Adhura Sapna

Hi Bhoomi,
Only yesterday I was watching Dance India Dance. In that one participant, I think the name was Kunwar, had the same story. He and his partner danced wonderfully yesterday. He had been dancing since childhood but his father who is in the "Police Force" didn't like it and always scolded him for it. The father himself admitted it on the show that today, with tears in his eyes, that he was very proud of his son's achievements and was ashamed for not having encouraged him earlier. This boy was lucky that he got to perform on such a platform and his efforts did not go waste unlike the protagonist of your poem.Today I think in cities like Mumbai at least parents encourage children in other fields besides education. In our times dance was considered to be something that people from good families did not take up.I was very fond of Bharat Natyam but couldn't learn it. But I fulfilled all my dreams of dancing, by getting my daughters trained in Bharat natyam.Love, tc ssh57

..hmm..i too somewhere heard a story like this,,but the ending was definetly happy..i am talking about sudha chandran!!!shes a great dancer...i dont why i remembered her after reading u r poem....

Kitno ko Nritya Pratiyogita ke liye Usne sikhaya, Swayam kabhi Aise bhavya manch par nahi naach paya, Badalo ke paar jab wah Is Duniya se chala gaya, Uska yeh sapna to hamesha keliye adhura reh gaya.

great 👏 👏

Hi Sri,
wow!! u replied soooooooo fast i had just posted and saw u reservd it too😆... u know i feel extremely happy when i see someone responding or reservign so soon.. its like i and the other person r looking at the same thing. 😉.. its a great cute feelign u see..
yes this is a true story and Sudha chandran i think she is an inspiration for everyone... dont know why u remembered her but somethign related ot dance and for sure Sudha chandran makes us feel nothign is impossible...
In this real story sadly the biggest crime was he was a boy so boys dancing it was not considered good even for fun.. strange but he was choreographing when he was in 9th as he was that good.. he use to teach and not let his parents know.. at the age of 17 he died and all his dreams which he shared with us as he taught us for some dance competition remained unfulfilled ... when i see DID and other shows i feel he woudl be alive and he woudl have got such opportunity he owuld have achived a lot.. his dream of dancing on a big stage remained unfulfilled... only as his parents disliked and felt ashamed to see him dance...
Happy to know u liked reading this one.. tc

Hi Sumaiya,
yes dear , even i feel parents shoudl not look at what society thinks but what talent the child has and what makes him happy to try and let him pursue his dreams... now when he died r they going to be able to fulfill hsi dreams ever??? I wish they had let him be and dance freely rather than secretly do what he loved.. it was pure talent not a shamful act.. but why people perceive i guess boys are still now expected to earn learn work and take task which r manly...
Glad dear that u read and liked it.. thanks dear for commenting and appreciating.

Hi Sharadha,
yes , even i saw DID , i am a regular viewer of DID and i love the show. I observe those things and felt how this poem is real not only for one boy but for so many guys as well.. but time r changing and hopefully the end is much better...
This story si abotu a boy who stayed in Mumbai itself but then also only when he danced for fun also his parents discouraged him feelgin ashamed.. and he was soooo good indancing.. his moments were better than any girl.. he was very good in indian dance folk dance.. and his dream was once ot dance on a big stage.. he taught us and he was just 15 we were dancing on stage hwile we were ok he was superb and never could dance on a stage.. he died and his dream remained unfulfilled.. whenver i remembeer him I feel its important to fulfill some small dreams and wishes for sure.. why coudlnt his parents do that.. he died and now they will have to remain with the pain of his dreams remained unfulfiled... along with their own.. :(
U liked Bharatnatyam.. i liked it too.. i coudlnt learn as well.. reason r different though... i guess girls learnign dance is seen ok till a certain age but boys learnign any classical form is still a joke and something parents usually dont encoruage...
loved to read ur comemnts dear..

Yeh Kalyug Hai

Kahte Hain Yeh Kalyug hai Bhai,
Mujhe to lagti hai Yeh Ek Gehri Khai.
Kahin, Ghar ke jhagado ko leker log bahar ladtey rehtey hain,
To kahin, Is Tamashe ko dikha suna kar log paisa banatey hain.
Kahin, Mata-Pita ke pass apne baccho ke liye aajkal samay nahi,
To kahin, Bachho ke pass Mata pita ko rakhne ke liye jagah nahi.
Kahin, Apno ko dekhe unse kuch baat kiye Ek arsaa hogaya hai,
To kahin, Sath pale bade hue Parivar ko batwara sukoon de raha hai.
Kahin, Bacche Apne Guruji ki Khilli udate hain,
To kahin Guruji baccho ki masumiyat ka fayda uthate hain.
Kahin, Paisa Paney keliye Insaan ko niich harkat bhi manjoor hai,
To kahin Shauhrat pane ke baad paiso se nachata yeh magruur hai.
Kahin, Log Ishwar Allah ke naam par logon ko bhadkatey hain,
To kahin, log ajeeb shaktiyon ke naam par logon ko thagtey hain.
Kahin, jeevangadi ko daudane ke liye Log har rishta Bhula rahe hain,
To kahin, Jeevengadi mey pissker Kai log Aatmahatya kar rahe hain.
Kahin, Bhukamp,Tsunami, baadh se Ek shann mey lakho jane chali gayi,
To kahin, Atankwad ke naam par karodo masumo ki bali chadai gayi.
Kalyug ko Hum to samjh nahi saktey hian,
Is kalyug mey pal pal jeetey martey hain.

Meri Maa
Kokh mey rakh mere aney ka besabri sey intezaar kiya hai,
Atyant peedaa sehkar mujhey Jeevan dekar khushi ankhosey chalkaya hai,
Nanhi 'Pari' main Appki Maa Aapkey pyaar se kitna nikhari Maa...
Mere sath bachhi ban Aapney khel kheley Kitney,
Payal pehnakar mujhey chalna sikhlaya Aapney,
Ghar ka sara kaam karkey mujhe school tution leke jati,
Papa ke aney sey pehley khana banakar mera homework bhi karati...
Mere exams mey Kitna mera dhyaan rakhti,
Ghabrahat door kar hausla dekar meri liye duayein karti,
Bachi thi tab Maa key tyaag prem ka saccha mol nahi samjhti thi,
Jo har pal saath rehti sabkuch karti, woh jazbaat mamuli samajh bethi thi...
Yeh to badey hotey hotey jaana aur samajh rahi thi,
Maa Akeli Kitni mushkilo sey guzari, kitni zimedariyan sambhal rahi thi,
Maa Aapki lori aur aapki godi yehi to sachh mey jannat hai,
Aap pass hoti hain lagta hai mutthi mey meri kayanaat hai...
'Pari ki Maa' Ban Aapto isimey bohat santusht hain,
Main jaanti hun, kahin chuut gaya Aapka khudka Astitva hai,
Main aapki duniya hun aur aapney meri liye sab kuch bhula diya,
Main janti hun Aapney Maa ka har ek farz bakhubisey Adaa kiya...
Aapney mujhe diye acchey sanskar, pyaar aur bohat sari khushiyaa,
Ladki hun iss par fakr karu Apne balpey banau Apni pehchaan Apni Duniya,
Aaj main uss chadhaw pey hun jahan Main yeh Aangan chod chalungi,
Maa yeh Vaada hai aurosey judungi lekin Aapkey liye Parayi kabhi nahi hongi...

Aapsey Prernaley duniya maine Peroee Maa Aapsey uncha Mere liye Nahi koi!

hey bhoomi
two poems at once great

yeh kalyug hain:

u r true bhoomi its kalyug ..on one hand if we can see the technology is so latest n fast that it makes all our works easy on the other hand we could see that all these technology is also making our life miserable......people have changed,,,crime, terrosrist, natural calamities, relations everything has changed,,,people became more selfish n only wants money!!!!
wht people are not understanding is we are destroying ourselves not others!!!

meri ma:
what can i say...a mother is like a candle which melts to give us light so that we can go ahead....
we can never repay anything back to her....but only can give back the love which she expects....
thanks for writing such a beautiful poem..remembered my mom...😊 😊 😊 ..i will definetly thank her today again for doing me so much...

didnt point out lines because i loved all of them.. 👏

great!!
oh happy journey n waiting for u r poem /story when u come back!!! 😃

Yeh Kalyug Hai:

Kitna sahi kaha iss poem me tumne....har koi har kisika fayda uthata hai....and I liked specially the fact that....it was not one-sided....I mean kahin bacche parents ka khyal nahi rakhna chahte to kahin parents bhi baccho ko waqt nahi dete....and shishya-guru k mamle me bhi kuch aisa hi hai....kuch bhi to ek tarfa nahi hai....aur shayad isiliye aaj ye haal hai.....well...watever it is...I wud just say....u did the work perfectly.

Meri Maa:

Mujhe hamesha se laga hai....ek maa chahe kitna bhi kam kare....hamesha sabse bahut zyada karti hai....I mean.....its not easy to take care of each single thing....to keep every1 happy.....yet she does that....and may be amidst all these loses her own identity....I really liked it Bhoomi....and I'm glad u wrote it...

And u r travelling...gud....hav a safe journey dear.
