Arshi, appreciate your breaking down the episode and the haveli logic for us. The post about the haveli should be stickied 😊

We saw hot headed Kumud and impulsive Saras in action yesterday. I can try and understand why every character reacted the way they did yesterday. I just don't find it logical and can not justify their actions just because I am a fan of the character or actor.

They had to bring back the haveli track for some reason. They also needed to create a fight between Samud for TRPs, to create more romance opportunities and to give Guman a weapon for future use. I believe most regulars on this thread would agree. The script was not up to the mark yesterday. Lets hope it is an anomaly and move on.

On another note – Kumud-Saras-Dukhba interactions were cute yesterday.

Now everyone knows that VC had mortgaged the house to fund LN's business. Today they were taken aback by VC-LN fight. Tomorrow I want to see their reaction to the news that VC had mortgaged their ancestral property without anybody's knowledge. I would also like Saras to know full details of how VC helped LN and what LN did thereafter, buying the haveli, collecting the monthly installments and investing that money in a business for Kumud etc

BTW - Kumud tells Gun that Saras falsely accused VC. When did he accuse VC?

I found Saras' tone more courteous while talking to VC than Kumud's when she addressed LN.

@ Vaishu – Samud have always felt an authority over each other from the beginning. Its endearing to watch the various ways it has come across to us. It was with the same authority he shouted at her. I just did not think of Samud fight as husband-wife banter. Even if they were married, in my POV, no husband should speak to his wife in that tone.😳

Nandy, the accussation Kumud was talking about was her father not acknowledging the help LN was offering.. I thought Saras should have tried to pacify both his father and his kaka.. Instead he asked his father to calm down and then confronted VC with a stern tone..'' I will not listen a word against my dad'' ( fair enough) but where he crossed the line was when he said if you cant acknowledge his effort, atleast don't falsely accuse him'' thats what riled her up.. Saras is as impulsive as Kumud is..At that point, if he had used his biggest virtue to good use, which is patience, then things would have not turn that bad.. If he had patiently made both of them talk it out.. pacify VC the way he pacified his father instead of differentiating between father and father like kaka, then Kumud wouldn't have stepped in..She later admitted that she wouldn't have interfered in their fight , had Saras not accussed her father.. I think more than the accusation it was Saras differentiating between their fathers in his treatment that angered her..

And about the husband wife banter, I agree..no husband should speak to his wife in that tone.. and vice versa.. I was actually referring to the authority and ''haq'' in that equation..😳

many thanks for figuring out the mortgage logic...
i think they are trying to close of the illogical mortgage track...and doing it through a single messy epi...at least for now the haveli is free and VC & family knows the staus.
i hope we have scrapped the bottom of the barrel yesterday...and will move on to more sensible tracks.
i have started to believe that maybe the dialogue writers are not upto the mark...in a screenplay of a complex relationship story, which tried to be a cut above the rest AND now trying to turn a corner...the dialogue has to be spot on to communicate the predicament of the characters and link the characters behavious to their reasons for doing so...
the acting is spot on...we love and hate the characters as we are supposed to..
..but it takes all the brainpower of people on this forum to decipher the nuances, why the character is behaving the way he/she is...
..it shouldn't be this way or this hard all the time...

arshi, just finished watching the show, actually i quite liked the lively drama..ek ke baad ek..Gautam was just flawless not an ounce of over acting by that guy, jennifer was good, the rest were ok, but vc went a little overboard by this whole thing and made it a big issue! poor LN didn't know what to do! i must say it was gumaan's day to celebrate today..hamesha muh ki khaani parti hai!

all in all not a bad episode, missed samud, loved gauti's expressions when he was giving the shirt to dugba..to die for😳! i would rate it as 7.5/10!

interesting points hotdogg! i think the cvz r in a rush to make it more dramatic and gain some trps, if it works then the show will be on track..and as u said maybe we will get to see some tracks that make sense..and i guess they r trying to close all the senseless tracks that were initially started..the gau hatya one was completely useless..it made sc loose its viewers..and then this whole haveli mortgage thing would have been a disaster..i hope that they now pull their socks and show us some sensible tracks matching the pace that was set in the beginning of the show, their focus should be more on how the characters were set in the novel and how they can incorporate them in today's time and age and how the tracks can be built by keeping the essence of the show and the story of the novel intact!

arshi, lovely post on logics ki vaat..this whole gau hatya and haveli mortgage track was pointless, especially gau hatya!..now this mortgage issue was going to be the next track, how gumaan mortgaged the haveli when it was on ln's name and how she was going to kick them out was all planned out...suddenly the drop in trps panicked the cvz, they had to change the track, now already started track had to be finished somehow, so they decided to make more dramatic by giving vc the bundle of money instead of the papers..now if u have money anything is possible, maybe gumaan had some contacts in india, she got the money transferred somehow, she knew that giving money instead of haveli papers will be more insulting..its possible that it was gumaan's idea to give the money that was earned from the profits of the business on kumud's name, and maybe then ln would have given the papers to vc, but before anything could happen a big fight took place!

...u got me there!...addiction does not go away that easy...
just had to see it to see how bad it was...peene wale ko peene ka bahana chahiye and all that...
😆
and kind of agree with @mandygill... the acting was good...it felt bad because:
- off the illogic of the track itself - both the mortgage & its write-off
- illogical and rushed way they tried to close it off...almost as if they did not want to waste anything more than half an epi on this..
- get saras and kumud into a fight...to move on to next track.
...but the dialogues just did not communicate the sense of hurt, obligation & duty both LN & VC were under and wanted to close out (sort of settling the accounts on the haveli) and which caused each to behave the way they did...
..on the plus side...with yesterday's bad medicine ...more or less all accounts / tracks got settled yesterday to prepare for new tracks...
Reconciled tracks:
- saras & kumud admittedly in love.. check
- saras & kumud now facing a medium toughness level test of their love.. check
- guman earlier trump of haveli ownership closed... check
- saras & dad buddies now ...check
- VC family aware about VC stunt of mortgaging haveli...check
- villians identified... check
Possible new tracks combinations for trp balance through which they might get to original story...
- samud reconcile and become stonger in their love...kumud jealousy ...possible confrontation and saras declares love for kumud publicly in wedding ...OR...
- samud screwed...possible announcement of saras engagement to juhi during coming wedding track ...i am afraid this will be the most attractive option...coz then saras goes back, kumud is left behind, she has to be engaged to someone else, saras regret, point of no return etc...and we are back to the story essence.
- kumari in trouble
- DB in trouble...kumari & hubby / ex-hubby
- VC in trouble ...we now know his business is not of super-rich variety
- kumari & sunny track...highly unlikely coz she's only 16
- kusum & sunny...maybe
- new villians...juhi / ghyanbhai..maybe
neways...as per the spoliers...i am prepared to take a hit of one final scrapping of the barrel today...apparently both VC & LN will reconcile and it will be as if yesterday's epi didi not happen...
but our jodis will still continue to nurse their bruised egos...
