I watched the first episode with expectations from Rajshree's character, but was pleasantly surprised with Rajeshwari Sachdev's character, Kusum Kothari, who plays Preeti's samdhan and Juhi's MIL. 👏

She is has been amazingly portrayed and seems to be well written as well. She displays consideration for Preeti and subconsciously respects her as well, but tries to put up a facade of a typical groom's mom by acting stern with both her DIL Juhi and Preeti, by asking them to handle her tantrums.

Also her fangirling KT was cute as hell 🤣

Took me back to the memories of their Nach Baliye days where they had participated with their respective partners

The character may grow to be a semi-positive character who may object to many of the idealistic ways of Preeti and will frown upon or taunt Preeti n Juhi on many occasions, but may also grow to be someone very supportive and appreciative of Preeti's career eventually. She kinda reminded me of Neena Gupta's Manno Bhabi from Saat Phere as well
