A classy and a fitting tribute to a show once celebrated unbound love and its purity. A well-composed writeup illustrated with felicitous pictures that glorify the charming and poignant moments of SC. This post beautifully depicts the samud 'oneness'.
Our sensational leads lived their life as the idealistic and peerless saras and kumud during their journey of saraswathichandra. If not for these gorgeous and talented leads SC would have remained just a dream. They both complemented each other in every aspect and their sizzling screen presence, chemistry and their exquisite romance were the major USP of the show once. Both saras and kumud were characterised by unique and exemplary attributes and the actors too did full justice to them and brought them alive on screen.
The old version of SC was an awe-inspiring experience for the fans boasting poignant love story, offbeat execution, artistic masterpiece sets, brilliant photography and excellent ensemble cast. Ethereal music, flavour, sophistication associated with the show took it to a new level. The epic romance and intimacy of soulmates were captured in an aesthetic way. Be it the beautiful, lighter, breezy moments or emotional scenes between the leads all shone with SLB stamp.
Post kumud marriage it was a gripping emotional roller coaster ride. The best part of it was saraswathichandra's disguise as navinchandra. After that fateful night (when he broke his promise and relationship with kumud) he redeemed himself on every count and never left her side and fulfilled his duties as the man in her life. Whenever they tried to move away from each other destiny brought them together to strengthen them and to challenge them again. Their eternal love, heartache and tribulations were heartwarming and heartrending.
Eventually the inevitable happened and samud were united in wedlock. After that the story completely went awry with cliched approach, lack of creative imagination, illogical tracks, character butchery and fabricated drama. The two core aspects of the show the intense love saga and the impeccable jodi of samud were lost. Characters lost their prominence; good ones ousted; even kumud and saras characters were butchered. The unwarranted saraswathi's resurrection proved the creatives' limitation of writing, lack of intent and incongruity.
However in the last week the cvs got their act together. The samud moments were gratifying, intimate and poignant and brought back some pleasant memories of the past. The arrival of sanskrithi completes samud and it marks the beginning of a totally new phase in their life. This is the last lovely and a welcome challenge thrown by destiny on them and they would surely emerge as winners once again.
Thank you for this marvellous trip down the memory lane.
P.S - This seems the ultimate farewell thread and a lovable farewell gift to saras and kumud. If possible, please make it the official farewell thread. (People are missing one!).
