Great post! The letters are so much more romantic and thoughtful than an email or text, because more work goes into putting a letter together. I just don't like the fact that kusum is reading kumuds letter, because it will be so much more heartbreaking when she reads to kumud that he as refused for marriage.

first of all Remz I love you for this post🤗

Let me tell you nothing can give nicer feeling than a nice letter...phone, emails are our today's technologies but even today I feel letter just gives another feeling altogether...I and my parents used to write letters to each other when they were in the US even though we would email and talk on the phone!!! moreover, letter writing is such an integral part of this whole love story that I'm glad they stuck to it!!

and guess what?? they actually even justified the reason why he wrote the letter but of course, some people are here just to make fun of the show and hence, ready to give the ultimatum without even giving a chance or waiting to watch the next episode.😊

You are right :) problem is that people keep forgetting that it is based on a novel written in 1800s. They are trying to make it as contemporary as possible yet not deviating from the essence and values of the original story. And so far they have done a commendable job.

1. Kumud dint not fall in love ''already'' and overnight.. She is intrigued and fascinated with the eyes that she saw in her dreams and next day she sees that this guy has same eyes..If I was her even I would think once whoaa what happened.. is he really the man I saw in my dreams? So her reactions are very natural. She said she has not said yes to the proposal but she couldn't say no either.. Totally makes sense!

2. I will copy paste my reply on another post - '' He used a private mailing/courier service to send the letter which is why the bill was sent at home. It will be faster than the regular mailing service. In the original novel, they exchange letter so they stuck to it. I am glad they kept it that way because emails, faxes etc will never have the same effect as hand written letters. Other than the whole feel that letters have, they also gave justification as to why letters and not emails. Saras cant ask for her email id, doesnt want to call her which is understood so he decides to write letters ( assuming he got the address from one of the letters that Kumud's father had sent). As of Kumud, they already showed the whole village has one computer that too in the school.

completely agree with the bold part and that is exactly my thoughts too👏
like If I happen to know that someone whom I have never seen or heard about in my life but appeared in my dreams and I come to know that person exists for real, even I would be as intrigued and as fascinated as Kumud!!

great post
the couple writing letters to one another is actually quite cute and adorable
a letter has that personal touch and unique fragrance on it which can not be matched by an email...but on the flip side an email is much faster way of communication. btw didnt the letter reach kumud a little soon i though it would take a few days.😆

To be honest this show is not for people who are watching it with preconceived ideas influenced by todays television romance. This lovestory is not situational romance, where two people meet, dupattas fly , eyelocks happen and bammm! love is in the air..Its a little more mature subject than that..if I can say so :) I was actually impressed how they made the whole letter writing thing so logical and believable in todays times. Yes even today handwritten letters have a feel to them, a personal touch which emails and texts will never have. In the original story, Saras and Kumud fall in love through letters so they had to keep that element intact .
And for people who are complaining about how Kumud is all lovestruck so soon.. She is NOT in love yet.. For love to happen one needs to see and know the person.. She thinks that destiny has chosen him as her soulmate since he has the same eyes she saw in her dreams.. How difficult is that to understand?

I loved your post 👏
To be honest I totally loved the idea of letters. in todays world where texting and mails works everywhere and im absolutely not against them but i believe letters have a different kind of FEEL in them, words written by your beloved, pouring their feelings - its more real and connecting and deeper to me. I really liked it and according to the books the letters play a very vital role in Saras n Kumuds life and they fall in love through letters so im actually very happy SLB used real letters rather than mails. 👏
and abou falling in love, dear god how people have misconceptions about falling love 😆 i find kumud and saras story very much poignant and i dont think Kumud is in love. she has accepted it as a part of her life that this man, intrigued by his eyes is a part of his life now. and it STILL happens to many people. donno how it's not acceptable.. thanks for the post 😃
