Anupamaa: Anupama compares the selfless service of police officers to that of a mother

In tonight's episode of Anupamaa, the Shah family gears up for Ganpati Visarjan. Leela thinks about her brother Bailu and feels he would have truly enjoyed staying back for a day to witness the Visarjan. Hasmuk reasons that Bailu must have had some urgent work, otherwise, he would not have left without spending more time with them.

He also appreciates the arrangements made by the administration for the Visarjan, noting that without such planning, the entire city would have been stuck in long queues. At the same time, Anupama observes the police officers efficiently managing the crowd.

Anupama’s Gratitude Towards Police Officers

Amid the preparations, Anupama takes a moment to express her gratitude to the police officers and constables present. She appreciates their tireless service to society and draws a parallel between their duty and that of a mother—both work selflessly for others, yet their efforts often go unnoticed. Many times, they are not valued until something goes wrong, and if even a small mistake happens, all the blame falls on them.

Anupama then humbly apologises to the officers and tells them that since her house is close by, they can come over anytime if they need water or even wish to use the washroom.

Ganpati Rituals and Family Prayers

During the ritual, Anupama narrates the tale of Lord Ganesh sacrificing one of his tusks so that Ved Vyas could complete writing the Mahabharata. The Shahs silently hope Anupama will remain with them for longer, cherishing the bond she continues to share with the family. Anupama then folds her hands before Ganpati Bappa, thanking him for his constant blessings and praying for the safety and happiness of Bharti, Rahi, and everyone else.

Meanwhile, Ansh and Prarthana discuss their baby and turn to God for protection over their growing family. Anupama encourages Devika to make a wish during the prayers. Devika, however, suddenly feels unwell and dizzy after asking God to take control of everything, and she requests Anupama to continue with the rituals on her behalf. At the same time, the media arrives to cover the grand Ganpati Visarjan performed by the Dance Ranis.

Paritosh Faces the Goons

Elsewhere, Paritosh receives a mysterious call and steps aside. To his horror, he is ambushed by goons who demand repayment. Terrified, he begs them to spare his life and soon runs back to the Shahs, pleading with Anupama for help, shocking everyone around.

Khyati’s Dream

On the other side, at the Kothari residence, Parag corners Khyati about meddling with Anupama's eye drops. Khyati boldly admits her deed. Parag questions whether she feels any shame, while Vasundhara reminds her of her Kothari identity.

But Khyati, unapologetic, declares that she still intends to take revenge on Anupama. Rahi, Prem, Anil, Pari, and Raja openly criticise her actions. Disappointed, Parag orders Khyati to leave the house. Suddenly, Khyati awakens—it was all just a dream. In reality, her odd behaviour leaves the Kothari family puzzled.

Paritosh Exposed Before the Shahs

Back with the Shahs, Paritosh hides behind Anupama, desperately begging for protection. Anupama, enraged, questions him about his misdeeds, stating that even death would not make him mend his ways.

The goons urge him to stop using his mother as a shield. Terrified, he blurts out that he has no money left because he had bet everything on Rahi's team. He further admits that he assumed Anupama would remain trapped in the room and wouldn't be able to reach the stage, but to his surprise, she managed to get out and his plan failed.

Truth About Gautam Revealed

This revelation leaves everyone stunned, and they begin questioning him about whether he was the one who locked Anupama inside. Paritosh quickly clarifies that it wasn't him but Gautam who had done it. To prove his claim, he shows them a video that captures Gautam handing over money to a staff member and instructing him to lock Anupama in the room.

Elsewhere, Gautam feels relieved that no one has uncovered his role in confining Anupama.

Instead of feeling remorseful, Paritosh shamelessly tells the goons to use the video evidence to extort money from the Kotharis. He even suggests asking for extra cash and keeping a share for himself. This audacity infuriates Anupama, and in a surge of anger, she slaps her son across the face.

In the precap, Anupama continues to lash out at Paritosh, thrashing him in anger and ultimately disowning him. She commands him to leave the Shah household immediately. Later, Anupama visits the Kotharis, where she tells Parag that she has something crucial to reveal in front of the entire family.
