god & CVS...please give me one more happy week...phir main aur kuch nahin mangonga...and will allow you to take it on the path you want to...

Hotdogg, sorry for jumping in between, was reading both of your conversation. The impulsive decision which Saras took in the novel, was it to go back to Dubai leaving her ? If he does that, his confession yesterday that he believes her more than himself is such a waste.

@Arshi..I agree on the Dandiya part...They were both made to Dance rather than Dandiya...
but I guess in the end they did pick momentum had the music not destroyed it😆

That was Happy chappy, bro...and I admit, I wanted to tell him/her then, 'I don't want to be 'brave hearted' on these two!😲 He/She is absolutely right. Just imagining reverses on each utterances of Saras gives me depression...and let me tell you, SLB is no match as a sadist to G.M.T. grand master of all...even Sarat chatterji is no match.OuchOuch
To give a sample, he has actually written a scene, Navin aka SC wanted to hug aggrieved Kumud after a strike or exit by Pramad...she speaks, " you have lost the right"...can you imagine suspended hands?!🤢

kaadal..let me try to summarize..

in the novel the engagement is announced, they write to each other and start falling in love, then SC visits RN, meets her in person and both confess their love for each other...then SC goes back home at which point Guman creates a conflict between LN & SC regarding inheritance, money etc..in the conflict LN accuses him of trying to steal the family money and giving it to kumud ...in a fit of righteous rage SC decides to chuck it all...he leaves LN's house and then writes a letter to kumud that he's sorry but he can't marry her...since it was conservative society a break-off of engagement was huge...in panic VC is forced to get kumud married off to Pramad...and rest of the story..

so our dikra while still loving her deeply was still too impulsive and made a bad decision..then his own ego did not allow him to correct his mistake in time...by the time he realises the mistake, kumud is married and the die is cast...

SLB has already made major adaptations...in the show the rejection letter is brought in right at the beginning, followed by them falling in love...

however what smrth & I were discussing were the next steps if the show has to follow the story...there will be a seperation caused by guman, arising out of an impulsive call by saras...

and we are fast approaching that point...without which the story cannot move forward...

BTW: the more I learn the more I realize the story is entirely about kumd...then why did the author name it SC.?..haven't got the answer yet...maybe in the period it was written a novel with the name of its female protaganist would not have had a wider appeal...or maybe the author was trying to be cheeky and naming it after the bozo whose one impulsive decision caused all the trouble for all the characters and permitted him to write 5 volumes over 15 years! 😊

Hi Sorry to jump in...Was just going through and this one caught my attention..Nice point Hotdogg(If I can address you by that name?? if not pls tell me how to??)
About the novel being named after Saraswatichandra...yes it struck me then too...it is definitely about Kumud and her family more than Saras and his...but I think, Saras in most parts is the narrator...It is very much as per Saras' point of view...how he sees the charcters' story unfold...and also ...Saras being the one character who changed lot of shades...Also as you pointed out it was his decision which changed the fate of So many lives...
