Seeing SBS I feel bad for the team. The consummation may not be for TRP sake but the news has come out as expected. Now because of this we have to see how much the TRP's are going to be affected as majority would prefer to watch it on laptop rather than sit with family in front of TV. I agree, only SLB can be bold enough to take this step and hopefully our audience at 7.30 slot are ready to accept this.

Kaadal, it will depend on how well it is shown, and SLB I am sure will shoot it very aesthetically

I am sure if it is well done, it will be accepted by the audience

I am sure the consummation scene is not for TRP sake and we don't even know how the scene will turn out.. Despite of making adjustments in the script, they have pretty much stuck to their basic plan so far.. GR told in his first interview that SLB approves the script and sometimes if the channel approves and later he feels dissatisfied about anything, he goes back to get the scene re-shot and gets it re-approved by the channel.. He hasn't used ''sex'' to sell his big budget movies..why would he do that for the show?

I think everyone is in agreement that Samud separation and Kumud marrying Pramad is inevitable. Aside from that -

1) Saras in the novel has a fall out with his dad, renounces everything and walks away. Here it has been mentioned that he had taken an oath to stay/support his dad always. How will this play out?

2) Guman might finally reveal to him she wants all the wealth and business to belong to Danny, does not want Saras to get married, have children. She orders him to leave. Saras' oath, improving relationship with dad prompt him to choose dad over marriage to Kumud.

3) If Guman created some problem for Desais, it might be another reason for Saras to choose dad over marriage in exchange for Guman to put an end to whatever problem she created for Desais?

4) Who will be Pramad?

Your line of thought seems right

I too feel that it will be Saras who walks away, and will do so thinking that it will be better for Kumud if he is not in her life anymore.

So, either of the two things will be the cause -

1. Promise to his mother that he will always be with his father

2. His own belief that whoever he loves comes to harm - the reason for initially pushing Kumud away

How Guman will create the scenario which will cause Saras to walk away is to be seen

Because it doesn't seem that it will be an MU, it will most probably be Saras sacrificing

I just hope it will be big enough to be convincing

Because the CVs have shown that the Desai Vyas friendship has survived two very big hits - the ditching of Dugba and haveli

Now it has to be something even bigger -

And the shame resulting from consummation will be big enough to create reason for Kumud to marry Pramad
