People here are questioning other shows like JNDSD , but there vividha was forced to marry Atharva's brother which resulted in Atharva's memory loss and she clarifies with her husband that she will go back to Atharva only. There was not cheating on anyone.

Even in Bepannah, though CVs tried to justify pooja yash EMA, they at least had a strong base where pooja was married to a friend and yeah was married to a woman who was always in her lala land and still pooja yash were wrong to cheat on their spouses.

And here in this forum people justify kunal and nandini even after seeing how kunal was turned on by nandini"so rain dance and how nandini was free from an abusive marriage.

My question is how many victims of domestic violence can fall in love so fast and move on without even self exploring and doing a fresh start to have a respectable stand for herself ? Is it that easy?

For me this show flops not because of the concept but because of spineless leads who has no life of their own, poor execution, cheesy bg music to romanticize awkward sexual tension between kunal and nandini and last but not the least a disaster of a male lead, kunal is the worst written colors male lead by far if you compare with characters like Aditya, Roop , Herman and Deep where each of them has a better role than female leads.

Later found an apt , took her children with police help

Some time her child & she follows us in our family trips

Gajra Kotari was one of the writers of Astitva. I knew this from before but had forgotten about it. One can spot similarities, that story was centered around the wife who was being cheated on. Simran was a gynecologist too. This story is centered around Nandini and Kunal. But I am not sure how one can write astitva and then come down to this !!

Ok that was a completely different scenario. Vividha was FORCED! Her love was brutally beaten up and she had to marry the other guy. However, as soon as she found Atharv again she told Ravish straight up. She never hid anything from him, she even volunteered to leave the house as she couldn't stay in the marriage. She was bold and gutsy enough to admit that she could never love her husband.

Kunal, Nandini and Mauli's situation is completely different! Kunal and Mauli were IN love mutually, it was marriage by consent! Kunal fell in love' with Nandini, he confessed and now he's probably going to hide it from Mauli. That's betrayal all over!

Minnie you are comparing hasrateein with Silsila .Hasrateein was iconic show whereas silsila is shit .sorry for hard words .You know me very well i never criticized anybody or any show without any reason.Silsila is glorifying EMA whereas Hasrateein never glorified it .The treatment given to hasrateein was very mature and the script was very strong .Treatment given to silsila is regressive with god and destiny favoring EMA and all. Savi was stronger grey character whereas nandini is weak and poorly written character.Presentation and writing matters which is poor in silsila.

I am slightly confused .So progressive or regressive depends on whether one accepts EMA or not? Since when did EMA become a criteria for being regressive or progressive?

Personally loyalty is a big thing for me. As I person loyalty is one of the most important things for me in my life. So yes I cant support cheating of any form.I ts just who i am as a person. Really don't care if any one things that make me regressive.

Almost , almost everyone panicked as soon as they got know that Silsila is about EMA . As if it doesn't happen in real life and everyone is saint in real life. "How can they show EMA" Moral policing start ho gayi . People are having issues that how can someone like Nandani 😆 .

Regardless of what hypocrisy is shall one support EMA??

Even if there was some justification towards EMA as in the reasons and so on still it would be considered ethically wrong!! But in this show there is really no strong reasons why would someone betray their own wife like that(Sees one dancing in the rain and ogles - creep , pervert is the definition for such men). Rather I find the reason being Mauli's extreme trust on her husband!! Which is sad actually!!

Coming to your point of calling "Audience" as regressive - If for argument sake I do agree with your pun on hypocrisy but then what about those who have felt cheated by their spouses?? Aren't they also a part of the audience?? How come they are also labelled as regressive??
