And I like your POV, that PMS has removed any moral grounds for Saras and Kumud to not be together finally.

Anyway in those times widow remarriage was not socially accepted, so the ending was it was, both in the book and in the movie!

But having made the show contemporary in setting, wouldn't Kumud's refusal to be with Saras in the end be anyway not needed, PMS or not?

Arshi, original 'alert'. Don't start me.😆
Ok. In the book; Dhan Nandan, only step brother's name mentioned two three times. He never comes on pages. Gumaan had slyly averted SC's marriage proposals. But when she got her son engaged first, SC's Dadi went on rampage. Taunted LN for neglecting 'orphaned' son and secured better match for him- RN prime minister VC's Kumud...😃
Now a mild shock, Dhan Nandan dies ( not mentioned how). Gumaan turns genuinely motherly towards SC. She dotes on her step 'son' and his bride thereafter...😲
...but this is SLB tale.😆

I would think that even showing Kumud married to another man would be pretty disastrous. Could we hope for a separation without a Pramad? Wonder how they could make that work?

Every distancing between characters so far (VC-LN) and (Saras-Kumud, over the PMS) has been tempestuous, unconvincing and easily tided over in the next episode with the expert help of a)Dugba or b) Guniyal. If the CV's want to separate Saras-Kumud on a longer-term basis, after showing the width and depth of their connection, "it" would need to be in a completely different league.

Edited to say- re Sunny-Kusum, I feel the CV's are keeping these two hanging for lack of time-space. there're only so many strings they can play at a time.😆

Happy JI
Earlier I shared these impressions elsewhere- Kumud's marriage has not been a 'problem'. Only 'Kusum' who is. ( as a substitute bride, and not on her behest though). I fear her presence infinitely more ( sly, sly G.M.T.)😡
Reason is simple. Pramad was never into marriage...
And anything, this hapless marriage brings out unique compatibility of SC and Kumud as couple. Major part of the story happens there. So how would SLB avoid it? That wud be non ' Saraswatichandra' in total. In my opinion.

I completely agree with you, Mandy. Climax does not bother me, (in any case, it is highly improbable they will end on a sad note).
All the unintentional reading of about spoilers are ruining my viewing pleasure. Members are making topic headings with content of spoilers here. I am more for day to day journey and character development.
I am willing to ignore minor logic ki vaat here and there. Arey, ghar mien signals nahi hai, gao mien Jaao, signals dhundo, coin box dhundo. But Saras has lost his mind in love.hasn't he? Dugba is smarter anyway.

Please donot mention about major twists in the story spoilers in the coming weeks, without warning.

"Major part of the story happens there (and yes sadism in full force). So how would SLB avoid it? That wud be non ' Saraswatichandra' in total. In my opinion."

i completely agree with u, the actual story starts when kumud gets married to pramad, and that is when the real love of saras and kumud id put to test..now without this twist the story of the novel will be derailed and it will not be an adaptation..many people will not be able to digest the fact that the show is not following the actual story..i think if the separation track is well executed it will be a treat to watch..i in fact enjoyed saras kumud romance more when they had not seen each other..and now they will be separate physically but will live in each other's heart..muqammal mohabbat ki adhoori dastaan!

@all

We do not post spoilers here. What smrth has been sharing on our requests are glimpses from

The ofiginal work from GMT. these do not count asspoilers as we do not know whether SLB will

Go down that route or not. These discussions are for a better appreciation of the show as is and

Not as spoliers for the future tracks . So I dont think any editing from smrth is required.

All those posting spoilers can post them with alert spolier, or better still resist the temptation to post them here

No offence but this what I feel

Sorry Arshiji and Smrthji,

I did not particularly mean crispy bytes or Samarthji's post, meant the whole forum in itself.
I do enjoy Samarthji's analysis and contribution alot, without which I wouldn't have been able to enjoy the show as much as I do now. Apologies for offending Samarthji.

Sorry if it sounded rude. Didnt mean to . Just wanted to clarify that we too avoid spoliers and feel that they

Interfere with the enjoyment oc the show. I am with you on that
