I've thought about saras/gr's appearance n can say that I saw many people who look fresh all the time in real life. They can never look dirty. Its just how they are. And defines their character. And saras looks pale when needed. Like in gau-hatya track and in kumud's marriage to Pramad track(initial days). I think the only time this looked out of place was when he was on the stretcher with some blood only on the pillow.

Santhi, I think in the case of an actor playing out different scenarios, it's a bit like Caesar's wife - not only do you have to play the part, but also look like you're playing the part, complete with relatable "messed-up" appearance when the situation calls for it... I think that is what lal04 is talking about...

That is what i am saying. Earlier, I too thought he always looks clean. But thought about it and looked back. He looked messy when he was devasted by guman's letter fiasco after karwa chauth. And in other instances when needed. But he is neat in general. And that is what making us think he doesn't look messed up. Like other male characters. They look the same 99% of the time. Danny sometimes has a stubble. And Kabir has too much hair. Saras doesn't have these. He looks brighter, fitter. That's just his character.I'm sorry I am unable to convey what I want to. But I have seen people like him.

That's the point, When he is playing a role, he has to look like the character would be expected to look - the norm not the exception - as in most people would look a bit off-colour if they had been hit up with a crowbar, so that would be the norm - although the exceptional person may still look like he stepped out of talc ad, like say, GR...😆
