How are people having such adamant views on Jennifer being a miscast after 5 episodes? An actor plays the character how they understand it. What are her 'critics' going by? How should the role be played? Most important question...who would be the best replacement?

Who do you guys see as a better KUMUD? If anyone could answer that I may get a clearer idea BUT if you're going to say someone who can play 'bubbly' then the explanation can stop right there.

If ppl are allowed to speak up, when they dunn like sum thing, then whats wrong if ppl ,who like, counter post/reply. Either let alone work speak for both cases or ppl should allowed to state their POV . And their r enough ppl who r watching her for first time or more, but like her as Kumud .I just dunn get why negative critics are more welcome than positive one?????????

Ok so those who do not like Jenny is the role have expressed thier opinions, now stop because it is leaving a very negative vibe in the forum and ruining it for those who are trying to enjoy the show and Jenny's portrayal of kumud. And plz don't think about petitioning to change the Actress playing kumud, so many of us are enjoying her portrayal and you wouldn't want hate from all of those people.

From what I gathered from your posts in this topic and the other similar one, you think that the casting is bad and it needs to change.(Sorry I'm a nosy person). Also, in your reply to someone, you seemed obstinate about your view, which you think won't change be it 1 week/year. No harm in expressing your opinion, I'm all for freedom of speech and expression. But it becomes a problem when people don't acknowledge other points of views. It's been literally 5 days. Won't hurt to at least observe some more and then decide.

With others who are shunning off people applauding Jennifer as 'fangirls', I bed to differ. Why are we bent on putting people in boxes? If criticism can be stripped of the 'bashing' tag so should appreciation not be depreciated as 'fangirling'. and why fan'girling'?- the gender discrimination in language .

I am sure some of them are blindly commenting without even watching the show, no wonder they know nothing about Kumud's character in the show.

Guys chodo kaun kya sochta hai humein kya we know k jenny se acha is character ko koi play nhn kar sakta...SLB ne jenny ko select kiya hai Kumud k charcter k liye usse ziyada aur kya baat hosakti hai k jenny best hai uski acting expression sab fab hain humein kisi ko bhi proof karne ki zarorat nhn hai k jenny is character k liye perfect hai ya nhn...jenny ur fab as kumud we love u

but the fact that SLB wanted jennifer only states the matter...
other than jennifer nobody would fit perfectly

Jennifer Winget doesn't suit this role of a earthy, rural girl. In fact the character of Kumud is largely inspired by Nandini from HDDCS, and the imitation is epic fail 👎🏼 The actor playing the character of Saraswatichandra isn't impressive either.

The first thing which striked me on seeing Kumud is that she's trying hard to be like Nandini from HDDCS & Paro of Devdas 🤔 Watching JW for the 1st time on telly & am no judge about if her casting was fit or not. Maybe if she brings in her own style of acting to Kumud's role instead of being wannabe Nandini/Paro, Kumud might look like a genuine character. 🤔 I stopped watching the show after 2 days coz it bored me to no end 🤢 but the forum is quite interesting 👏👏👏 😃

Just because her CHARACTER is inspired from Nandini, the acting is also wannabeish? She is acting how Jennifer Winget would act upon taking such a role, not imitating Aishwariya as Nandini. Shame people can't see the difference between character and actor. I don't see any of her mannerisms similar to those of Aishwariyas. There is a certain way SLB would want his heroines to perform and Jen understands that.

Anyone able to give a suitable replacement for Jen?? Who would be good as the earthy and rural kumud?
