Woman like Nandini have been through years of trauma and such comments are not appreciated or needed. So all I ask of you guys, is to be considerate. Yes you may not come across such woman but stories like Nandini are way too frequent. This is a compassionate story, you are not required to show empathy or anything, but maybe a little sensitivity will go a long way.

I may not relate to Nandini's personality but as a viewer I can relate to her pain and suffering.

Sorry no intent to offend or anything but this obscene way of degrading a woman you don't connect to was crawling into a flesh a bit too deeply and as a firm believer of equality and fairness, I felt some of the above statements were rather rash and appalling. Hence this post.

Mod Note: Please avoid discussing other people's opinions as this considered a form of moral policing and personal attacks. Additionally discussions of social media are strictly prohibited outside the Social Media Thread and the ATs.

Exactly education isn't a bearer of women empowerment, though it is highly regarded
It does have the power to change, but the fundamental line is character/trait
And that is why domestic violence is so common in the UK
Nandini isn't Nandini because she didn't study but she's Nandini because she believes in giving her husband a chance, a chance he never deserved. But I don't see that as a fault and might write another post highlighting the positive in her character once I've updated my story 😭

Exactly it does happen but why should relatabilty be accounted for sympathy? Just because you haven't seen such ordeal does not mean you can't emphasise with Nandini. How is that justified?

I agree with you Soph

It's a truth of society that they will stand only with the strong, the rich, the ones with influence.

If you can't do anything for me I don't prefer to see you; that's the mantra.

Sad thing is helping someone enriches you.

I guess Mauli will be the true heroine here
