What a dhamaakedaar introduction of Ahir Chatwal!! Nice hair by the way...

Anokhi is sooooo innocent, the constable asks her how many days aastha missing and she says two hours, as if it is equivalent to two decades... She was really very good here...

Her introduction to ahir emphasises on a person who cares for women and ready to punish any male who do not respect women. So for Anokhi Ahir is a saviour for aastha. Anokhi who is as disturbed as aastha could be, needed someone like Ahir to calm her. When we think of it, she does not have anyone other than Babli who can be her support, but for aastha case, Babli would not serve any purpose.

Ahir started his equation with anokhi by offering her water and this further develop with tea.

Ahir does explain to Anokhi that aastha seems like a responsible person and she might be wanting to be by herself. As much as aastha was hurt by Shaurya's words, Anokhi was also affected by it and translating her feelings to be Aastha's.

Itna please bolne ki zaroorat nahin hein and the smile of Ahir is a balm to anybody's heart...

Details mein dounga, background score and Shaurya's prowl announces the takkar to be witnessed. Shaurya may shout and say that aastha is nobody but when Ahir asked his relationship, mother automatically came to him, but then he refrained from pronouncing it completely. But he does acknowledge being aastha's son.

Anokhi again went on her high horse, lecturing Shaurya on the way he talked and explaining that her Fir would be written. Forget that there is any Prof student anymore, it is just on paper, in reality these two have already crossed all boundaries.

Listening to Shaurya explaining to Anokhi why this happened is in fact all true. Shaurya was practically pushed into this situation but not just by Anokhi but also by Devi, Shaan and aastha herself. Shaurya wanted to be left alone, but everyone expected something from him. Anokhi wanted him to mend his relationship as if he is to be blamed for everything, Devi put the pressure of Shaan divorce and his role in it, Shaan wanted him to respect Aastha as she is his mother. But what did he want?, peace and distance from aastha and anyone attached to her.

Shaurya's words did affect Anokhi but she hid it well by putting all the blame on him. From fighting on whose FIR was to be written, it changed into who was to be blamed for what happened.

Devi and her insecurity with respect to Shaurya was so obvious and the way Gaytri told her off was top top top. Devi is being shown here how the scale of motherwood is changing direction and she is losing ground...gaytri was very good today, would have liked more of this Gaytri when Alok did his Priyanka stunt...

Ahir offering tea to Shakhi was like calming two stubborn children, and both Shaurya and anokhi looked like kids...

But the Sabherwal arrogance sprang forth...and Shaurya started using his 'contacts?' to impress Ahir.

Incredible later he would blame anokhi for same tactic..

Anokhi stubbornness is to be admired, she is practically forcing Ahir to go search for Aastha, whilst Shaurya leaves the place having been put in his place by Ahir.

Coming back for his phone we observe the first sign of jealousy of Shaurya and witness the dumb anokhi not understanding what is happening.

You know when you grow old and you look at teenagers and find them annoying in some aspects, that is what i felt for Anokhi today! Someone please STOP the aastha jaap and her holier-than-thou attitude.

But Aahir chatwal is here and he is a looker :P (also a fab actor). Loved the intro and also the tone of stability of mine and empathy with with he was introduced. Calm, composed and kind.

Funny think, Anokhi behaved like Shaurya today, steam rolling, everything and everyone to get what she wants. It annoyed me and yet I admired the courage.

Shaurya reaches the police station. For a smart man who most probably knows that an FIR is not lodged before 24 hours, him at the station gives me a sense of internal panic. His question to Anokhi was on point..who was she? And she still chose to pick up a fight and taunt him! SERIOUSLY? I get her, her panic and love for Aastha but its hard to watch! I honestly loved how Shaurya literally scolded her because she pushed him to the brink and Aastha blew the lid off. He is guilty for misbehaving with his mom. He is partially the reason she wanted some space but his statement to Anokhi was vaild. She gave aastha some hope and annoyed the f*** out of him!

"Kyunki main apna gussa, apni nafrat, apna dard, sambhal sakta hoon, mujhe kisi ki zaroorat nahi padhti"

What a beautiful dialogue! This is who shaurya is!

Devi is so insecure that she displaces her anger on Gayatri. Loved that Gayatri taunted her 'parvarish'. No one becomes a mother just by being called maa or forcing the other person to call them maa. Both women fail here.

Shaurya and Ahir, dont like each other much and it's quiet evident. Ahir miffed Shaurya when he lodged Anokhi's FIR (but is it not weird? Not accept it by a mature/old family member but a young girl?..maybe i am overthinking it?) The position vs power is quiet evident here!

The last scene when Shaurya comes back, to me it felt like pure jealousy. This is the first time he has seen her with anyone but himself. Note the immediate accusation...this will come back to haunt him. Ahir holding anokhi's hard for so long actually did look a little off!

Side Note 1: I wish they had given Anokhi better dialogue's for the jaap. It feels like a poem recital..my maa, guru, and makes her logic even more annoying.

Side note 2 : While i understand Shaan's anger. Him accusing shaurya is a new low because he was an absentee father who is now pushing his sone into a relationship he does not want

It was jealousy right? But why? All of a sudden? My reasoning is because he has never seen her with anyone else. There were wrapped so much in each other, that this is the first time another 'man' has entered their universe. Do you have any other thoughts?

Definitely jealousy to me, and you are right ahir is the competition to Anokhi's attention. On top of that he is young, handsome has a steady and good job. Every sane girl would fall for such guys and not types like Shaurya who come with a lot of baggage.

An amazing introduction to ACP… showing him in a positive light. He is just.. talking about human rights, he is respectful towards women.. thank god his character was consistent till the end. Anokhi being Anokhi went straight to the Acp and this is when his face is shown in full to the audience.. only when Anokhi sees him. This might imply he has an important role to play in the future.He definitely must’ve scored 100% in Anokhi’s opinion at that point of time. And why not? He made complete sense when he told the lady to not treat her husband as God and take care of herself. The way he tried to calm down Anokhi by giving some logical thought to her fear for Astha( with a smile on his face) is ❤️.

There enters the one and only Ss questioning Anokhi’s position to lodge a complaint. A well thought out one it is when he says he is her son( because she considers him as her son but he doesn’t consider her as his mother). The blame game starts and here I feel both are right in their own respective ways and they should’ve realised that the need of the hour is they take some action instead of arguing which wouldn’t help. But neither is ready to concede as both are equally stubborn and believe they are right. In the whole discussion Ss raised all valid points from his side but Anokhi just mentioned that he was at fault and she didn’t have anything much to argue except she wanted to unite a mother with her son. She really isn’t aware of all that Ss had to go through as a child because of Astha and is of the opinion that it’s a normal mother son relation. Had Shaan not neglected and had BM not poisoned him, he would’ve grown up the normal way a child would’ve been without a mother( without so much hatred).

The Acp rightfully points out and suggests they go into his cabin and discuss.

The tashan between Ss and ACp is something worth watching. Simply in awe of these scenes. The calm and composed ACp.. the way he rubbishes off ss’s suggestions in a polite way and presents himself with his ideologies is wonderful. Along with Acp comes his famous chai🤣🤣 and because of acp’s chai we get to witness a jealous SS.. how can this girl impress ACP so easily? Why Ss.., did you want to impress the Acp before Anokhi??😂😂

Why did the writers make Gayatri so silent in all the other episodes. She was the one whose slight push made ss visit the hospital. Today she was right when she asked BM if she doesn’t believe in her parvarish? Is her love so weak that showing concern for his birth mother can wipe his love for BM away or reduce it? For someone who understands love they know it can’t happen. Unfortunately for BM Ss is her trophy she won more than a son and she is all possessive and scared to share him with anyone ( Astha, Anokhi) who is strong enough to cut through the layers to reach his heart.

ACP Ahir Chattwal entry!! The start of ShauHir. The start of AnoHir...did they ever get a shipping name?? We've started the story of Anokhi's paani and Shaurya's chai. Two simultaneous beverage obsession by our ACP.

Ahir's character was established as a level headed, patient, and dutiful officer of the law. Anokhi and Ahir had a great impression of each other, while Shaurya and Ahir got off on the wrong foot. The CVs deliberately presented someone diametrically opposite to Shaurya in demeanor as an option for Anokhi. But at the end, the heart wants what the heart wants. Her heart wanted a hot-tempered and passionate man.

One thing I appreciate about Shaurya's character is that he's been allowed to be emotional(props to CVs). He laid his heart bare in front of strangers at the police station. "Main unka beta hoon". "Tum mujhe bataongi, mere Ma ke saath mera kya rishta hai" "Apna ghussa, apna nafrat, apna dard sambal sakta hoon" "Andar se andar tootne laga" He owns up to his emotions. Anokhi was frustrating in this scene, continuing to rail against him. I understand that she's scared, but she didn't want to take any responsibility for her actions. "Sab dosh aap ka hai...zimadaar aap hai" Ahir was also questionable in that scene. He seemed to take Anokhi's story at face value and made comments against Shaurya. It didn't help that Shaurya was being his patronizing self. I loved Ahir's reply of "aap itne bade hai, dil bhi bada rakhiye", which shuts up Shaurya Sabherwal. ShaHir's tashan starts with that!

Side note:

~ I loved how Devi tried to take credit for Shaurya's good heart and Gayatri twisting it all and talking back. We deserved to hear more savagery from her.

~ The end scene with Ahir helping Anokhi looks like the first spark of jealousy for Shaurya. But of course he twisted that into Anokhi trying to impress the ACP to get an advantage. He already had such a bad opinion of Ahir that the green monster rearing its ugly head did not help. This will be the beginning of all the venom that Shaurya spews on Anokhi in the library.

~ Also, I'm so glad to hear that Hitesh got a male lead role on ITV. He totally deserves it!
