Even though there are some typical things involved in SC, I personally think it is much different to any other show on Indian TV. Most shows CLAIM to be different, but have the same feel - a bubbly female lead, or a seedhi/saadhi i-will-accept-anything kinda female lead. However on this show, both the leads are actually different!

Kumud isn't a typical lead - she knows how to use everything she's got. She's intelligent, confident, practical, sensual and flirty - and she's aware of all of her traits too!
Saras is such a beautiful character, because he is such a pure hero!

^Both of these things are refreshing.

Oh and I disagree with quite a few of your points:

1) Almost everybody on the show is a really good actor - be it VC, Dukhbaa, Chachi, Kumari or Kusum.

2) WTH this show DOES NOT just focus on the leads! ..which is very clear from almost every single episode so far.

3) There is emotional drama, obviously! SC the novel is a tragedy!

4) The drama may be illogical to you now, because the storylines are still being revealed!

5) Most storylines here have no logic ki vaat..compared to other shows, its pretty logical.

6) In many families in India, especially rural India, and even Indian families outside of India, sanskaar is very important, and IS brought up if someone does something wrong.

agrree woth u the leads arent typical kumud is diff so is saras theres kinda role reversal !!

and all are fab actors the quality is so good n high of acting n visual

So we watch it and write about the imperfections,

The day it becomes like other serials, we will stop criticizing it, as we will not watch it any more😊

I agree with you. This serial is turning out very cliched and predictable
I mean Yash did accident we can already guess SC will take blame even if precap is not shown
SC wants to learn pot making Kumud will learn and teach again can be guessed before
We wanted a better serial from SLB a classic like the orginial novel. SLB is a bold director look at his Guzaarish. SLB is successful because he never thought of money but audience. He must do the same not think of TRPs but make a classic serial whose DVDs sell after 30 years
Even today DVDs of Ramanyan(1980s), Dekh Bai Dekh etc sell in malls and people pay 700-100Rs to buy them why? I mean people like us who are not even born during those times buy DVDs and watch it on reccomendation of parents why? Because they are classic.
I expected SC to be a classic not any other mediocre show. The makers must correct these illogical tracks and scenes else it will be tough to maintain viewer attention

I do agree that in a lot of areas, the show is extremely typical which is disappointing. But SaMud are a couple we have never seen on television before and for now, they're enough for me to stick to the show. Their whole presentation screams epicness!

Well said, this serial seems to be like any other typical show, expected SLB mark on it, he chose to remake a classic, but right now it's a rehash

The whole presentation leaves a lot to be desired, yes the romance scenes are nice, that's all
