@smrth- So Manchatur did his bit in trying to get Saras Kumud together in the novel as well? Glad to know that.. Glad he overheard Saras Kumud conversation..I am desperately wishing to see someone who uses his brain in this mad house and takes decision rationally and wisely without getting influenced by the emotional drama of the family.. They are unnecessarily complicating matters.. as far as I know, Kumud is divorced now, isn't she? So why wouldn't anyone propose the idea of getting Kumud married to Saras..? How long can Saras be in that house as their unofficial son in law- cum helper? If they are worried about tongues wagging, then well ..there have been enough controversies in the family starting from Dukhba to Kumud and now Kusum..Atleast its less controversial than Kusum claiming to love her brother in law..!! Saras Kumud marriage should have been the obvious next step and it is also the need of the hour looking at Kusum's growing obsession and desperation these days... Hope dadaji takes charge of things and proposes the idea.. VC is too incompetant when it comes to right decision making..

Kusum has replaced infact left Pramad and Kalika far behind in being the ultimate undisputed villain in the show.. Should I call her delusional ?? I have my doubts when I see her with Danny.. She is being so normal with him..!! What does that indicate? She wants him to believe that she's giving a chance to them?? so he can relax and not suspect her intentions as she goes after Saras and sexually harass him? yes I will call that sexual harassment!!! She shows off her bare waist and kamarbandh, grabs his shoulder, gives a sick smile hoping to allure him into getting physically intimate her.?. It was desperate attempt of seduction by her and even when he said that love is not like a kamarbandh that can be given away, the bitch refused to come out of her trance! Desperately trying to look for signs of pleasure effect that her forced physical contact had on Saras??!!! He felt revolted and I am glad he finally spoke up..but clearly that wasn't enough.. I don't think anyone in the Desai family will confront Kusum on this issue since now she has started to cleverly mask her lusty intentions under a garb of fake content and happiness that people are misinterpreting as her ''moving on''.. But there is strong storm brewing slowly and steadily under the cover and its gonna blow everyone away soon.. This Kusum is not going to stop.. Marriage to Danny couldn't stop her..I don't know how Saras Kumud marriage can stop her..though that seems like one of the possible solutions.. She simply doesn't care for relationships.. and yes I couldn't understand Kumud's viewpoint.. I know its hard when it comes to your family.. No one would like to believe that ''mera apna sikka khota hai'' but well that is the case here.. this is not the time to sit, cry and sacrifice..Pushing Saras away and sacrificing seems like the only solution she can think of.. that won't work in this case.. Stake claim on Saras..like Saras has on her..

*P.S- Curious to see what dadaji does.. Nervous apprehensions about Kusum for tomorrow..

Vaishali,
Although I join the uproar regarding Kumud's 'mahanta' streak, I am more annoyed at her for not recognising; Saras's a) moral mortification, b) emotional suffocation and most important, c) denial of his life breathe- his love, which, he is pleading most among all three. For first two, 'reverse mirror', as we discussed, should open her eyes, but over third, she is almost merciless in warranting his 'death'. Unfortunately his 'life' is 'she' only. What a mess he is in!
On the other level, much as we want her not to waste herself on a worthless sister, she does have some shackles binding her feet. For her, she is almost a daughter adopted- as many time it happens with a strong elder sister... If she can not refuse even a known murder under the conscientious empathy- (even when misplaced, as seen from viewers' bird eye view)- how would she disentangle herself from a sister visibly messed. She can't 'abandon' her (sic wrong). Please know, I am not defending her abused empathy. Just analysing her. On the other hand, Saras is understanding this bind and he is trying to find out best possible solution. But here, as all of us are agog in condemning Kumud's misplaced 'empathy', why are we not asking Saras to confront Kusum one to one for once? Why 'masum Kusum' is permitted to him? Should he also not shout out the same outrage he is explaining to Kumud, to Kusum directly for once?
As for this particular scene, I understand character's most addle fluster and revulsion. To face an 'advance' from a dazed opposite sex, even while not encouraged in the least- rather clearly forbidden- is appalling. While women can easily shout out, for man, it's not as easy to browbeat the supposedly 'fair sex'. But when molested with a 'physical grab', it's down right repulsive, confusing and embarrassing to the hilt...🤢

Yes, Vaishali, he was most willing and conducive. For that matter, even VC was. Unfortunately, SC's one sentence to Kumud reversed the flow. That was GMT's worst failure- and consciously intended- in my opinion...any way, that plot is no longer applicable here...but come to it, in this plot, Guniyal is the one who knows their extended 'rights' as husband- wife. She ought to take charge. Unfortunately, she is a minor actor and not Ragini. By the way, Kumud is not divorced as yet, though free to be engaged perhaps. But still, Pramd's demise is the natural progression...

She is divorced officially. They mentioned it twice too. Kumud n kalika both mentioned it. But the legalities of 3 month period come into picture or it needs to be formalized.

Totally agree. Its not the mahaanta but overlooking saras's feelings that is the issue.

Regarding saras not talking to kusum, it's nonsense that it didn't happen yet. There lies the potential to stretch the track like a rubber band. He needs to give it back to her pronto. But he is holding back due to kumud? But either way saras not talking to kusum is nonsense.

You rightly pointed out how it must have felt for him when she was making those advances. Waise kumud asking saras to go away for some time is not a bad option. Or did she ask him ton go away forever.

In all this, she is bottling up and pushing all her emotions to saras to the deepest corner of her heart
And that's where I feel sad for her and sympathize with her. Not easy.

I loved today's show
at least kumud realized "ek chutki bhar sin door" ka keemath
and how possessive was saras with her, and she was so disappointed when he didn't fill her maang

and the evil kusum( who i love to hate) just adds so much to the drama.
shiny is doing a great job playing her so maniacally obsessed, and the poor innocent danny, i want kumari to come back and to comfort him.

and dadaji is so on a mission to get saras and kumud together
but i don't mind this tension at all. love the drama
awesome acting by all today. perfect show

and tomorrow is making me scared, we get such a nice precap so is the show going to be the opposite like today, where yesterday's precap was horrible but the show was excellent

Ok, I have missed quite a few episodes. Was it showed clearly? For last I saw Pramad, he handed over the 'agreement' signed- with clear intention to 'hang on'. Still, it comes under the force after a stipulated time , I suppose.

Well Arshi...

After reading your CB my first reaction was a facepalm like Capt Pritchard from Star Trek...

Then read smrth's post ...and then had to see it...

Here's what I think...

1) Kusum:
- Well at least she is consistent...

- She loved the idea of saras, then saras himself and is obviously physically attracted to him...or maybe it was the other way around...maybe was physically attracted and cloaked it under the so called love for the idea of saras (the misaligned Meerabai Id) because he was bethrothed to kumud...

- Maybe there is a healthy dose of sibling rivalry too...Kumud was always the chosen one, the preferred one, the capable one, the intelligent one...

- Living forever in the more popular kumud's shadow would cause resentment and yet only kumud could open doors for her, make her visible to the rest of the world..

- As the weaker of the two sisters, she instinctively knows the leverage which works with kumud...tap into her sense of sibling love and duty..

- Kumud being the more capable one and the elder one would freely dispense with what she had in abundance of / which she could easily get and pass it on to the less capable sister.

- Kumud being married to Pramad and then a 'free' Saras presents to Kusum for the first time ever an accessible prize desired by her elder sis - whom she loves but also resents equally - but which elder sister cannot get that easily now...

- In any case, whatever you choose to call this ...she is now fully delusional...and bordering on the psychotic...saras is a prize she has now claimed and she will not let go..

- So her upping the ante makes sense...If saras will not respond / pay attention, she will force him to...using the most basic and elementary desires she feels for him...the physical...

- I had mentioned long time back, that she has moved into the evil camp...

- Today was another tipping point...After today, I fully expect her to become unambiguously pig-headed in her desire to possess Saras...And she is smartly using the childhood tactic which has worked with Kumud earlier...refer the entire dialogue "(Kamarand) Tha...Par Ab Yeh Mera Hai..Kumud Didi Ne Khud Ise Mujhe Diya Hai... Mujhe Maangne Ki Zaroorat Bhi Nahin Padi"

- Today was maybe the creation of a new phycho villianess...SC always has 2...First there was Gumaan-Khoti Vaat, then Pramad- Kalika and now Kusum-Kalika.

- I dont see her reverting back to Danny...however much Saras - Kumud wish.

- Happy has correctly identified...she gone loco...phycho..playing double games with her family, danny, kumud and saras...but then she has played these games on a minor scale with kumud all her life...

2) Kumud

Here I beg to differ from the general consensus...I feel today it was different and a step forward for her

- Kumud being the more capable one and the elder one would freely dispense with what she had in abundance of / which she could easily get and pass it on to the less capable sister.

- In a way, this was a sub-conscious compensation mechanism by Kumud ...she knows shes the better one of the two...she feels guilty about it because she also loves kusum...and compensates for her guilt through a pass through of her belongings...and she doesnt have a cause for sibling rivalry

- Also being the elder sibling she naturally also carries the cross of having to be 'responsible' in everything she does...so the constant concern about family, others etc.

- Compounded by kusum's suicide attempts due to her wanting saras...at some level kumud's feeling responsible for this too and so the desire to correct it through a quick fix solution...This is the same instinctive approach she has used to make up to kusum earlier..

- In today's scene, when she sees saras - kusum collide she is physically shaken up...she is scared to see what is going to transgress...what kusum is attempting...so instead of moving forward she hides...

- On kusum's response on the kamarband, I feel she is finally starting to see her loss of saras, on what a blunder she has made...maybe on her own stupidity...and so the tears flow unabated...

- But maybe she has not yet stumbled upon the deceit of Kusum..

- She checks out kusum after saras has left...and decides she needs to do something about this...

- NOW...finally swallowing her ego, she meets Saras...her agenda is Kusum...

- On kamarband..."Dekha Maine"...

- She admits that nothing's changed..."Mujhe Laga Tha ki Danny Aur Kusum Ke Beech Ki doori Kam Ho Rahi Hai..."

- She is instinctively seeking the correct solution...

She defines the problem:
1) She says that when she sees 'love' for Saras in Kusum's eyes, its clear their approach is not working...

2) "Sach Tum Nahin Dekh Paa Rahe Ho...Woh Tumse Bahut Pyaar Karti Hai"..
...Here when she talks about kusum's love. we need to read it with the previous statement...She's not affirming what she thinks...I feel she's calling out the problem to Saras!

-At some stage love will manifest into physical intimacy...and she has seen kusum take this first dangerous step with Saras..despite being married to Danny...Danger ahead!...

- Mere Liye Bhi Pyar Ka Matlab Tyaag Hai..Par Kusum Ke Liye Nahin..
- Saras is still not getting it that kusum is crazily infatuated...stronger measures will be
required...just marrying them off and doing some havan / Dadaji illness will not work

- Her responsibility baggage rears its head again.."Mera Poora Parivar Takleef Mein Hain"..."Hum Kusum Ke Saath Yeh Anyay Nahin Kar Sakte"..."Hum Adhoore Hi Sahi..."

- Her "Pyar Kisi Se Aur Rishta Kisi Aur Se Nibha Rahi Hai" ..."Har Pal Ghut Rahi Hai" are probably directed towards her own plight too..

Then the solution:
- "Kusum ko Kaun Samjayega"

- Saras will have to erased from kusum's consciousness before kusum can move on to Danny...
- Saras will have to leave..."Hum Sab Ke Liye Yeh Acha Hoga"...she's crying when she's saying that...so its not ego or stupidity...she's hurting when she's suggesting this option...Pretty strong medicine...

- Her prognosis is bang on! ... As long as Saras is around...Kusum will not change even a slight bit!

- Her love, desire and afffection for Saras stand undiminished...maybe even stronger now...seeing how saras responded to Kusum's advances and perhaps realising for the first time the immense personal loss and regret she will live with if Saras is taken away from her...

- Ergo her acceptance of Saras solution in the fabulous scene which follows...Not a single peep out of Ms Kumudsundari the entire time!!

3) Saras
- Our dikra gives the solution to take him out of the equation in a more pleasant way...

- However, knowing the pathology of Kusum its not the optimum one...I would support Kumud's solution...He has to be out of sight to be out of mind of Kusum...once his position as an object which belonged to Kumud changes...Kusum's natural psychology will find it less attractive to possess...the neural desire pathways will weaken and she can hope to have some chance of a relationship with Danny...

- Absolutely absolutely loved saras dare to her...let go of your sense of responsibility towards family, danny, kusum, the world...let go...and just admit you want to be with me...and I will take care of the rest...I will answer for you!

- And the sindoor bath was classic...the acting, the dialogues, the direction and the BG Mangalam Vishnu (Thx Smrth!! would have missed this if not for your post)👏

At the very core primitive / animal level...he marked Kumud with his colors...she's his mate and he is her's...she knows it and he knows it...its done and nothing the world will do will ever change that...

At the emotional level...he's reafiirming his love...she has nothing to fear from Kusum...and holding a mirror to her on what's most important to them both

At the spiritual level...he filled the colors in the symbolic white chunni left with her so long ago with the divine red of spiritual union...he ready to fulfil his promise...So is she?

Next Steps
- So while the next dialogues were one of the best ever...this solution is actually going to mess this up more...Kusum will become more evil, desperate and bitter...with Kalika fanning the flames...

- so expect the next turn with Kusum fully evil and sworn enemy (maybe out in the open) of Kumud...

- This incestuous shit is raking in the TRPs...so expect Kusum to be turned more evil in order to test how far they can take her..

4) Danny

- Really feel for him...he's actually got the short end of the stick despite being the most innocent of the entire lot...

- And unless Kusum does a u- turn ...he's going to be in a limbo state...

5) Dadaji

- That's a great character... Hope he finds the solution...The rest of the Desai elders have been neutered anyway!

hot dog ji mostly i refrain to read ur post due to its long length but today i somehow managed to read whole and loved ur kumud part...coz u really explained her stand so logically ...even i felt those line pyaar kisi aur se aur rishta kisi aur se directed to herself...and it irked me coz by no meand i want any similarity between kumud and kusum but ironically this is...and saras answer to it brought back my breath...when he said she does have a chance coz danny loves her and will give her space...while with kumud it was total contrast ...she had prqmad who never gave her space but torture...in a way we r thankful to pramad ...as its coz of him we r able to hve our saras kumud back 😆
