I wanted to ask in the Crisp-bytes thread. Where does that leave Saras. He has only one thing with him and that is his guilt about his mistake. What should he do. Immerse himself in social service(Saras of original was so passionate about social welfare). There is nothing else in his life now.
Still cant go beyond the Saras who was fluttered by Kumud and came to Ratnanagari. With that tilak on his forehead, face full of purity and innocence.

Very good question Santhi, for I just a few moments ago wrote in CB ( what telepathy), that the day Kumud forgives Saras, will be the day she must forget him.

And then he would need to leave BD house.

After that? Saras ki duvidha! But as of now the show hasn't given any pointers to it.

Arshi, I didnt get you. Should he wait there till she forgives? I dont think he is waiting for that now. Especially not staying in the house for that. She laid her path clearly. She will mend her marriage. He approves. I think Saras's duvidha starts now. She told him he is poking his nose. Time and again. Yesterday she gave him assurance that she is going to be courageous.
Why should he wait? Maybe to see her words translate to action? I think he needs to leave pronto. Each time her efforts fail, then she might go yo-yo again at him with anger n frustration(although I see she is thawing and communicating better).

Perfection yet again!!
100/10 for this post. 👏

Option 4 it is...makes sense as it is most aligned to novel and yet the Nayi Soch element is a spunky kumud who fights back.

If the show is not shutting down, methinks:
- pramad will still be a handful...and saras might stick around to support her ...the difference being he may now take cues from her and sort of work in the background...
- kalika will eventually find out about saras at some stage and her politics will start again
- the above two can be extended for quite some time
- kumud's forgiveness will be very gradual...just like the pace in which they fell in love..3 - 4 months...and in a way somehow in this process they will fall in love all over again...but this will a more pure, intense, transcending time and distance wala love...

(Note: SLB has to make paisa vasoli of the new set before he changes it for Act 3. This is another reason I believe that show will not shut down. Why will the makers spend money on a new set when Act 2 was anyway being shot in the temperory set? Fingers crossed still !!!)

- then it will follow the novel and eventually for to Act 3 - pramad out, saras & kumud again having the opportunity to come together..
- Final end - Only God & SLB knows.

So no quick forgiveness...saras will have to earn it back... bit by bit...
But he will stick around for sure since he's decided he is going to help her out, irrespective of what she thinks...he's ziddi that way too...but now he will not be so reckless..as he was earlier...
Also Act 3 requires that saras being present in BD household when the infidelity accusations are raised against kumud

If its is shutting down in Sep:
- The above in fast forward
- Final end again - Only God & SLB knows.

p.s.
arshi - hope this slight diversion and longish response is ok in this post...

I guess from the way the plot moves and the character of Kumud (proud, egoistic, adamant, self-sacrificing, etc.) she has already chosen the fourth way. Kumud wouldn't take any help from any one but with unflinching determination she will pursue to reform Pramad. Nonetheless Saras will take some step to alleviate her pain and get her prayers and efforts materialised.

Do you think she could do it on her own with all her determination? I think she would be dead the very next day (pillar fall) or by now. Having Saras around has been quite helpful.

Can we talk about the options Saras has irrespective of what act 3 requires. He is not waiting for her forgiveness. He respects her and is supportive of her decision. For him, forgiveness is not at all a primary concern. But her struggle is. And she told him to move away and assured that she will handle herself bravely.
He probably is going to hang around to see Kumud translate her words into reality. He should move away from her life soon in my opinion(not looking at what story requires). Desais will eventually come to know. She has a support system in them. For her, he never was a part of that support system but he tried to get in to that role.
Adiani rightly pointed out that if Dugbaa can walk away from a marriage after having a kid(that too a generation back.), why cannot Kumud. After all the problems are more severe here. There is infidelity and DV in Kumud's case. Dugbaa is leading a respectable life. Her marriage got called off once and then the second attempt failed(VC was actively involved in both the decisions). Kumud's case is similar. The difference is that Dugbaa helped VC by leaving her husband. And Kumud will not be helping her father, so she should stay back?
I am trying to explore the angle of social stigma. There is less social stigma now but I think Dugbaa's case is weighing heavily on Kumud's mind(subconsciouly). Daughter of the house coming back home for second time in 2 generations with a failed marriage is not easy for the Desai family. It kind of becomes a pattern and a curse. And has implications on her sisters' weddings too.
The responsibility Kumud is shouldering is unprecedented.
