Didn't feel for kumud till the bidaai. She was reeling under her mahaanta. She was sad about what she lost but not for what was going to happen to Saras whose life she was crushing. Not once.

But once she was inside the haveli she could feel his presence at every instance. Did feel for her. How she cried over what was lost and how she felt the bond. Superlative acting by Jen.

Shat koti pranams to Desais. And Guniyal. Loved their sanskaars n their conviction earlier. But since the production House changed,they have become puppets and what not. Only Kumari was awake and realized danny didn't come.

Precap---- saras has figured out pramad if he hasn't before. Kumud ji ko saras ka fikr hai? Ya sirf kusum ki?

As much as I 'liked' Kusum to have the rude shock of her life by the faceless dulha trap, it did not seem logical and yet I felt it was the optimal decision under the scenario. Saras really understands that Kumud has been emotionally paralyzed by her sister's ugly melodramatics and what-not. The best decision should have been to talk to the dunderhead as a couple and explain that it's all her infatuation talking and take her to a counsellor. Since that's beyond the scope of a TRP driven melodrama...

Basically, this sleight of hand idea sucked for 3 reasons.

1.How's Saras sure that none of the Desais would suspect that the dulha is not him but Danny? What bugged me even more (ad nauseam alert) was Kumud not being able to make out that it was not Saras. Seriously, the CVs are tarnishing the much celebrated Samud soul connect by showing such illogical scenes for the sake of drama.

2. What's the guarantee that the deluded psycho would accept getting trapped and not attempt to walk out of marriage? Or worse, attempt to kill herself again?

3. In the ending scene monologue, he says Kusum would get all the happiness by having a loving husband like Danny. How will a marriage survive when there's very low scope of reciprocity from Kusum?

Here's where I think Danny came into play. He must have volunteered to go ahead with the mission despite points 1 and 2 being very unfavorable if carried out. He must have persuaded Saras that he'd take care of the entire situation and keep it under control. (It's unfortunate that he's going to fail) Why would Saras risk it knowing fully well that it's a touch and go decision? Apart from Danny's assurances, he simply can not look past Kumud. Kumud's concern is to get her sister a good groom which can be achieved through Danny. Kumud wants him to marry her sister citing her weakness(suicide attempt) as a reason. Here's where Saras is prioritizing himself as Kumud can not really be bothered to change her decision. But he knows he's doing this for the welfare of Kumud and himself in the long run.

So yeah, Saras is not an ideal man. He has his own set of flaws like any other human being. When what he feels is right, social niceties need to be broken/bent and sometimes, your dharma (preserving his love for Kumud) lies in achieving the ends, and the means are secondary.

(People who have actually made morally questionable decisions are the Desais. Starting from Kumud- going back to Pramad when in love with Saras. Kusum-enough said. Papa/momma Desai/Koti Khaki- Unfazed by the continued presence of Kalika/Pramad.)

And finally shout out to the awesome display of immaculate acting by Jennifer Winget, my second girl crush after Natalie Portman😳👏

- Suicide attempt is punching kumud below the belt...bloody selfish b#@&h has no consideration for her sister's emotions...her sistet's connect with me...how kumud will die too if I am not with her...how I will die if I am not with kumud...

- And suddenly stupid sis has started to play hard-ball...and kumud has been emotionally blackmailed into sacrifice...

- Like hell I will let that happen...Not Now...after all we have been through...told her the same a few epis back...but Ms Dimbulb has forgotten that..

- Kumud wants kusum out...but is too decent to call it out...or too much obligated by her crap to voice this out...

- So...I will answer for her...Always have...

- Two can play at this game...if stupid sis thinks I will leave kumud for her antics...shes got another thing coming...

- and in typical teacher fashion will give lot of gyan after she finds out...but am sure she will secretly be mighy relieved by my solution..

- now got to find Danny and ask him if hes ok with this plan..

My point being...what else can he do to break this stalemate due to kusum?

remember my post on the nature of evil...when kusum did the whole suicide thing in broad daylight so that kumud will notice, she switched sides to the dark side...

...hiding behind the facade of divine love (yuck)...when she started demanding saras...all her crappy reasons. ...he saw me first, your destiny is pramad...she was decidely evil...hitting a confused and shocked kumud with her biggest and most traumatic emotional experience to 'prove' her 'rights' over saras...then using danny to create mischief...

... and she almost succeeded with the whole pannaben incident and kumud succumbing...

...so there should be no pity for her...she deserved it...

...and the whole desai khandaan was mute spectator to kusum and her games...

...the only sacrificial lamb in all this was saras...and if the lamb turned the tables what's wrong it?...the alternative choice was to roll over and die..

...considering the krishna metaphor...saras was probably economical with the entire truth...but his objective and intent is in the right place...

I am also strongly hoping he has aligned danny ...thats all that is needed...

In this the rest of the Desais including DB can go take a walk...none of them was batting for him or kumud anyway...despite their facade of helplessness and anger and disgust at kusum's antics...

As for Kumud...she will be relieved he did something she could not or would not do bound by all thebobligations of family and her past...
