Who else loved Kusum Kothari, the voice of practicality in the show??

I watched the first episode with expectations from Rajshree's character, but was pleasantly surprised with Rajeshwari Sachdev's character, Kusum Kothari, who plays Preeti's samdhan and Juhi's MIL. 👏

She is has been amazingly portrayed and seems to be well written as well. She displays consideration for Preeti and subconsciously respects her as well, but tries to put up a facade of a typical groom's mom by acting stern with both her DIL Juhi and Preeti, by asking them to handle her tantrums.

Also her fangirling KT was cute as hell 🤣

Took me back to the memories of their Nach Baliye days where they had participated with their respective partners

The character may grow to be a semi-positive character who may object to many of the idealistic ways of Preeti and will frown upon or taunt Preeti n Juhi on many occasions, but may also grow to be someone very supportive and appreciative of Preeti's career eventually. She kinda reminded me of Neena Gupta's Manno Bhabi from Saat Phere as well

I am hoping someone makes an AT for her soon

I have a feeling that when push comes to a shove, she will be the only one standing by Preeti.

I loved how in Epi 2 she said, 'if it was me, I wudve never allowed someone else to take my credit (reg that event management team taking credit)'.

Also she seemed displeased abt the grihapravesh thing, where Preeti was pushed out.

I hope they keep her character strong. She is selfish but not evil. She also said "I have never demanded anything from you" but I want a pic with KT. So seems she is not the typical laalchi saas (as of now). She is jst shallow and wants to be placed on a pedestal.

I dont want her turned into a typical vamp saas enjoying Preeti's discomfort. I enjoy her character the most as of now. She is living her life to the fullest without harming anyone.

Kusum is a MAJOR FACTOR for me to watch!

She is ADORBS.

Excatly, she is the more pragmatic type. Doesn't believe in dowry but likes to be treated like the boy's parent once in a while because it is the norm of small towns there.

There might definitely be scope of her having a huge confrontation with Preeti, where she conks some sense into her head by comparing her son with her own, Juhi's husband (I keep forgetting his name) who respects both his own mother and MIL equally.

High time we saw a positive character who is not all sweet-sweet but really headstrong.

If he was dead, then Preeti wouldnt be wearing colourful clothes. She seems to traditional. But m glad they didnt dress her like a widow (in case her husband is dead).

As per Wikipedia and show description on other platforms, Preeti is a widow, and KT has problems in his marriage. Though she dresses up, it is simpler as compared to other married ladies like her aunt-MIL, with whom they video chat (Neelu Vaghela is uffff 🤗)

Kusum seems to be married, though it is not confirmed.

A lot of the cast of many daily soaps is shooting in isolation or small groups due to pandemic, hence they are showing many characters to be living away or using body doubles. They may get introduced when things improve.

She’s my fav character too ❤️

Kusum and KT are the only sane people in this show!

Getting hints now that Preeti will move in with Juhi's family once kicked out of her son's place, and Kusum will not like it.

Hoping that she doesn't turn into a cliche vamp
