Today was a serious episode despite a poignant Brija scene and Mrityun's one liners...another curveball by the CVs...why is SBKM rolling so fast?...But I loved the older sister act of Arti's...
In BBP's Hotel room in Gwalior, Rangoli gets a message from Mrityun about "the girl" having been apprehended. She quickly makes up an excuse and leaves BBP's room. Before leaving she tells BBP that they would be having dinner together. BBP is suspicious and calls Pooja's security detail to make sure that she is safe. After Rangoli leaves BBP's room, she calls Mrityun and tells him to make sure that he keeps men posted at the rendezvous point to photograph BBP coming there.
In a Gwalorian warehouse filled with hazy blue smoke, a blindfolded and bound Arti is seated on a rickety chair. Mrityun's henchman is recording Pooja pleading for her freedom. Arti implores Mrityun that she is from a poor family and that she was there to meet a friend - was that such a crime? Rangoli makes an entrance into the improvised torture chamber screeching that while it was not a crime to make friends, it definitely was a crime to flirt with BBP...the blindfolded Arti suspects that this might have to do with Pooja but does not let on. On being questioned, Arti says she knows BBP but there was nothing between them. When Rangoli (who thinks that Arti is Bhavna) keeps screeching about Mauritius and her identity as an MLA's daughter, Arti denies all and asks her to take a look at her ration card (prosaic but rational I guess - but who walks around with their ration card?). Mrityun and his henchmen realize that something is amiss. Mrityun asks Arti (bai - he calls her that) what she was doing near the palace, she says that she was there with Krish to see the palace. Mrityun asks who? Hrithik Roshan? As Arti offers more proof, Mrityun realizes that she is the wrong person and lets an infuriated Rangoli know as much.
Meanwhile Brija meet up at a park (this is not the Shivpuri NP that I have seen!). There (an unshaven and slightly haggard) BBP (wearing his short shirts, me likes very very much) and Pooja chat and he confesses his feelings yet again. Poignantly, he asks Pooja if she would ever leave him and she says no - she would not only be with him in this life, but all other life times (careful what you ask for). Krish's phone call interrupts the lovers' tryst . Pooja (and BBP) are shocked to hear about Arti's kidnapping. They leap back into BBP's vehicle and as they head out, BBP assures a shocked and bawling Pooja that everything would be ok; he would make sure that Arti would return safely. BBP calls up the IG police and begs him a favor - to rescue Arti and apprehend the criminals. Even though he is beside himself (mainly because of Pooja's tears), BBP connects the dots and realizes that Arti must have unintentionally heard his phone call meant for Pooja come to Ram Vilas Palace. He further realizes that it must be Rangoli's handiwork and swears that this time she would not escape.
With his vehicle parked at a roadside BBP calls up Rangoli (still at the hazy blue warehouse) and tells her that he has had information from the CID that her life was in danger and moreover she was walking around without security; she should leave whatever it is that she was doing and should head home. When Rangoli hears this she mocks him, BBP responds saying that Daddaji also has been informed and would be calling her. The episode ends with Rangoli receiving a call from her "papa".
