And yeah I guess the fault lies with both the direction as well as Jay's acting......this seems to be a consistent issue in SGP whenever they show Ishaan's scooter and his behavior concerning it....they go wayyyyyyyyyy OTT and always make me cringe....but this time toh HADH hi kar di

Yeah and this was after the really sweet scene between Ishaan and Suhana when he gives her the car keys. I was like finally a scene after a long time where you really liked and understood that Ishaan adores Suhana and is willing to do anything for her. And then bam, they come up with this OTT crap.

I also catch bits and pieces of OBS from time to time even though I don't understand Bengali at all but it's quite easy to understand what's happening in a scene....they use a lot of English words and some hindi sounding ones too.

Anyways, many times SGP does put it's own interpretation to a scene from OBS and change it for the better sometimes....like I liked the scene after Ishaan gifts that dress to Suhana....her reactions in SGP were different than the ones in OBS to some extent....

I really like SGP. However, I somehow feel that they have failed to capture the essence of OBS.. 😔

But what they've done with this scooter scene seriously put me off.....Ishaan looked MENTAL in that scene.
You know when I saw the scene.. I actually said out loud 'What a loser, has he gone mad' 😆

LOL now I wouldn't generalize also, LadyM....I do think Jay has done quite well many times....we shouldn't take that away from him....for e.g. I liked his acting in the jail scene when Suhana sleeps on his shoulder, going further back....the scene post the muh dikhaai, the scene when Suhana finally says to him that she won't leave the house....the guy has held his own and acted well.....so we can't say in general that Ishaan is only a wimpy loser who makes out with his scooter and talks to the teddy bear....those moments are the ones I dread no doubt but they aren't ALL that is there to him....I just wish the creatives realized that and stopped showing Ishaan as such an OTT mental-looking ghonchu

@Anu di-Well I guess there is a LOT of time..coz let it be TB articles or SBS segments..It actually is ON AIR after a MONTH..Remember the slap and scooter sequence???They showed so before..but aired later..😆So it would be better if they give a proper direction and start up to Sushaan's love stoy and then bring the new girl😊..And yeah..I guess half of these articles are written after watching the future episodes of OBS on YT...coz when they had a sequence on Zindagi Hai Suhana and even the Deepak entry wala scene..It was only indya.com(official web of SP)who broke the news and not TB😉

There's a difference in acting styles as well.....Ragini is just so much more bindaas while the actress playing Lolita works more on the childish naivete of Lolita.....Suhana is as good as a gunda sometimes....lol

The tracks are all the same but the equation is different....now if the new girl's entry in OBS worked to make Lolita "realize", can it work the same way for Suhana in SGP....I don't think so cuz they haven't built up IS in the same way that they built up IL in OBS.....so what will the new girl get us? Just a few random moments of jealousy from Suhana and then she'll disappear? How are we supposed to believe HOW Suhana's feelings for Ishaan have grown and HOW she falls for him...(IF she does at all, that is) unless we're supposed to be happy enough with the "love story" b/w Suhana and the rest of the family aur Ishaan toh hi side pe always available to stare at Suhana and imagine some more song sequences.

In some ways, I like the different flavor that SGP brings to the scenes from OBS....but now I too am wondering how they will develop the IS track with credibility.....IL were wayyyyyyy ahead in the development of their relationship by this point.....and it doesn't look like IS are going to get some new or different track to develop their relationship...so how are we expected to stomach Suhana falling in love with Ishaan when that development basis hasn't been laid properly?😕 What are the writers playing at here??
