Welcome back Hgg,
Nice to read your and nandy's post after a long time.

True. Logically looking at it there were too many disconnects. But the emotional impact of Samud reunion was so high and the episode in itself was such a complete package that it was really thrilling.

Baki we have to watch this with lowered expectations, and take it a day at a time,

hi arshi, watched friday's episode after reading ur analysis, liked the last part where they played the same old beautiful bg song that used to take our breadth away everytime it was played on these two, brought back some old memories of the show..i will watch next week episodes to see these two together, i hope the scenes r executed well!

Thank U for the CB arshi :)

Loved it

I am in samud heaven right now.

Alak character is turning out to be a positive one and not just a feel good politician types.I want her to stand for Kumud

Will give BD a benefit of doubt .SD is a blind mother of a monster called Pramad.

Saras Oh my boy .U r one of he most consistent character all through , right since u decided to repent and see today u had ur lady love in ur arms :)

Kumud the confused soul, at last did realise that her saras was always right

Am waiting for that white chunni to be coloured

Lot of things in the episode were patchy and filmy. Like Saras easily knocking Pramad and bolted door in just one punch. And many more.
But there was an enormity of the moment when he wraps her with a blanket and that enormity was very well created. For once and for a change this was not a moment where the two were together and discussing sweet nothings or they were explaining each other what went wrong(like the day Saras tells Kumud everything). This scene had urgency built in. Saras had to rescue her. And before that she wants to slip in the apology. Its not just about love always. This scene was about Saras n Kumud showing respect to each other and showing how much they mean to each other. The intensity was in the moment.
I wish we get many other such moments where their feelings of respect for each other are shown. Not just eye-locks and touches.

Came back today from vacation and one of the first things I did was check out the epi...

Halleluah!...someone agrees with me...I too did not feel the intensity of the connect...read somewhere that smrth too felt the same...So I guess to each his own!

I felt the CVs have rushed this through...so many things happening in 20 mins:.
- Alak finally picking her side with Kumud...(very faint throwback to the novel where Alakkumari in BD was Kumud's true friend with empathy at her plight)

- Pramad_Kalika games

- Pramad trying to woo Kumud

- Pramad exasperation

- Pramad trying to kill Kumud...This was the most illogical scene of the whole epi!...
1) Off hand I can think of at least 5 different ways he could have killed kumud cleanly & neatly...dunno why he had to do it in such a messy way...what happened to the small knife he had shown Kalika in the previous epi!!
2) Read in some WU that he had wanted Kalika to find out some stuff of Saras and plant it in the room...when did he plant it?
3) If it was not planted...then the whole assumption of saras coming back to kill Kumud is heresay without any evidence...What was he thinking?
4) He got away cleanly without Saras seeing him leave with Kumud (in epi beginning)...no one knows where he's gone...not even Alak...Then why the hell did he have to send Kalika back and try to route him to some other address!!!!!!!! THIS is the raison d'etre of saras being able to find Kumud...Why did he have to do that ?????
5) Saras did not look even slightly threatening when with Kalika...when he should have been shown in a position which scares the shit out of Kalika and forces her to give him the correct address...
6) When Saras punches him the first time...the door just falls off!!...Even Kumud could have done that and walked away free!!

- Kumud selfrealization

- Saras_Pramad fist fight

- Saras_Kumud seeking forgiveness / giving forgiveness

- Saras_Kumud rescue itself

The direction was too rushed

- Again the CVs succumbed to the easy way out...Om Shanti Om scene copy...What man!!...they are not even imaginative enough to come up with a decent murder attempt!!!... Or just plain lazy most likely!!... How can candles cause such a roaring flame?

Methinks...the CVs completed their TVT exercises and realized that they have milked the current level of TVTs for all its is worth from all the rona-dhona ...and the next level will come from the Samud story getting resurrected!

So in the same way they had massacred the original story for the current track in double quick time, they will now swing the pendulum the other way equally quick!...

...Expect them to now show Samud in love but now seperated by society & samaj

Sadly, the expectations / bar had been set so low that we feel gratified just by seeing Samud together...

Where is the emotional kick of elation and relief duly supported by the build-up?... Unfortunately, I couldn't find it...

It was not even a seeti-maro scenario...Typically even seeti-maro scenarios are either so OTT that they cause that reaction all the time ...Or they are usually built on a great emotional build-up ...such that when the pieces fall to what you as the viewer desire it causes the said reaction...
this was neither...sort of half-way from both approaches..

So net-net...good that from saras & kumud perspective one chapter is now closed ... Mr. Ehsaas is back!...

As for me... will wait for the next CB resurrection to start watching again...

Hgg ji,

You raise some very valid points. I'd like to share my PoV.
Arshiji makes a very good point, the man is so effin' rotten that he couldn't maintain his goody act for too long. His raging temper evoked by K's restraint probably made him to set the fire prematurely, and proclaim his victory in front of a shell shocked Kumud. I can't speculate as to why he sent Kalika to misinform Saras but I am convinced that arson is the only way to thoroughly wipe out any evidence against him, if he'd already taken care of his alibi. Fire destroys DNA evidence/fingerprints making it hard for forensics people to convict anyone convincingly leading the law enforcement to conduct fruitless interviews of family and friends. Even if none of them get caught, it's a win-win for P. (Well played a-hole)

You're so right, our expectation level has been reset to the bare minimum that I get 'em kicks when I see Samud happy together in one frame. (Gosh! That's the cheesiest thing I've said on the internet😳). Honestly the rescue cum apology scene worked for me after reading Ivy's phoenix analogy. Like you said, the makers probably don't deserve this much adulation and "The show itself would have been so much poorer if not for this post!"😊

Saw the Epi again...

@ Bold1
Exactly...Did it convey urgency of rescue after he entered or just stopped at love?

What did not feel real was the whole BG score and both just standing there in the middle of the fire...with Saras holding a draped Kumud and the BG going on...for 1.5 full minutes...that's 8% of the entire episode.šŸ˜‰

@ Bold2
Isn't that entire BG scene a version of a typical eye-lock with kumud in saras arms, with the difference that kumud is crying now and faints later?

šŸ˜›

Neways...I still feel it was rushed through...when the CVs could have split this in 2 epis and made the turning point more impactful and meaningful in all respects - visually, logically and emotionally...But I guess they wanted to close this out on a Fri...in order to boost TVTs for the week.

A pity because they had a fantastic chance for redemption of all their accumulated brickbats and yet they blew it...All of us (old and new viewers) were so looking forward to this pivotal point in the story...this is almost a Sundargiri event!...but it came up short for me personally.

But that moment is gone now...we will be again left with the story progressing on TVT related tracks from this week...if you go as per the spoilers at least...

16 pages of CB, wow. Looks like all have been busy in Samud land. I haven't read any posts yet. Have been busy with the last days of Navrathri and didn't get time at all. Apart from all logic ki vaat, the only thing which I could get out if this episode was the completion of a circle. Kumud standing in midst of the fire apologising to Saras for disbelieving him and then when she sees him she calls out for him. Without hesitation he too jumps in and has fire caught in his back. She helps him from not getting burnt and then she gets breathless but he is there to hold her. It has always been this two way process between them and today standing in midst of the fire they completed the circle, being there for each other without any questions. The other thing which came to my mind was he crossed Pramad lying on the floor holding Kumud in his hands. When someone crosses like this, it is not good for the person on the floor. It may be my thought but since the CV's showed it explicitly I was thinking maybe Pramad's end is near or something bad is going to happen to him.
I don't know what CV's are planning but the speed of the episodes does make me think maybe the SBB news is true. We might be seeing SC end soon. Arshi, sorry no poetry from me today. I actually have to check out the episode properly, been rushing around.

Before the BG score started his back caught fire and her hand got burnt. After they secured themselves a little they realize the are so close to each other physically. I agree their scene was long. But was carried off well.

Agree with arshi here :-))
