When the lights went out, I was groaning ...thinking CVs will now show saras making out with kumud somewhat and then when lights come on he will see t was kusum...

Thankfully, it went off without that...They deserve credit for not mucking that up.

Actually like the emphasis on Dadaji character, Maanchaturji...remember smrth saying that in the source he was a fully etched out and good character... Nice to see Cvs trying to etch out some new characters in the narrative...

Kusum Danny- I think happy's post on shanas decoding kusum does give a way out and that will be

kusums self realization that she is chasing the wrong dream and that her reality is more beautiful for it

And I agree with you Kumud ka nakhra is all oopar oopar se, she is enjoying all the girna, haath

pakadna, all the flirting and attention she has been getting from dikra

But I still feel bad, he is so open with his feelings, but she is not giving him anything to go on.

After she begged him to go marry kusum, she has been chastising him for every small thing, and not

opening up about her feelings and how she sees their future together, now that the divorce has come

through.

Some pyaar and ikraar from Kumud also will be most welcome

Right now these two girls have the two hot guys running after them, soon I want to see ulta of that ,

kusum chasing Danny and Kumud chasing Saras

So true Arshi. A slightly more introspective Kumud would be good. In fact during her dialogue with Danny about unconditional love, I was waiting for her to acknowledge Saras's love for her. It didnt come. And after the week of giving us a feeling that she was melting and forgiving , the dialogue on the terrace about "maaf karna mushkil hai" actually came as a surprise.

Is it some kind of a balancing act by the CVs? Saras remained angry with Kumud, for a week, because she refused to divorce Pramad. So now its one week of Kumud remaining unforgiving !! !!
Hoping the precap is misleading as many think, and Kumud does join up with Dadaji and Saras to mend matters.

Ms 'I Just Do Things' was all set to follow Pramad around and get Saras married off to Kusum...so that she could wallow in the feel-good of high misery (a paradox!) ...by doing tremendous self-sacrifice of her love and a life together with saras in order to preserve her family honor and Psycho sisters life...

Her Love for Saras and the fact that they were supposed to be together was mercilessly pushed into the back-burner due to the so-called higher priorities above...

But Pramad gave her divorce and our Dikra nullified the Kusum threat...

So now she's suddenly got what she was chasing oh..so looonnnggg ago...possibility of marriage with saras...and she doesn't know how to deal with this!

And she's so addicted to the misery that as she goes cold turkey...she's still trying to clutch on to
remaining vestiges of the bad situation and bring misery back...she craves that...that gives her a high!

Methinks...before a couple of weeks are out..she will be rewarded...else story aage progress kaise karegi!

I think even the cvs, cruel as they often are, won't dare to go there.

And yes loved to see dadaji play some definite role in this story, he is now a far more endearing character than

his grim son, who I was quite in love with when Yatinji was portarying him as the OTT but very loving

and genial yet very sensible and wise VC.

In new hands VC I fear has received the worst character butchering -

a man who no longer rules the roost at home, no longer the lion who roared when his wife

dared to hide the truth from him, or when LN offered payback to him

This one lets his daughters make crazy decisions and his wife keep secrets from him and all he does

is Shake his head and mutter some inane wisdom.

Btw, what is your take on Kumud's high handed attitude towards Saras ? Isn't she being very non

committal about her stand on their relationship?

I have tried to answer this briefly in an earlier post on this CB Arshi..

But since you asked ...here's some more..

I guess the CVs will keep her character in this limbo state right till the end...until they decide they want to end it...

Since it seems they have decided from previous TVTs...that higher TVTs are due to samud separate and their travails...And will not risk samud together at this stage because then the show progresses fully into the domestic social domain and encounters further TVT based restrictions...with say Kumud as simpering DIl, Saras as a stupid clueless husband, No real villain a la paramad, kalika...maybe a 'domesticated' villain someone who wants to take over the 'croro ka business', epis focused on some cousins shaadi preps etc. etc...and there are a dime a dozen shows like that.

And Saras - Kumud is their whale...

So they have now etched out the Saras character fully and his position unambiguously...which cannot be deviated even slightly...he cannot be now shown as insensitive, stupid to not see through the villains, falling in love with anyone other than kumud, not supremely sacrificing, etc. etc.

If this is a fixed locus..then the only way is for Kumud to be ambiguous...this will be the character which will be made to jump through hoops ...reversing her position from one stage to the next of the story to keep it moving...

A fixed saras as he is now appeals to the current gen...and a Jai Mata Di like kumud with my family comes first appeals to the TVoT aunty crowd...And So the whale draws both segments in!

And making Kumud fully committed and etched out to their love as strongly as Saras is currently leaves out any scope of extending the story on the 'separate but still pursuing their dreams' track..

So feel sad that it has come to this...my fav character destroyed to a jello...but a flip-flop of kumud's position is now par for the course I guess...

Therefore...I do not attempt to think deeper into her motives...its anyway going to change in the next week...

Kyonki agar Saras kaa saath hogaa toh Kumud ki sazaa bohot aasaan ho jaayegi... Aur main nahi chaahtaa ke Saras usse tadpaaye... Kyonki Saras waisaa insaan hi nahi hai jo kisiko tadpaayegaa... Shaayad CVs ne ye track baad ke liye sambhaal kar rakhaa hai...

Aur Kusum ke baare me kyaa bolu... Pehle morpankh ko zelnaa pad rahaa thaa, ab kangan ko bhi zelo! 😔 Par saari me khoobsurat lag rahi thi, isiliye ussko zelnaa mere liye thodaa aasaan thaa!! 😛 lol

Of course kusum continues to be the tantrum queen and Kumud still holds on to the crown for the

miss high and mighty,

But Saras and dadaji were a delight and the all the fights over the suitcase, and the bucket and what

not were fun to watch, so great watch over the holiday week, coming back tired to the room at the end

of a long day spent sight seeing, the episodes matched my general mood, so I really enjoyed them

and really missed sharing them with you all
