... but does anyone think that with the fire, now rajdeep might get a personality transplant post leap? maybe he will get some concussion and his brain will re-wire itself and he will find himself cured of his destructive behaviour because the clot was removed and he asks the nurse in a badly stitched uniform, "what happened to me?" wait, thats an ekta serial... maybe not? 😆

Yes, it almost seemed like everything was burning. Even Mauli. but she is outside the circle and may be she is burning because of them.

@bold: Exactly, I was also thinking why didnt she run away or try to escape but then remembered that in her self talk, she was thinking that the best way to separate from Kunal is by dying. (Looks like the pinky promise is really important for her 😛) So, the modern sati but for a friend...

For the life of me, I cannot understand why they are making her run. I guess because Mauli wanted to tell him. But then don't they know their son. Kunal is not going to listen, he is not in a state to listen, so even if Mauli blurts out the pregnancy, he is going to ignore in this anger that he is in. There is something as resting period between fights where everyone calms down and takes a step back. Guess this family does not know about that or may be they are worried that once Mauli starts thinking she will not listen and hence they are pushing her.

Hypothetically, even if Kunal comes back to Mauli for the child, then what? Will Mauli be able to live with herself that Kunal is only with her for the baby and actually loves Nandini? Or is she is going to go back in her happy bubble and ignore this whole episode? she is desperate, she is numb, she is in pain and she just wants Kunal with her at any cost. I guess I am in your boat here where I just do not understand her thinking process and what will happen after she comes out of her funk. Will she be happy that Kunal is with her or sad for the things she had to do for Kunal to be at her side? Are they trying to show her with gray shades where for love, she is ready to sacrifice everything, dignity, self respect etc. which some women do and are ready to do. Thoughts???

PS: Edited: Sometimes I feel they are showing their marriage. They showed sindoor during consummation, then they showed him giving the locket which she always wears for mangalsutra and now this fire for pheras. 😆

it is funny to say this but over the years, I have learned a lot about people from watching dramas and reading people's takes on them. so one of the tropes in ITV which really drives me cuckoo is the saintly wife. you know the guy hates her and does not want to get married but is forced by circumstances to do so because someone is sick or dying or something. and even though the wife knows how much he hates her, she is a saint and so treats him nice and he finally falls for her because she is so kind. ( 🤢 eye roll). and who cares about the girlfriend of x years because she will turn out to be evil. (eye roll)

have always hated such storylines and found them super unrealistic. what woman has no self-respect? what woman would not react in anger and sadness to find her partner does not want her or like her? ... but one thing I learned from drama discussions is that for some women, just someone physically being there is enough. so as long as they are not alone, they are good. they can handle the rest. for some, as long as their kids are okay, they are good. even if the guy is not emotionally present, it is okay. as long as they have financial security, then it is okay if the guy is not emotionally present and has women on the side. so people's needs vary and sometimes with times and situations, it can also change.

now, from what we have seen of mauli, it is difficult to tell if it is alright with her if kunal is not emotionally present or distant from her. the mauli we saw initially seemed so strong that we were expecting her to kick kunal to the curb. not have continuous meltdowns, be manipulated by these old ladies and listen to all their ridiculous suggestions and not even telling them off even once for wringing her through some fake emotional dramas. she hasn't done what viewers expected or hoped. so it is difficult to predict what this mauli will do because it feels like they are re-writing her character which is getting a lot of viewers annoyed.

@bold: Yes there are many women who just do not want to be alone and would sacrifice anything just so the man is there.

Yes, the famous self sacrificing divas of ITV. Sometimes I can even tolerate the hate to love marriages but what make me 🤢 is the fact that when the guy literally drags the FL out of the house multiple times, they still show them as forgiving saints on one sign of remorse in the ML face in the name of love.

Anyways, agreed with you that the Mauli that they showed us would have kicked Kunal to the curb. That was her first reaction for Rajdeep to, very headstrong but when Kunal use to give her a different perspective, she used to reconsider. Here to, her first reaction was divorce but now she is reconsidering because of the two ladies. Family shackles can be complicated and can make you do things that you would never think you would do given a scenario. I think Mauli is in that state now where she knows what she should do vs what she wants to do and what she is forced to do. I think if he returns to her before she start evaluating, then she will accept him. If he returns to her after she comes out of her funk, then she will kick him out. Lets see when he comes back.

Atleast whatever my issues with the other three characters, they are totally behaving as they should, even Nandini (with that tidbit of sacrifice for Mauli and defiance in front of Rajdeep) where I had almost lost hope in her.

Looks like the night is still not over and will not be for atleast for this week. So at the end, let see after all the crying, running, blasting, fighting and saving where Kunal lands. The OLV's says that Nandini finds out about the pregnancy from Rajdeep and she kicks Kunal to the curb so most probably on the road.. 😆

@pamk06 -- what does OLV stand for? there are so many contrasting spoilers that it is hard to tell what is going to be story... regarding the baby -- can see kunal thinking mauli and his family are yet again faking another drama and trying to manipulate him and also convince nandini of the same. so dida's emotional dramas might backfire on them. kunal is already expressing anger that everyone is making decisions for him including nandini. hopefully, this very very very long night will finally end.

and what happened to rajdeep? found it funny that kunal just walked off with nandini and forgot about the fire. so who put it out? didn't look like mauli did either... so fire department? police? or did the building just burn down? 😆

LOL 😆😆... thank you for the laughs. I really needed that... but you are right. not sure why we are trying to find logic here? maybe because it is so confusing that it boggles the mind? 😆 kekekek...

OLV is On location video, where the snippets of the actual scenes which are getting shot currently are posted on the SM. Apparently, Rajdeep finds out about the baby, blackmails Nandini during the romantic date, and she goes back to him. Whether she stays with him or Kunal will save her again or there is a leap, not sure yet.

I was actually surprised with the pepper spray. I thought she will use a stick or something but peopper spray??Where did that come from and it was a big bottle, not something that you carry on a keychain or something and she was not even carrying a bag.😆

Rajdeep is a person who will reincarnated again and again so even if they show him falling from the cliff, he will still be alive so what is this fire which could be extinguished with a blanket. 😆. He reached the hospital so I would put my money on Mauli. I can totally see her doing that. 😆

Coming back to the show, I am hooked on kdrama, thanks to you, but over there the husband and the other woman are dumb (how i love the wife, she is amazing) but I just cannot get Nandini. She was ready to sacrifice but as soon as Kunal found out, she is taken a U turn. I am baffled with their relationship dynamics. Like sometimes, Kunal has an upper hand, sometime she. Like previously, both the times when she wanted to move out and recently, when they broke up ,she wanted to leave, she came out stronger, Kunal gave in to her demands. But then, Kunal comes back stronger and firmer, she stops and gives in. Is this because of upbringing or abuse that she gives in? Or a give and take in their relationship where both know how to handle the other person when they want something? Also, when did the communication happen, when did their bond become stronger that they even understand body language/behavior etc? Do the writers even know Nandini or are they still writing her and hence this whole confusion?

Anyways, Mauli's Kunal is really dumb that he got ensared with Dida's heart-attack drama but Nandini Kunal is actually intelligent. He actually can beat Rajdeep at his own game and connect dots when needed.
