Wow that's right. Ravan dahan it was. And like triumph of truth n good over lies n evil.

Then diwali marks bhagwan ram returning with sita ji. Kuch Aisa hona chaahiye. Pleaseee.

I somehow think thats how it was intended to be. At dusshera - the triumph of good over evil. So I feel reasonably sure, after yesterday, that Diwali, will mean Ram and Sita will be together. !!

So the vanvas of Ram will be over by Diwali? We can look forward to home coming then.

Btw, karvachauth is on the 22nd, the real one!

That was the scene of the day for me. And Saras not only understood. He could not bear it seeing her like that. He had to turn away in tears. Such understanding n empathy.

Both actors did great. It was one of the best Saras-kumud scenes.

arshics: beautiful post, as usual. Here is my two cents.
In the episode where Pramad and Kumud started from BD's house, Kumud took the ONLY thing that TRULY belonged to her in that house. NOT the property papers, nor jewelry or anything else. But that white chunni that is still the bond between her and Saras. It is symbol of the promise for her. The scene were she erases the smiley from her hand, it left a sad feeling. It was as if she was only trying to erase his memories from the surface. But then it brought back the scene in my mind, where she says to Saras that U are within me. Tumari chabi mere Saason mein basti hain...so one can try to forget yaadein, but how can one forget to take Sanseein. So, here is my take on that scene with the white chunni- w.o Saras, her life was w.o any meaning or color. It was lifeless. She tried as much as she cld to be a good bahu and wife, but her life was still colorless. She was acting out of duty, like a robot, but when she walked OUT of that house today, she was holding onto her life( literally and figuratively), when she was clucthing ON to that white chunni,

AGNI Sakshi

Now to the scene of Fire. While I am totally against DV, here is my perspective on that scene.

When it was time for their marriage, When she was waiting for her with full of life and color in her shaadi ka Joda, Saras could not come in time, while she was in front of Agni, othe Mandap, that scene of fire witnessed their physical separation as the lovers.

Then came the next scene of fire, where they met as strangers. This is the First time they face each other after her so called marriage. The hurt, the pain, the broken promise all came flashing back on their face, as they were across from each other and Havana hundred with Agni separating them.

Then as if Saras had to cross the fire and do Praschit, he walked on that coal of fire, symbolizing not only of his Praschit but also symbolizing that he is ready to cross any impending danger to save Kumud. He practically jumped into that Agni and saved Kumud. Today the Havan kund Agni that separated them, and made them strangers, today that engulfing Agni brought back them together. Today, she was surrounded by Agni, but finally Saras broke that distance and jumped into that Agni and literally all shackles from Pramad were finally broken and the two strangers who were across from each other with Agni separating them, today that same Agni was sakshi to them being together as ONE. Agni that separated them was today witnessing their Pavitr Milan. That scene was very poignant for me, symbolizing the complete circle of their life. Her life was back.

I will stop here, but would be glad to hear your thoughts.

Excellent excellent excellent correlation, and so true, now we know why it had to be Agni, because he made her wait once when they had to take pheras across the Agni, and she who so easily lost her trust and took pheras with another across the same Agni,

Today, burned, singed and cleansed by the same Agni they are united

And just like gold becomes purer and brighter when put into fire, so is their love.

An that's why even their first meeting post wedding was across the Agni, thank you for this perspective, it is brilliant.

Odhni, I still feel was a subconscious act, and not a conscious decision. She didn't realize that she had it with her, but you are right that for her it is the only belonging that is hers alone, and that's why she may have picked up, as the last remanent of her past, and then pramaad rushed her and the odhni just stayed in her hand .

Thanks Arshiji. True, that line of sona and fire was came to my mind too. Odni, I agree was subconscious act, but w.o realizing she walked out of the house forever just taking the only thing belonging to her, sorry for typos, I am writing using iPhone. You write so well. After posting my post, I went back and read everyone' post. It is nice to see everyone in such happy mood. Btw, I want to applaud your gesture - posting IVY' s post. I completely agree it is brilliant. Hats off to the writer. Excellent choice of words and very apt description. But at the same time hats off to you too for not only realizing the worth of the content, but going beyond to give the merit it deserves. Thanks.

This is the most beautiful interpretation I have read so far, L.i.D. !! Thanks ever so much...šŸ¤—
Love the way you correlated it with the agni of the shaadi (separation of Samud as lovers), the havan (meeting again as "strangers across the fire"), and now the punar-milan (who dares separate them now?)

TBH, while I am happy-happy about the Samud-milan as anyone else, the execution ws not on the same level as either the shaadi sequence or the havan scenes (both of which moved me to tears)
I tried re-watching the rescue scene but it still felt quite "cold"...😲 Was it with with the eyeline match or actor fatigue or just poor editing? I didnt feel the intensity, or maybe practical me was just not into seeing the intensity when I'd rather they got out of danger asap instead of having mute conversations..

Dont want to sound churlish, Am truly Grateful that the story has taken this turn!!šŸ˜› It's just that I can imagine the earlier team wd have turned out something exquisite... Divine, even...😳
