Although, she never bore Shaurya, she love shaurya as his mother. All good or bad qualities that Shaurya has, is given/taught by Devi. Astha was never there to take care of him. Lets ignore the reason.

2 scenes I will love to see,

1, where Devi stands for Shaurya against Tej, for his happiness, may be accepting Anokhi.

2, Astha acknowledging the fact, that like Yashoda and Devaki, Shaurya has 2 mothers, not one.

Yes I would want Devi to be reformed in the end and Shaurya gets love from all 4 Shaan Astha and Tej Devi...that would be so ❤

Devi is actually a nice woman who does everything to keep her family together. She preserves our ancient traditions and tries to maintain order and discipline in the family and to prevent it from falling apart (a la Dina Pathak in Khoobsurat, old one). She is only against those who try to break the family, like Aastha. She never tried to throw Gayatri and Kanchan out before. It was only when they tried to meet Aastha that she went against them. She actually believes Aastha is a selfish irresponsible woman and that is what she has told Shaurya. What is wrong in that? She has given all her love and attention to the lonely child who was abandoned by his mother so it is not wrong for her to expect that he marries a woman she approves. Most mothers do that. Even though she did not give birth to Shaurya, her maternal instincts are strong. She knows something is wrong with Shaurya. She is against Anokhi because she feels Anokhi is a stubborn girl who will not listen to her elders and this will cause chaos and conflict, and she is not wrong. Anokhi will actually question when she feels something is not justified.

It is Astha who is the villain. She is using Anokhi as a pawn to get back at the Sabharwals for throwing her out of the house. She waited 25 years for the correct opportunity. She is now trying to trap Shaan and her next target will be Shaurya. Slowly she will strenghten her foothold in the family and then usurp all the power from the Sabharwals. Who knows Ahir might be her son from an aduterous relationship who is also a co conspirator. Her actions are so subtle that we are not even aware of it and only seeing Devi's manipulations. Poor Shaurya and Anokhi are unaware that they are just pawns in her game.

🤣

Don't think the heat has got to my head. I would actually watch the hell out of such a show. They have given so much depth to Devi, why would Aastha be left behind. Aajkal wo kafi bland ho gayi hai, so I added some shades. 😉 I would rather have her as a grey character than the bechari abla nari version we are seeing lately.

Wow 👏😳 I mean you have left me speechless with the power of your words...how about an OS?

Well, if you wanna hear my opinion Devi is just an overprotective character for all the absurd reasons we are aware of. She cares about the Sabherwal family reputation, status & likewise the reason of her bringing Shagun back in Shaurya's life is for her to keep on controlling him, making him believe what she decides is the best for him & distance Shaurya from the threat called Anokhi, whom she considers as a girl Aastha is using to take charge of the Sabherwal's again.

Shaurya comes home on time, he obeys (used to obey we can say 😆) the elders of his family & he knows badi ma cares about him but things have started changing & the constant darr of whether Shaurya can go missing all of a sudden without anyone of them knowing could be a problem for her. Its like he's slipping away from her hands & there was a scene of Devi few weeks back when she said this as a monologue

Just because we feel worried about someone or their health doesn't have to mean that we're connected to them by heart or we are actually concerned 🤷🏻 (Saying with experience) Even if its with your close people

But yeah I don't completely disagree with you either. At least about 25% of care must be there. At least when bringing up Shaurya she didn't let him feel left out or anything as a child growing in to a man. Devi is a manipulative figure with no self-respect LOL That's what makes us feel nothing about her worrying for Shaurya even for real

Hey Sew...I am well. Hope you are doing good too. You can't totally fake your love for someone and that's why there is hope for her character.

Thanks. I devoured Sidney Sheldon instead of M&B during my college days. Wronged women coming back to get revenge from men who scorned them is a favorite trope of mine. Will definitely try writing an OS based on this. Can't say if it will be good enough.

Hey! I missed your analysis and meaningful posts a lot in the past days. Hope you’re doing goodsmiley31

I love this post. No matter how much I dislike Devi and her actions but the way she was very concerned for Shaurya and was begging Tej to look for him was actually a little painful to watch because she does care for Shaurya and she clearly knew he’s in trouble. No matter how controlling she is, I felt the genuine concern and the tension clearly visible on her face.
I rather disliked how Tej shut her up like dude, understand her feelings once. She’s a mother and she will be worried whether Shaurya is 3 or 30.
