Finally I read both the chapters and Kudos to your VD love Miss Deewani that you are coming up with such awesome and super duper great concepts 👏👏👏👏🤣🤣🤣

Gosh !!! I couldn't resist this VD/Harman in your story He is hot , witty , handsome , daring , naughty and Passionate ☺️☺️☺️I'm waiting to see his devil , romantic and sweet side also 😳

What 😲😲😲 Harman is calling Maninder by name 🤣🤣🤣 Oh crap this is heights 🤣🤣 Ohk for a change I'm loving this Saumya who is smart , witty , intelligent and a dignified lady but at the same time I feel pity on her that she couldn't do so many things in her life which she desired for and always had to do the things which her parents wanted ... Poor lass 😭 But I'm hoping that with Harman entering in her life she may do things which she has always desired for ... Atleast for once she hears and do the things which her heart tells her rather than what her parents tell her to do 😛😛😛

OMG 😆 So Saumya felt something in her when she saw Harman 😆😆 LOL ... Its not chapagne line was hillarious by Harman and the way he went on to explain that why its called sparkling wine 🤣🤣 Matlab banda poori jaankari rakhta hai about wines (his favourite drink) 🤣🤣 And the way Saumya has lent all her attention on this topic of wine vs champagne was LOL 🤣🤣

Ahaan so HaYa wanted to try out some fun moments 😉😉😉 Hmmm so saumya doesn't want something like One night stand 😛😛 I loved that part when they asked each other about GF/BF 🤣🤣 So much interest to know if the other one had been in any relationship or not 🤣🤣

Overall it was a sexy update and I'm loving it ... Waiting for a FAST update ASAP 🤣🤣 Gosh this story is something so unique and plus HaYa's encounter till now has been so sexy , witty , gutsy 👏👏👏

And don't you dare stop writing this FF bcz I want to read this stoy till its end 😡🤣🤣🤣

Good writing and keep writing 😳😳

CHAPTER 3: THE DINNER AND THE TRUTH

I checked my makeup-or lack of- one last time in the mirror. Instead of my Studio Fix Foundation, I went for a BB cream, set it with powder, applied some kohl and baby pink lip gloss.

My parents expected me to look perfect at all times and unfortunately due to this, made me wear makeup at a young age. Thanks to Clinique, my skin had cleared out, all acne caused by makeup gone.

I checked my outfit again- it was pretty cute according to me. Black, tight, high-waist pants, a Signorelli crop trop and ankle length black boots. Casual and fashionable.

'Calm the hell down, Soumya' I told myself. 'This is just a dinner.'

But I knew very well this wasn't 'just a dinner', we were going to Harman Singh's home after all. The man who was almost twice my age and had the audacity to flirt with me openly. The man who had been pretty explicit about the fact that he wanted me. The man whom I had started crushing on.

Due to a stupid magazine interview in the morning, I had to stay at my parents' house for the night. I missed my Bandra penthouse, it was way better living alone. And then I could let my mind wander off to last week's party's events without getting caught.

Surbhi, my crazy bratty younger sister, knew how Harman Singh came onto me and stated his intentions clearly. I just did not tell her how close we had gotten to kiss- she might be eighteen but was my baby sister. Still, I am pretty sure she knows what happened, teens these days are WAY too smart!

Grabbing my iPhone, I ran downstairs in the living room, then out of the bungalow to the car. Dad and Surbhi were already seated, both busy in their phones. Mom was nowhere to be seen. I took my seat next to Surbhi and peaked into her phone- Candy Crush. Stiffling a giggle, I asked dad, 'Where's mom?'

'She said she'll take ten minutes,' dad replied.

I sighed, 'You know her ten means thirty, right? We can't afford to be late.'

'Of course,' Surbhi piped in, grinning at me. I hid my face to hide my red cheeks.

We heard the passenger door open and mom sat in the car. 'Sorry, I was busy with my makeup. So much stress these days, you know.'

'Like what, counting the non-existent lines on your face?' Dad mocked. I glared at him, he was about to trigger a fight again.

Mom gasped loudly, 'You see them too?! Oh I told that Doctor not to go easy with the botox!' she wailed. 'Now we can't go!'

'Shut up the two of you!' I screamed. 'Dad, stop saying anything. Mom, there were no lines on your face, ever, what are you getting botoxed for? And dad, just drive the wretched car, we are already late! You know how long it takes from Malabar Hill to Lokhandwala. The traffic is going to be horrible and we'll be taking three hours!' It was 5 pm right now.

Thankfully everyone shut up and the car began moving. I put on my headphones and looked outside the window. My mother was really a pain in the ass. Nimrat 'Nimmi' Kaur got married to Maninder Singh when she was eighteen and a year later I came into this world.

My mother was the typical materialistic woman, all she cared about having the best jewellery, makeup, clothes. Plus she had this phobia that she shouldn't look older than me which is crazy. So now her pretty face is pretty heavily botoxed, lightened and tightened and somewhere its started to scare me. She's the woman you could get nightmares of once you see her. Even Valak from Conjuring 2 wasn't as scary.

My parents have a marriage of convenience, there is really not love- there never was. So while mom keeps herself busy with shopping and gossiping, dad spends days in foreign countries for 'business purposes'- who's he trying to fool? I even heard from someone that he has a Suite booked in certain 5 star hotels where he'd 'entertain' his guests.

So I have a mother who doesn't give a damn about my life, only worries about my looks and marriage while my father has affairs all over the world. Told you my life sucked.

'Time to have a nap...' I closed my eyes and drifted into consciousness. This was the only way I could escape reality...

*****

'Di, wake up,' I heard Surbhi whisper in my ear, shaking me gently.

'Have we reached?' I was groggy and very sleepy.

She passed me a water bottle, 'Just ten minutes more.'

I nodded and sipped some water. 'I need to brush my teeth.' If there is one thing I hated, it was bad breath. And no matter how inconvenient it was, I would brush my teeth.

'Do it at Harman's house,'

'Hmmm...' And with that the car came to a halt.

'We reached,' I heard dad say. We all got out of the car and moved towards the luxurious, high-end building in front of us. We entered the lobby, while dad parked the car. The lobby was sophisticated with cream walls. The maroon false ceiling held a huge chandelier. There were glass panels with artwork on them. The front desk had four people, all impeccably dressed in sharp grey suits, the women wearing pencil skirts.

We walked upto their table; dad had just joined us.

'Excuse me-'

'Mr. Maninder Singh and family, guests of Mr. Harman Singh,' one man smiled at us. 'Yes, Mr. Harman told us to expect you all.' His voice was extremely warm and friendly. Stand up he said, 'Please follow me.'

He gestured us to walk us him, guiding us to the elevators. There must have been about ten elevators in this place.

'It is a 40-storey building,' the man explained, looking at my expression. 'And Mr. Harman owns a penthouse at the 40th floor. Since he is a public figure and we respect his privacy, there is only one lift that goes to that floor, it opens directly in front of his penthouse door.'

So it was like my Bandra penthouse- I too had a lift that directly opened into the living room.

The man took out a card and swiped it on a slot next to the elevator door. He then entered a pin code, explaining this was all for security reasons. The elevator then opened, we were asked to step in. The doors closed and we were moving towards the 40th floor. There was a ding and the doors opened, revealing the most elegant and spacious living room I had ever seen.

The walls were painted beige with accents of dark brown, the floors had white marble tiles that shone, literally. Never had I seen a marble tiles so shiny, maintaining them is really a high maintenance job. One wall which would've been facing the scenic beauty was replaced with huge windows that touched the ceiling; I noticed these windows were slid doors which opened up to a huge balcony with deck chairs and potted plants; you could see the suburban area of Lokhandwala lit up.

I was awe-struck that I never noticed Harman staring at me with his bad boy smirk on his face. The minute I saw him, my cheeks deepened in colour. My memories hadn't done justice to him, one week had been way too long. I looked at him like a thirsty man looks at water in a desert, trying to memorize his features- intense eyes, angular nose, pouty lips and amazing jawline and body. To make matters worse, he was wearing dark blue faded jeans that fit him snugly, black converse and a white button-down shirt. He had very conveniently left the top two buttons open.

'Harman!' Dad said loudly, making me snap out of my reverie. I saw them hugging and smiled at Surbhi. Mom went next, greeting him, both of them exchanging those stupid 'air kisses'; mom making sure her makeup and stretched face wouldn't touch Harman's.

'Yo Harman!' Surbhi greeted him; he gave her a one-arm hug, chuckling at her innocence.

'How are you, Surbhi?'

'I am good, but college is annoying.' That made everyone laugh, Surbhi always had the habit of giving away more than necessary information!

'Ahh, Soumya,' I heard the sexual undertone in hie voice as he approached me. Before I knew it, he had swooped me into his arms for a hug. His hands grazed at the bare skin of my crop top and while this hug looked innocent to everyone, we knew it wasn't.

'Hello Harman,' I breathed when we pulled away. He very cunningly grazed his nose against mine, leaving me a mess again. God this man would really be the death of me! 'How are you?'

'Busy since a few days, my schedule's been hectic. Lets all head to the bar and have this conversation.' He never let go of me, keeping his hand at the small of my back while guiding us to the bar. I knew my parents were super dumb and couldn't understand anything but I also knew my sister was staring at me.

'Uh, where is the washroom?' I asked Harman as he began making drinks for my parents.

'Go straight to the right. First door,' he flashed those dimples and me and I literally ran from there- someone stop him from being so freaking hot!

The first thing I did was brush my teeth, my mouth was stinking from the nap I had. Then I began breathing heavily. Harman was doing things to me that no one else had been able to do till now, and I knew my self control was fading. Today was the first time I noticed his long fingers, you know what they say, long fingers long d-

'STOP IT SOUMYA!' I scolded myself. 'He is a playboy. He just wants you because you are young and innocent in all ways, a virgin. He just wants to f**k. He has no feelings for you. God knows how many girls have been in this house in his bedroom time and again.' It stung when i told myself this but I had to stop myself before I could get hurt. I wasn't a lose character, and even though I wanted him badly I was going to make him work for it. Sighing, I reapplied my lip gloss, and exited the loo, joining everyone else at the bar.

Mom was busy texting and having her Sherry, Dad was definitely having an extra large peg of Old Monk (him and his Patiala Pegs!) and Harman was sipping his same old Scotch on the rocks. Looks like my sister got the permission too, she held a can of Corona.

'What would you like?' Harman asked me in his honey-velvety voice.

'Sparkling wine,' I smirked at him and his eyes widened as he let out a chuckled. Everyone looked at us with confusion.

'What's so funny?' Surbhi asked me.

'Private joke,' I replied as Harman poured me a glass of Sula Seco. It was slightly sweet, crisp and delicious.

'So how's work?' Dad asked Harman as we all settled into our seats.

'Good, we are busy finalising a deal with Disney Studios.'

'I thought they stopped producing?' I asked him.

'Well they did, but they are one of the biggest studios in the world. We are convincing them that we'll make quality products which won't be just for money-making.'

'Right, look at the kind of films Disney produces. Even the Marvel films. Looks like Indians ne bahot loota hai unhe. And Disney Channel also sucks now.'

'True that!' Surbhi said. 'Disney was so cool when we were kids...High School Musical, Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place...ab pura din Doraemon! That UTV merger really ruined everything. Disney's meant for pre-teens and teens, not kids! What are we supposed to watch then?'

This is the first time she spoke sense. I could see Harman listening intently, absorbing every word. It was all very informative for him.

'Disney was re-making the American Life Action shows also. And those were terrible remakes. If you ever manage to convince them, please change the channel programming also,' I told him.

'I'll definitely do that...wow I had no idea it was this bad,'

'Well, we are Disney fans, giving you first hand information,' Surbhi said. I nodded in agreement. And during all this time, mom was still busy on her wretched phone. How shallow and self-centred could she be?!

The rest of the evening was all about discussing travel. Harman loved to travel and he had been to almost every destination in the world where I dreamed to go. He also listened to Surbhi, whether or not she spoke sense, and made her feel involved and important in every conversation. That melted my heart, my sister was always side-lined and for the first time I saw this happy smile on her face.

We proceeded for dinner on the dining table where we were served 'Poulet Saute Chausseur' (chicken) along with the side dish 'Bouquetiere de Legumes' (vegetables). It was really the best meal of my life. I noticed the staff was wearing the same uniform as the ones who were catering at my parents' house last week.

'Your father must've told you about me having invested in the Marriott Group of Hotels.'

'I did not know it was Marriott!' I gasped. Marriott was the biggest chain group of hotels in the WORLD!

'I do have some of the chefs come and cook for me when I have guests over. Occasionally if my friends require catering from five-star, I help them.'

'But is it allowed?' I asked him.

'No, not really...but I AM the boss, you know.' He winked at me. 'Come on, have a bite!'

'Its delicious,' I moaned slightly, tasting the brown sauce from the chicken. Harman's eyes darkened as he saw me lick the sauce off my bottom lip. Who knew such a simple thing could turn him on. And not just him, after seeing his eyes darkening, I squeezed my thighs together. He noticed that too, the bas***d and flashed me a panty-dropping smile. Note to self: carry extra panties when Harman Singh will be around.

'So Soumya,' I looked at Adonis incarnate. 'I heard you will be taking over your father's business.'

Dad laughed loudly making everyone on the table look at him. 'Oh that's just bullocks.'

'Uhh, yes sometime soo-' But dad started laughing again. How much had he drank? 'Dad, are you okay?'

'Yeah I am fine. You think a girl like you can run the business? Its all meant for boys, you know.' My father's words stung like anything.

'What do you mean?' I felt my hands shaking.

'Well, in front of the world we have to look like a progressive family who makes their children study and then work. But naah, I'll get you married as soon as possible and then my son-in-law will take over the business!'

What the actual f**k?! Tears welled in my eyes as I looked at my father.

'Surbhi is the younger one so I needn't focus on her. She can do whatever she wants with her life. But you were the older one so the perfect pawn for me. See you have a Degree to show to the world that you are educated. Now all you have to do is get married to a man of my choice who will work with me and then just get knocked up and produce a male heir!'

How dare he?! Was I a baby-making machine?! And all these years, he pushed me into doing what he wanted because he wanted to show the world how progressive' he was?! I was trembling badly. Never had I felt so betrayed in my life. I looked up at my mother and got all my answers. She knew everything. Hence the matchmaking, maintaining my skin and figure. She was just preparing me for this day.

'Maninder I don't know how much you have had to drink, but your attitude disgusts me,' I heard Harman say. Being from a city like Mumbai you have such a backward thinking? Even people from small towns and villages don't have such horrible mentality. You educated and groomed your daughter only to make her a show-piece, auction her off to the highest bidder so that she becomes his trophy wife? Really? You think thats how the world works? I knew you always regretted the fact that you did not have a boy but this is an all time low. I cannot believe I am friends with a person like you.'

'But I-'

'Cut the bullshit you d***head and get out of here.'

I felt hollow from the inside as we made our way to the elevator. I felt Harman's eyes on me the entire time but I could not look at him. Everything he said today in my defence made me realize that people like him existed too. Surbhi held my hand tightly as we stepped inside the lift. The uncomfortable silence was killing me. Dad was busy swaying while mom was trying to steady him. Surbhi took the car keys from dad, she would drive today. And I was trying to keep my shit together.

The drive was also silent. My mother was as usual busy in the phone while dad was fast asleep, snoring in the backseat. I asked Surbhi to drive me to my home first, I could not spend another night in a house where I was being trained to be a Trophy Wife.

When I entered my house, I was all alone. And thats when I broke down on the floor. All these years, who knew that everything was being done for Society?! I had never felt so used in my entire life. They say that your family is your biggest support, but what kind of support did I get from a family like this?! Only my sister understood me, but she was too innocent to understand what I was feeling right now. I had never felt so cheated. It was such a disgusting feeling.

And for the first time, I wished I would've been born in a regular middle class family. Sure I wouldn't have the money and the luxury, but atleast I would be happy and have a normal life!

I was so busy crying my eyes out that I did not notice the elevator had arrived yet again. And I had a guest.

Hearing the familiar ding, I stood up, ready to kick his ass if he was a robber or intruder.

The door opened. I relaxed from my defence position as I saw Adonis stand in front of me with a huge bag of goodies, 'Care for a late night talk?'

******************

Yeah so you met Nimmi in this chapter...pleasant woman isn't she? 😆

So Soumya got the biggest shock of her life.

And Harman kicked her father's ass.

I know there weren't too many HaYa moments but I want to focus on developing the story rather than just having hotness.

Next chapter's gonna be amazing, I promise! 😳

PS: I have my internship from DECEMBER which means I can't watch the show nor can I give regular updates. So I hope u won't abandon my story, rather please be encouraging!

Love to all!

PPS: The Disney and Marriott thing is all made up, but its true that Disney may stop producing and Marriott is the biggest group of hotels in the world.

Everyone's very different from what they are on the show!
Maninder is a disgusting man in this story.
And like I said, I want to develop the story and along with that give HaYa moments, or else it'll look very rushed!
