When Colors launched its show, Shakti- Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki based on transgender issues in our society, it was applauded for throwing light on a strong social cause. Intended for the mainstream TV audience, this show has been topping TRP charts since the beginning.

But unfortunately, buzz is that the show is digressing from its original theme. According to BollywoodLife, the lead character Soumya played by Rubina Dilaik, is not a kinnar after all. The report reveals that Soumya is not Nimmi's daughter and was exchanged at the time of her birth. The rest of the family thinks she is Nimmi's transgender child and ends up hating her, ignorant of the fact that she is a girl.

Now, the show will see the entry of Nimmi's transgender child, probably a male, who will take forward the original theme. The makers of the show also want to concentrate on Soumya and Harman's (Vivian Dsena) love story. Reportedly, they will also introduce a love triangle as Harman is now married to Soumya's sister, Surbhi.

Do you think this will keep the viewers hooked or the channel should stick to its original and unconventional theme?
