PART 41
And finally the day came...8th of December...The day Roli and Sid waited. Their wedding day...the day when they would be tied in the most pure relation and be each other's forever. Roli's and Jhanvi's friends were there in the house early morning to help them with the dressing and stuff. Since morning Sid had undergone more than dozen failed attempts to meet Roli. Of course, the reason for the failure was his beloved sister. She found a real fun in teasing her Bhaiyya for the expression when each of his plans failed gave her big delight. Finally without getting a new way for meeting his darling, Sid went to his room where his buddies and collogues helped with him to be ready in his wedding attire.
Back in the girls' room. Jhanvi got ready already and went to help Roli. Of course, she glowed in the golden lehenga and red blouse. The veil partially covered her hair and face but it increased her grace. She was shining in the ornaments selected by him. Jhanvi helped her with the her and also in arranging the ornaments. The girls shared some puppy moments.
As time passed the procession from Amar's side reached their home and Sid, obviously in the wedding attire welcomed them. All the functions and rituals got over in little time and the elderly ladies, either distant relatives or acquaintances took the opportunity to bring the brides down. In few minutes, Roli and Jhanvi descended the stairs all set in their beautiful wedding dresses. Sid had two types of emotions at the very moment. He was instantly lost seeing the girl who was going to enter his life and make it beautiful. Her glow attracted both his brain and heart. On the other side he felt he brotherly affection as he spotted Jhanvi in the wedding dress. All these years he had raise her, caring her, doing all what she need. He still remembered how he carried her in his arms as a child. And now she's grown, all set to married. Tears filled his eye unknowingly in his eyes and in Jhanvi's eyes as well. But they didn't exhibit their feelings. To divert his mind, Sid winked at Roli who was almost head down due to shyness. But she managed to see his gesture and blushed.. He smirked at her able to guess her feelings.
Jhanvi's and Amar's was the first marriage to occur. Roli did the ghanbandan and they took pheras. Sid almost had tears of happiness but he decide to do some fun to retard it.
Sid: Jhanvi, what's this yaar...It's your marriage...At least do the pheras with some due interest...Lazy on that too...
Everyone laughred and Amar too. Jhanvi looked at Sid and Amar closing both their mouths. The rituals completed as Amar filled vermillion in Jhanvi's forehead and tied mangalsutra round her neck. As the rituals got over, Jhanvi and Amar got down the stage. Jhanvi took blessings from Sid. Sid blessed her with all soul and hugged Amar. He asked him to keep his sister happy forever.
Now it was time for RoSid. Roli and Sid sat on the stage next to each other. Sid was gazing at Roli whilst Roli's heart was leaping in joy. Finally, she was going to get someone of her own with whom her heart would be kept safe and precious. Jhanvi did the ghatbandahn claiming it to be her right. The pandit chanted mantras and asked the pair to get ready for the pheras. As Roli and Sid stood up, Jhanvi decided to play final game of her teasing.
Jhanvi: Bhaiyya...You complained me that I'm lazy even with the pheras and now you too is going to do the same naa...Nothing special...
Sid smirked as he got his Sister's motive. He looked at Roli who was covered up in all emotions and don't know how to respond.
Sid: Of course not...Siddhant is always active...And whatever happening in Siddhant's life will be special.
Saying this he bent down and took Roli in his arms surprising Roli, Jhanvi as well all the guests. All smiled whilst Roli hold him by his neck for supported. She smiled and blushed as he looked straight in to her eyes. And there started their pheras. No one was leading or left behind there. They were moving together as they were supposed to do the whole life.. They were doing it passionately taking 7 oaths to be together for 7 lives or if possible in all lives. And the pheras completed. Though the7 pheras completed, Sid was too lost on Roli that he was about to take an eighth phera. Jhanvi understood 9it and involuntarily she laughed out loud making Sid came out of the trance. He understood what he was up to ansd bit his lps. Roli smile at him still in his arms.
Jhanvi: Bhaiyya...I agree you made your marriage special but it doesn't mean that you'll introduce a new phera?
Sid: Haan...Why not? It's also possible right?
Jhanvi: No use of speaking to you...
The pandit asked them to do the further rituals and Sid kept Roli on floor reluctantly. They sat back and now it was time for the most important ritual. The pandit handed over the vermillion box to Sid. He took a pinch of it and looked straight in to Roli's eyes. Her eyes reflected her waiting for it. Sid smiled at her and slightly moved her mang tika with his one hands. With the other hands he filled her hairline with the vermillion. Roli closed her eyes and a happy tear slipped from her eye. Sid smiled at her and he guests clapped. Pandit gave Sid the Mangalsutra and asked him to make Roli wear it. Sid took it from him and tied it rounds Roli's neck. Both their eyes met and they looked each other as if there is no tomorrow. But they came out of their worlds as the pandit declared them ass husbands and wife officially. Sid holds Roli's hands and they rose from the stage gaining complete right over each other.
