So I wanted to express an unpopular opinion...as usual. But I must say Devi really has Mother's instinct and intituation that her child was unwell or there something amiss. That instinct can't come without love and care for the child even if he's not yours. As much as I don't like Devi and her thought process or her manipulation she really loves Shaurya. May be her love isnt unconditional and is controlling but with sense of security and safety in knowing Shaurya is her even if Astha is back will make her see light. Please let me know your thoughts 🙏🙂
I have a differing opinion. I don't think it was intuition but rather what she knew that got her worried. let us look at the sequence of events-
1) She talks to Shaurya who tells her he is headed home shortly.
2) Shagun makes an appearance and Devi knows that Shaurya tried to find her in rain desperately. She thinks he had an emotional response as expected (she does not know what he truly thinks because for most part Shaurya is an introvert )
3)Shaurya vanishes off the scene, there is no call and he does not return home. Her fear stems from the fact that she might have underestimated his reaction and he was truly affected enough to hide and sulk somewhere or have had an accident in his emotional state in the rain.
This was no life threatening situation. If she really had a mother's intuition she might have had panic attacks when he got caught in riots or was dealing with kidnappers.
If the precap is right, she is publicly casting doubt on Anokhi and Shaurya's relationship. It will destroy Anokhi and her life but it will also impact Shaurya. Anokhi can be a gold-digger, seductress but what does staying overnight with Anokhi in his college's hostel say about Shaurya's character. She is willing to pay that price. I can't see Astha ever doing that or any mother putting their Raja beta son in that situation without assessing the truth.
However I cannot deny that she loves him in her own way as long as she can wrap him around her finger. It is interesting that she filled Shaurya's head not only with hatred for Astha but also drew him afar from his father. She rarely intervened when Shaurya spouts nonsense like accusing Shaan of calling media. In other words she wants to be the only person who matters to Shaurya. She is smart enough to know if Shaurya let Shagun go that easily, he had no feelings for her. Look at how desperate he was to stop Anokhi even though you can chalk a lot of that desperation to guilt. When Shaurya returned back with Anokhi, she did not ask where he was and what happened. Her stance was you disappointed me and you have stopped sharing secrets. Only a promise could appease her.
There are things that I don't understand like why she zeroed in on Shaurya instead of Yash. The guy is 30 years old, why does she think she can control him with her lies. If she really loved Shaurya and thought Shaurya loved Shagun, why did she incite Shaurya against Shagun?
