What a journey it has been for our Saraswatichandra
Childhood -
Born in ratnanagri
The apple of his mother's eye
Yearning for the love of his father
Who was too busy ? to give time and attention to his only son
A happy childhood, carefree, full of fun
But it all ended in a terrible tragedy that he witnessed
No matter what the justification
I for one, will not forgive his mother for taking her life in front of his eyes
The least she could have done is shielded him from seeing it!
Adolescent
In Dubai
He seems to have blocked out the horrible tragedy
Probably a lonely life, unloved by a step mother
Who may have been outwardly affectionate,
But deliberately isolated him from his father and his roots
He found solace is spirituality and was probably a good student
Lucky to have a friend like sunny, who himself is an orphan
A lonely adolescence, when other boys were experiencing the
Joys of teen years, our dikra was probably a serious nerdy geeky teenager
Did he have a crush on a pretty girl, or he did not allow himself even that bitter sweet joy?
Youth
Completed his studies from Harvard
Is an astute businessman and is an able heir for his fathers business
Carries deep emotional scars
Believes himself incapable of loving and relationships
Has deep spiritual and moral strength
A lonely youth, outwardly successful and a man who has it all
Inwardly - dead.
Now -
He is back in ratnanagri
And a lot has happened here-
A letter written in haste
A challenge that lured him
A girl who tantalized him
An attraction he could not resist
A love he capitulated to
A fear he faced
Relationships he rediscovered
A father he found
And the euphoria of first love
The intensity of passion
The possessiveness and jealousy
Trust and friendship
In the last couple of months?
Our dikra has unlearned a lot
And learned a lot more
All thanks to a beautiful girl called Kumudsundari
Today Saras is the happiest he has ever been
He dreams of a future with his Kumud
And we cannot but hope the same for them
And yet , we wait in dread, with our fingers crossed!
