Because as it is, it's very difficult to sympathise with kusum when she asks Kumud to go live with

pramaad or throws tantrums blaming Danny who is as much a victim of this as she is.

I think somewhere at a concept level the cvs wanted to show a helpless kusum, but ended up showing

a very selfish and petulant girl.

Agree with you on how she should be handled vis a vis how she is being handled.

But the irony of the situation of two sisters is to be seen, and it also shows the difference in their

character

Both were to be married to Saras

Last minute, both were ditched by Saras

Ended up married to the wrong guy

But that's where the similarity ends

While Kumud had the courage to deal with the situation,

Kusum completely broke apart, and refused to deal with reality

I guess that's what is strength of character all about

Arshi, welcome back...🤗

I disagree with a couple of things here... There is not too much similarity between their situations, or their "marriages".

Saras had proposed to Kumud "in front of the whole village" and declared his love. And Kumud had no doubts about his love for her.

Saras never proposed to Kusum or even said Yes to Kumud's plans. She simply took his shocked silence for consent! And Kusum (misled by Kumud) assumed Saras was going to marry her, although she knew exactly how he loves her sister.

Saras informed Kumud that he was ditching her (That phone call!) Kumud then "chose" to marry the faceless groom, that she knew was not Saras. She did this to save her family and in particular her father's face in society. Both the bride and the groom pretty much knew what they were doing.

Saras asked Danny to be the faceless groom, without telling him that Kusum thought she'd be marrying Saras, and that Kusum does not at all love him, Danny. Kusum married the faceless groom believing he was Saras. She did this for her own stupid, selfish reasons, knowing that she would definitely be ruining her sister's life, and Saras' as well! Neither the bride nor the groom knew what they were doing!!

Kumud and Kusum's different characters are thrown into contrast in the lead-up to marriage itself, not only in the aftermath! Danny is the real bakra here.

After all that, Kumud "knowingly" married a horror show, and dealt with it best as she could. And Kusum unknowingly married a man who loves her to bits, and then attempted suicide!!! Difference to kamaal ki hai...😛

The fact that kusums problems are self created is without doubt

And that she is completely self absorbed and obsessed in her infatuation for Saras is also true

But going by the sheer facts and not by the underlying events, the situation seems to be same, two brides both waiting for Saras who pulls the plug at the last minute.

But inspite of all this he comes across as the victim of the nautanki of the two sisters, and not the way around

Happy ji
U are so right. He never said yes. When kusum asked kumud if he agreed kumud said not yet but he will and he cares for you. There goes everything. Kusum was misled by over-zealous kumud there.

Kusum's case is full of assumptions, misunderstandings and everything that's wrong. First of all, she used and I dare to say the word used Danny to stop the marriage. And ofcourse she asked kumud too. She knew danny has some galat famj that she loves him. Also knew that he loves her. She didn't care!!!!!! Appaling right??. The guy says I love you and u use the same guy to stop your wedding and never bother to tell him the truth. Also the way she said to saras coldly in front of everyone that Danny has a mu and it will be cleared soon. She is pathetic.

I think she waiting for saras was because of kumud and herself building castles in the air. That is all.

If kusum tried to be like kumud she would have been so different. I love how all this turned in the face of CVS. They wanted to show something and now are forced to show something because they failed with kusum.

First they called it meera. Then they showed her cutting her veins. Then talked abt a counsellor. Even yesterday they showed her crying as if she is victim. How is she the victim. She started the process by calling the wedding off. She kept danny in the dark on two counts and still used him. That's all there is.

She cannot have Saras coz he is not a "thing" like Dugba said. For Kumud to ask Saras to marry Kusum is just plain vile!! He can't just chose another women to please Kumud?? Is HE not a person? Does he not have feelings? How can she be so selfish and dumb??

I think Kumud had lost her way as much as Kusum when she asked Saras to marry Kusum. Kusum herself is totally in La La land, thinking that if she married Saras, she will somehow get what Kumud has got from him. Unconditional love. Is Kusum not intelligent enough to realise that Saras can NEVER give her what she is looking for? It is more likely she will receive this love she seeks from Danny, but never in a million years from Saras. She knows he only has eyes for her sister and has been madly in love with her for ages! All he wants is to marry Kumud. Kusum was SO selfish and self obsessed that she actually wanted SAMUD to sacrifice their love, and have Saras marry HER instead! Never have I seen such a demonstration of selfishness. It is actually disturbing to watch!!

But you are right, Kusum tried to be Kumud and she failed totally! She never was and never can be Kumud!! She is made of completely different stuff!! Kusum is a pale shadow of Kumud! There is no comparison between the two!!

i wont comment much on kumud the duty doll with no heart and mind,Infact Kumus is a robot with only duty program feeded in it ,be it duty to her family or inlaws .So i haveno expectations from this lady . She hasbeen quit immune to love kinda thing till saras came in her life and gave everything of hers to him and got ditched .She cares for people but not for herself and is ready to sacrifice anything she has just to keep her family happy and content.

In hher spree to satisfy kumud who has D in her surname decided to sacrifice her most precious self Saras forgetting that Saras does say he is her part but is never ready to be sacrificed 😆

Anyways sorry for meandering away from topic which is kusum .agree with u she is selfish, well u do need to be selfish when u want something else u would never have it .But a selfishness that hurts and makes u fool in public is never a welcome thing.Thats why knowladgible say always stretch ur legs according to size of ur blanket and when did i ever say kusum and kumud r knowledble persons.Well the r d for Desais a dumb clan in making .

As for Kusum treatment ,well she will or say will have realise the reality of life as she has no options.Ans since she is being forced into a relationship ,may be she will accept it aftersome resistence but damage will be done. She will never be able to believe in people around and will slowly grow cynical and will end up being subconsciously a sophesticated Kalika .

thanks geetha.Btw it was really hard to be so unbaised with kusum as she always annoys me by her acts but then i decided to really deal with the girl as getting annoyed and hating is never a solution to things.

u need to decode the thing or person to find the real solution.

Arshi, Santhi... Yes, any similarities between Kumud and Kusum's lives are only superficial. If you scratch the surface, their positions are as divergent as their personalities.

While Kumud had/has a "real" relationship with Saras, the "parchai" has an imaginary relationship that exists only in her delusions. Kumud was actually ditched by Saras on the eve of their long-awaited wedding. Saras had made no promises to Kusum for her to feel ditched by him, except in her dreams.

By getting Kusum into obsession mode, and then making Kumud and the rest of the family indulge her as if she were healthy and her demands just borderline unreasonable, the writers have dug themselves into a hole. I still feel the only way out for Kusum is to die. Preferably in a way that does not cause Saras-Kumud to be squashed under the burden of guilt..🤢

if he really wants his brother merital life to be happy he should get the girl straight and tell her that he did for her good ...infact kusum would be treat at instant coz all that girl wants his attention and explanation from him...

...for her he is like some role model...like some professor in collage and she a student who just started admiring him and wants his attention.

in such cases it does not mean the professor will marry that girl infact such cases can be easily solved by talking and getting the girl know that she can always get help but nothing else ...we have several kusum like cases in our collage ...and i tell these girls can easily be treated with counselling .

actually the fault lay more in kumud who thinks appeasing every demand no matter how unreasonable is the solution to such a problem! it was bcoz of her great brainwave of donating off her boy friend that kusum's pagalpan increased...now toh she thinks saras is rightfully her's and literally fumes at kumud when she is tending to his hurt finger or in similar situations! U drew a great parallel for this incident by mentioning the naive college girl crushing on her professor (who is married more often than not)👏 yes the solution was counselling...lots and lots of it...along with a special session on kismat ka ishaara (where she needed to b told that tho she was the one to impersonate kumud in front of saras, he had recognized her to be false even without seeing the real One and metophorically said a NO to her then...and he continues to say a No even now! ) if kismat and waqt ka ishaara (her favourite logics) are to be believed as road signs on the track of lyf...then kumud and saras had many to show that they are destined to travel together. Guess the completely loopy girl needed that kismat-wala-counselling session badly instead of a family that pats the shoulder of an elder sister for donating off her fiancee

You've nailed it Indrani, (I hope I can call you that) , the problem was intensified when initially Gun and later Kumud gave credence to her feelings for Saras.

As a mother Guniyal and Kumud and all the Desais failed big time, by treating Saras and kamarband in the same manner as something that belongs to one and can be given at will to the other.

If from the very start she had been shown that it's Saras's feelings in this that matter, and that what she feels is fine, but she needs to deal with these feelings as they are and will always remain unreciprocated and also will jeopardize a lot of family dynamics, her paagalpan could have been stemmed.

But by making her feel that she was right in demanding Saras for herself, and that she had a claim on him, they only fanned her mania and now she's turned into this delusional creature who is getting worse by the day, even after her marriage

We cannot totally blame Kumud and Gun here,. They did try from their part to change Kusum. Honestly I will only Blame Kusum here and no body else. I cannot even look at her now a days. The only time Kumud gave in was when Kusums marriage with Mohan was called off. Till then she was trying to convince Kususm stating that it is not love.

I think happy, you have given the cvs a way out here, 😊.

That is self realization from kusum that what she is chasing is a parchai, and not the real thing.

And that she is building herself a home based on an illusion and not valuing the real thing that kismet has already granted her

It was her self delusion fanned by her family that has brought her to the brink of disaster and it will be her self realization supported by her family that can set things right.

How torturous will that process be, cvs ki marzi😕
