True Arshi. As I said yesterday, am not liking Kumud's merciless disregard of Saras's feelings altogether. Though there is a 'sadistic' explanation...a vague picture yet not fully thought out...😕
-she is empathic, she is righteous and she is compassionate to almost all others- but 'One'!😭 As accommodative to known offenders like Pramad and Kalika that she forces herself to 'forgive'/defer..🤢...To her own, she is even more partial. Exhibit: Kusum.🤢🤢...so what makes her so insensitive to Saras? Only one explanation ( other than 'Cvs'😆) He is the one whom she considers part of her own!! Only one 'haq' she considers exercising without 'asking'! Like a stringent test she would not flinch undergo herself (remember Dukhba-Saras dialogue on her?!), she is extending same 'trial' on him as a right. Here lies the trouble. Though they stand integrated, he is very much a separate living entity with his own aspirations, compulsions and His own moral dilemma. This last part, she is not factoring in or even considering! That is her injustice to him.😡
Now on his part. Agreed, he does have valid moral dilemma...Arrey, Forget morals and propriety and all such gibberish. He has every right not to 'like' someone. To not succumb to Kumud's devious proposals and tactics- 'haq' or no haq. But why is he expecting only Kumud to convey his 'suffocation'. Why is he asking only her to forestall Kusum when he clearly knows her 'fix'?...further to this mess- Why is he even allowing a hypothetical 'haq' by Kusum that he needs to counter with a proclamation? That of his 'reserved' fidelity to a 'legally' engaged Kumud? Why should they need any such 'declaration' to a rank outsider third party? Sister or no sister, she is an outsider when case is 'they two'. In this scenario, why is he not telling her off straight away?... He expects Kumud to reject Pramad in no uncertain term. Why not same with Kusum? He is not even 'married'...Why all these; 'masoom', 'sambhal ke', 'her imagined haq on me' etc.? Dude, time for chivalry is gone. Some plain talk is In order IMO.
Of course, not until Cvs deem it fit 'enough milking'.😕..in this light, Arshi, was Kushi as much 'enabler' through her goodness initially? Or she rebuffed this third party straight away? I don't know anything about IPK.
@Bold.
Perfect smrth!
Ghar ki Murgi Dal Barabar...And it does happen in your closest relationships...if you are not careful enough...you love and know a person so well and so closely that you start taking this person for granted!... That's so ironical and counter-intuitive...but so true. 👏
As to why he doesn not confront?...
..I think he will eventually...but right now the entire infatuation and its implications are
only just starting to sink into him now..
...All this time kusum and her feelings were a sort of disembodied third person format..."she loves you" was a phrase only...and he felt getting her married to a person who really loves her will sort it out..
...the epi a few days back when he was on the receiving end of her attempts at physical intimacy were a horror for him too..
...ONLY NOW he's begun to realize how far gone is kusum, when she blatantly initiates such attempts...and crosses all moral red lines in the process...she's married to his brother so is a SIL and almost DIL coz Saras is the head of remaining Vyas family...and a saali coz Saras & Kumud are a couple...
... Being the Gentleman he is, he is course correcting the only way he can...with class... first of all by taking kumud in confidence and asking her to set things straight...since kumud has more haq over kusum due to her beind the elder sister...
...Unfortunately, another reason why I fear this crap will still continue...
I also feel this incest theme is a classic formula of the current writer...
I have not seen IPK...but from friends what I know is that this is the same mirror image...
In IPK the hero's sister's husband wanted to get intimate with the heroine... at that time the hero and heroine were attracted but not bound by marriage...and the heroine did not want to cause pain to the hero's sister who was married to the creep...her rebuff's increased in intensity but to no avail...finally in order to neutralize the creep's advances and to save the heroine, the hero finally and
publicly marries his heroine...whome he loved anyway but was too egoistic to admit!
... The stage has been set..with saras asking he will wait until kumud publicly declares she is his..
So we are on this path...but expect more perversion on the way...
Edit:
Arshi & other IPK fans could confirm if my understanding of IPK is true and is this a mirror image of the same formula being attempted..
