Dont know why I dont feel sad about the thappad. Because I feel Saras can take it in his stride and wont care that much? And he knows that she doesnt know the reality(by that time he would have known Pramad's conspiracy with Kalika) so he might forgive and forget.

Kumud saying, 'Ye Khushiyon ko meri hi nazar na lag jaaye' is still coming to my thought. She is able to feel the khushi now.

My question is, is this the only way for Kumud to get closer to Saras. By falling and then realizing?

Both you have actually touched upon.

First is the treatment - the original source connect is lost, but even with that had they shown a Saras trying to convince a conflicted Kumud about her husbands duplicity, there is so much scope for good drama.

But yeh melodrama, yeh thappad, yeh Kumud ki pramaad Bhakti is very unconvincing.

Second is the relationship between Saras and Kumud themselves, they have come such a long way, walked through fire literally, so a thappad drama also doesn't gel well here. Esp so soon after the man got his shradh done. Again cvs seem to be opting for cheap drama instead of an emotional drama.

Rahi baat " ye khushiyon ko Meri nazar ... " it was such a misplaced dialogue. In just a couple of pramaad sudhar days, with the sword of Navin aka Saras truth hanging, the dialogue makes no sense. Poor writing, here.

Also, in the chess scene, dukhba wants VC to give neg to damaad ji, as it is shashthi. Wasn't it the first Day of navratri? Why did she say shashthi? Any thoughts on that?

I fully agree that the thappad is misplaced even if we view from any angle. Coming on the back of Shraadh. Wonder how she is viewing his help at that point. She thinks its just interference?

And regarding the 'Shashthi' mention, I think its due to the SC calendar. I used to follow another serial and by now know that TV shows have their own calendar and it has no rule and rhyme. Take the earlier KArwa chauth scene.

but even in SC calendar the mataji ki moorti ki is yet to be brought. So it hasto be day1 of navratri.

wow annete that is a great post for all of us whose knowledge of navratri iz very sketchy.

so can we hope for end of asuras by dushehra?

hopefully unless Cvs decide to turn Pramaad into Ravana and Saras and Danny are banished sansSita maiya...mishmash i say even Ramayana will be rewrtten...😆

ab kya umeed kar saktey hai...shraat hogaya toh yeh thappad kya cheez hai...perhaps ek aur kasam dedi saras ne? 'tujhe meri kasam Kumud, tumhe mujhe thappad maarna parega!!'

I just want Saras to leave and go make something of his life to prove his dad that he was able to stand on his feet. Jab dad milenge and poochenge 'kya kiya tune after disowning me'...Saras bolega..'kuch khaas nahi...did some choogli at Kumud's sasural, got my shraath done and got a chaata from Kumud!!'

This is what they have reduced my poor Saras to.
