Too good. Saras kai baat toot chuka hai. Can anyone understand his pov. Apart from dugbaa. I think dugbaa does more than kumud. Its a different world for people who lived on fringes. With no ummeed.

And writers lost it when they said vc can't express love. He is the most expressive dad for a village setting. Yeah not expressive as yatin ji:-)))

Shanthi-
I guess they were trying to say that he is less expressive than her mom...

Hgg ji,

Welcome back. I understand. But she can't generalize dad's love in Saras's case. Kumud's n saras cases r on either extreme. Kumud's dad is more expressive than mom( did u see how he hugged her even today). The very case from saras is that ln doesn't love him n disowned him. He came because kumud called. Other than that there is no gesture in the last many months.

Suddenly call his dad and tell him he loves you. When there is no evidence(actually there is some to the contrary) but gut feeling to bank on.

And she puts onus on saras. That he has to work to find that love. But for ln, he proved it already by flying from dubai. Too simplistic.

But her point about making mistakes n forgiving was very good and logical.

Yes agree wholeheartedly...
I recollect we both were aligned to this POV earlier too...Glad to see you have still not changed your mind. 😊

😆, still there Hgg on this issue

We make out Saraswati as a wronged martyr and paint LN with a black brush...But its a lot of grey..

What exactly did LN do...he had an affair!
And what was Saraswati's response...she killed herself in front of her son!!
Go figure...

Yes...In the above potent mix flits in Gumaan..

To LN...the single most attractive part about Gumaan would not have been her looks, her social graces etc...but her own burning ambition!...like kindered spirits...he would have seen someone who finally gets him..who is driven by the same desires he has of clawing his way to the top of the heap...

beautiful! see that's why you have to keep posting here

...and lets face it...leaving gumaan's devious nature aside...these two are compatible in all other ways..

To Saraswati...her greatest fear now comes true...her self-esteem is anyway scraping the bottom of the barrel...she is now convinced that LN has found someone better and is definitely going to leave her...

Add her small town sensibilities...LN's desertion or publicity of affair will destroy her world...it was a miniscule world Saraswati had ...her incompatible marriage...Take that away and she has nothing!...

She feels even more worthless now, more ashamed of herself ...balmes her shortcomings for LN straying...is in emotional shock as the cause of this 'sin' by her husband (small town sensibilities)...and sees no hope of regaining her life...

So she does the only thing she can...removes her 'worthless' self from LN's life and ends everyones misery..

As for dumping Dukhba at the altar, yes that was wrong

But somewhere I feel all these are connected and he was completely

under Guman's spell at that point in time, so couldn't go through the marriage

Refer my note above...Gumaan matched his fire in the belly...DB could never do that...she was a slightly more tougher version of Saraswati...but her attitudes and beliefs were still limited to RN

Maybe he also felt a sense of Deja Vu...Saraswati ReDux...Maybe he went so far ahead only because VC was his best friend and he could not summon the courage to say no when this was first proposed...

Anyway what's to say that he and Dukhba would have been happy together?

Marriage is a complex relationship, and rather than hold on to what wasn't

It's better to deal with what was

He wasn't a monster, more a weak selfish man who can't see beyond his needs

So a man to be despised, but not detested, surely

Now let's come to the real fact - he is Saras's father, their lives are entwined together

He is flesh and blood, and family ties are un breakable

The more you hold on to anger and grudges, and keep old wounds alive

The more the loneliness within keeps growing

Again I will iterate, while LN is not VC, he is no pramaad either

He seems to be more like budhidhidhan , who fell for a Guman and life became tragic thereafter

So Kumud's why - I understand

Her how - just call him at the mandap without consulting Saras - extremely stupid

Perfect!
But then she knows better...being a third party observer...😊

LN loves Saras..Saras loves LN...Saras loves her...Ergo she is the person who both these guys will acquiese to...Dono Ki Lagaam Iske Haat Mein Hai...and she knows whats good for both of them.😎

But in the context of recent episodes,

Instead of saying lagaam Kumud ke haath mein hai, it would be more apt to say that moti ab Kumud ke paas hai 😆
Had she waited to consult Saras..the option would have been shot down directly...then if she had invited LN it would have been a direct violation of Saras wish...This "Oh I am Sorry now " approach is more strategic!!

perfectly said as always , and anyway it's always easier to get forgiveness and harder to get permission and mrs saraswatichadra Vyas knows that only too well

Hgg, once again a super analysis, a great perspective from you.

After a long we had an epi that needed your insight and so glad that you are here doing just that!!

But is dukhbas approach right ?

She is still standing where LN left her.

Of course to be fair her marriage failed, but that's not LN's fault

She hates Guman and was always playing nasty games with her,

was extremely judgemental and harsh with Saras

accusing him of picking up Guman's sanskars

Isn't Kumud, who has learnt the art of forgiving and moving on, happier ?

Kumud could forgive even pramaad.

And parents and children - Santhi - it's a bond that is eternal,

Saras would always have that akelapan inside him till he too forgives and moves on.

You have to be large hearted where your own family is concerned and keep the ties strong.

Maybe LN is what he is because he did not find acceptability in RN

The man LN is not expressive, he feels love, guilt, but lives behind a wall always,

but he still loves Saras very much

The problem is the writers have not given us any insight

into how LN reacted and felt in the aftermath of their last quarrel.

But somehow, I feel Saras would never be complete if he doesn't make peace with his dad

And Kumud knows it, which is why she took this step

Hmm...Possibly true...I have seen only the last epi so could have missed the nuances..

Also wasn't it Saras who disowned LN during the fight after LN slapped him and moved out overnight saying I want nothing to do with your name, you are dead to me and all that?

And Saras grouse is that LN is Saraswati's murderer since she committed suicide due to his affair...Even thats too simplistic and a huge leap of inference...

And I guess she's telling him that LN's ready and reaching out...maybe he should too...because deep down he still loves LN...

Neways...I think this is building up to the next track...Maybe this will now morph into a Pavitra Rishta type of format...an all knowing DIL grappling with 'significant' life and death family issues of creating rapproachment between FIL & Husband (to begin with)...while evil MIL counters her chaals...😉

I also have a feeling that saraswati is not dead...She was preggie when she attempted suicide...was rescued by a kindly sheperd / priest / potter (any aam aadmi type)...loves LN still and has forgiven him for his Dhokha...and her son is the tattoo guy...who has recently come to know about his origins and is now out to have revenge on LN and Guman...is resentful of Bade Bhaiya Saras who got all the 'love' in Dubai while he tended goats in RN...and now has plans to destroy Daddy...and acquire Daddy's empire and gift it to Mommy...who has no clue what to do with it...save Naye Ghar Mein Pooja Ka Room decorations...etc etc...😉

Agree on each and every point you said. Especially agree on this forgiving part totally. The best solution.
Bold1: So True. There has to be closure.
bold2: How does Kumud know this before she called LN that LN loves Saras. Gut feeling?
Bold3: My point too
Regarding dugbaa, I meant she understands saras better. Because she shares that pain. She was wrong too at times.
Kumud is forgiving type. But she took her own time to forgive Saras(because she loved him). Even burnt his memories. All I am saying is that part of this is a simplistic approach to a complex issue.
And putting onus on Saras for no fault of his. LN is standing tall.

@bold: agree on both. but saras is the victim so gets some benefit of doubt.
Today LN said he disowned Saras. Earlier he said Saras is nothing without his name and challenged him to go to VC with out that surname.
REgarding future track, we all are guessing the same. Saraswati was pregnant and that man is his brother. (How I wish Saras had a sister.) My head spins at these tracks. They said he wants to take revenge against Guman. So while Guman traps saras and he has to go somewhere, Kumud delivers a baby(Gautam said this).
