For the tenth time that morning a furious Sadhna dialed Ragini's number only to hear the message "Sorry the number your dialing is unavailable. Please try again". In frustration, she threw the cell away. It flew, and landed in the corner.

It was 1-00 in the afternoon and Ragini Sharma was still missing. The girl was never late, and it was quite unusual. They had known each other since their childhood days, and Sadhna could swear the girl would always be present twenty minutes before hand. She was very punctual about time, then what went wrong today? It was so unlike, Ragini.

A furious Ragini looked out the window for the nth time to see the amount of cars ahead of the taxi. It had been over an hour, since she had come on this road, and right then an accident had occurred in front jamming the entire traffic. There was no sign of movement, plus to make matters worst her cell wasn't working.

The day had started on a very bad note for her, for what felt like the first time she had woken up late to feel tired and dizzy, despite this she had managed to force herself out of bed... changed in barely minutes, and ran out the door to reach her car... only to find it unworkable.

Then, she had to rush out in the busy street to stop a taxi, after a good twenty minutes a taxi had finally halted. Since, then she had been stuck in this taxi, and all she could do was stare out of the window helplessly to see the traffic ahead with the hope that somehow this traffic would clear.

As she glanced at her watch, somewhere her instinct warned her that the day would get much worst.

It was the knocking of the door that stopped her from pondering over Ragini

"Come in", she answered without bothering to check who was at the door

"Ma'am, we have a conference in twenty minutes" a young lad called out loud

"Yes, I am aware of that. I have heard that a billion times this morning" replied a lost Sadhna still not glancing at his face

"Sir asked me to inform you that if Ragini does not show up at the conference, then she will be fir... fir... fired"

A shocked Sadhna turned to face the guy, "What? Alekh is nuts"

She looked out the window, before she added "What's wrong with him? Go and tell him that I am not scared of his stupid threats!"

The boy noticed that Sadhna was loosing her patience and she literally sounded on the verge of tears. It was better to get out of the cabin before Sadhna exploded, so he just nodded when Sadhna's gaze met his and turned around to walk out.

"Wait, and tell him he should act like a human for once. Ragini might be sick! He should try to understand! And, not act like a complete ***"

The boy's mouth went wide open, but he simply nodded and walked out. Sadhna was aware that the guy wouldn't go and inform all that to Alekh, except maybe the sick part, at least he was sensible unlike some people in the hospital.

She spent the remainder of the time in her cabin dialing Ragini's number constantly before she finally gave up and walked out with the hope that Ragini would somehow manage to make it on time.

"Madam jee, where are you going?" called out the young asian driver

"I am leaving" replied Ragini

"But, Madam jee you won't find any other cab" replied the driver

"I have decided to walk down" replied Ragini as she slammed a $20 bill on his seat.

She had no other option, but to walk down now. Clutching tightly to her jacket she made her way to the sidewalk, then she started to walk as quickly as her legs could carry.

Sadhna peeped in the room only to realize she was not the only occupant, almost all the seats had filled up and only two people were missing: Alekh Rajvansh and Ragini Sharma.

She walked up to the mike. She really HATED to take Ragini's place, but she had no other option, that arrogant hot headed Alekh was... as it is pissed at Ragini, and if she refused his offer she was pretty sure she would be fired as well.

As soon as she opened the folder, the door opened, to reveal and a tall handsome young man with a very sharp gaze with no-nonsense look clearly written on his face.

Sadhna stopped breathing the minute she took in the appearance of her boss, Alekh Rajvansh. When she recognized anger in his eyes she immediately ignored him and rolled her sleeves to glance at her watch, it was too late.... it seemed impossible now that Ragini would show up.

All her hope flew down the window and she cleared her throat only to see the door fly open, and in stepped Ragini Sharma looking elegant and graceful as always.

As Ragini walked to the stage each step felt heavy. Her head was literally spinning, and she just wished that this conference would get over soon, so that she could just go back to her apartment and lie in bed. She grabbed the folder from Sadhna, and immediately started the conference.

Meanwhile, Sadhna noticed Ragini's state was a mess, to others she may appear beautiful and elegant, but Sadhna could notice Ragini lacked charm today. There was something terribly wrong with Ragini.

She looked sick and tired, and her look clearly displayed her pain. She looked like she would fall down dead any second. Just as this thought crossed Sadhna's mind Ragini fell to the floor, while Sadhna gasped in horror.

She immediately rushed to Ragini's aid, while a couple of other people rushed on stage to help out. Sadhna had never meant any bad of Ragini, then how had this happened?

She went in complete shock as she looked at a lifeless Ragini in front of her. Oh god she couldn't be dead could she?

It was Alekh, who yelled at Sadhna to get water and as she ran to call Vivanesh, tears slipped down her eyes, as she realized it was due to her Ragini had fallen unconscious.
