I agree completely, Arshi! I also like how his character is five dimensional. He's not weak, he's flawed... and we can see those flaws relate to his past. Very well written character, he is, and very well portrayed also. Of course, all credit goes to the entire team for being able to show us this Saras! 👏

Well said, he is five dimensional, and his behavior with Guman is so correct and proper but devoid of any emotion

You cannot find any fault with the respect and deference he shows to her, but you can actually feel the ice in his heart, when he talks to her

With Dugba, on the other hand, the affection is so heartwarming

With his father, the awkwardness and longing for approval and love is always seen

With Kumud, on the other hand, he has no pretenses - whatever he feels be it anger, jealousy, love, passion - he is open, and feels and shows it fully

It is a complex character and Gautam is doing full justice to it

One thousand and one times yes! Exactly! The way he acts with everyone is so different. He's so layered, it's so amazing! And indeed, Gautam Rode IS doing justice to Saras' role. No matter how well a writer pens out a character, no matter how well a director coordinates shots, no matter how handy the cameraman is with his recordings, if the actors cannot deliver, the whole show fails in result. Gautam Rode plays a HUGE role in depicting Saraswatichandra, and he's doing it SO WELL. Very, very talented man! 😊

I think that's what makes Saras so relatable. He's not linear, and he reacts differently to different situations. He acts so much like a regular person, but at the same time, he's so different because of his emotional scars. So not only do we look at Saras with sympathy, we also look at him with empathy because his actions, his feelings, his circumstances, his decisions are so relatable to us as an audience. To the simplest degree, if we strip the hero archetype Saras needs in order to maintain his protagonist role, he is so much an average joe everyone's able to relate to somehow. And I think that's what I love most about his character... he's the universal personification of heartache, of love, of devotion, of anger, of jealousy, of nobility, of spirituality... he has so many elements to him, that I think anyone can relate to him! What a guy! 😳

Thanks hotdogg, I am since the character of Saras is central to the story, we will have plenty to write about him!

Will try and take Kumud as next, but hers might have to be a character sketch, rather than a journey, for she is been actually the anchor for him.
