Shrija!
Honest appraisal where it is due.👏 Seeing so much character specific rant against her character in entire forum, its refreshing to see such honest clap.👍🏼 Especially knowing how you too loathe (and justifiably so) Kumud's shenanigans. 😲 For me, today was JW all the way. 👏

First of all superb bytes Arshiji.!!!!.

You all have said almost everything on this topic today but could not resist my 2 cents. Impressive discussion especially from twilla, shana, hotdog and tryforceful( may I call you shrija) ,pasumarthisa, KK, and OSJ. I agree to all of youthat what Saras did was right in these circumstances. He behaved like lord Krishna instead of lord Rama, that is the only difference. He was thinking what is best for everyone and which wrong doing is better since he had no way out to do nothing.

Even krishna Bhagwan did so many double meaning fights, wordings etc on multiple occasions, it is all described in Mahabharata and book called--"sukhsagar". No one says what krishna did is wrong because he did it for ultimate good and sometimes even lied in double meaning.

I still feel that by this incident, Saras character is not yet butchered by CV's unlike others.
Of course stupendous acting by Jenny that I cried with her but still felt Kumud was still wrong for taking this decision.

Do not even want to say a word about that psycho, disgusting piece in this story.

both saras and kumud are highly imperfect and flawed. Nothing in this story is black and white.

Thats what keeps us hooked on to it

Saras really understands that Kumud has been emotionally paralyzed by her sister's ugly melodramatics and what-not. The best decision should have been to talk to the dunderhead as a couple and explain that it's all her infatuation talking and take her to a counsellor. Since that's beyond the scope of a TRP driven melodrama...

Basically, this sleight of hand idea sucked for 3 reasons.

Here's where I think Danny came into play. He must have volunteered to go ahead with the mission despite points 1 and 2 being very unfavorable if carried out. He must have persuaded Saras that he'd take care of the entire situation and keep it under control. (It's unfortunate that he's going to fail) Why would Saras risk it knowing fully well that it's a touch and go decision?

@Bold1
- considering this is a TRP / Twilight Zone drama...I feel the CVs will want to try to keep samud separate by various means...

- What this proved hopefully is that they will not cross the Rubicon of getting both married off to someone else...in TRP universe that's a sure shot point of no return...one person married off can still be retrieved, but both...impossible.

- Ergo I feel that this cause with kusum has probable run its course for now...

@Bold 2
- considering this is a TRP/Twilight Zone drama...the CVs are probably exploring a new track here...as in so many such serials...there is a marriage, but party1 of this couple loves party2...but party2 loves a party3...through tortuous travails eventually party2 starts loving party1...

- So I expect to see this start out as a parallet track...

- Kusum has served her primary purpose of creating tension in samud land...now as a reward they may give her her own track with danny..

What about all the promises he made to her? To Dugbaa? To VC? how can he break that again? wouldn't that have been wrong as well? and what about the wrong he would do to Danny? That's a much bigger wrong so next to all these wrongs..this makes it right.

agree with you whole heartedly...in life we hardly get choices where 1 is right and the other is wrong...we have to chose the lesser of the 2 evils

You think Kusum track is over? As in her divine love for her jijaji?

I thought Pramad and Kalika had served their purpose too when Kumud returned to RN. 😕 But they are still here to add logic ki vaat twists and cheapen the whole viewing experience.

I had applauded her yesterday...
This Kumud's is an unrecognisable spectre devoid of sense or sensibility. She is wrong. And writers are massacring her beyond recognition. Don't know how they will redeem her, if ever they can or would. Only solace, even she won't be able to erase a heavily blurred and charred image of that beauty, her love for him, which has been kindled in her by Almighty through dreamspace. That is beyond her own power of self destruction.
That said, I want to acknowledge one fact. With Kusum's official marriage to Danny, or rather her non- marriage to Saras, the story has been emancipated it from a curse that was bestowed on it by its creator. There are several points of debate here. But with this courageous adaption they have undone a huge artifice in my opinion. Also, With this end game, in very middle, they have exhausted last connection with the source. From now on, it's a free wheeling story, developing on its own momentum. Adios to a masterpiece, though discarded much earlier in spirit and intent...

Just read the WU. Understanding Kumud is same as understanding TRP driven drama. This 'responsibility' track is totally wrong.
And, Saras kept Danny in the dark about Kusum's feelings.
I'm glad that the umbilical cord is severed to a large extent. From now on we dont have to put that classic and this show on the same plane and lament.
But, there still is Pramad and how he is dealt with. Right now, he is the uncrowned king. If Pramad is getting trps like everyone including Jen say and Kumud's tears are getting TRPs(like Jen said in another interview) then they should continue it forever. We can excuse ourselves.
