Hmm.. Love is simply immeasurable.
Ranvir walked away from Taj Mahautsav because he was shocked to see that Ragini was Anamika and she had been so close to him this entire time and he couldn't recognize her. Vasu of course went and mislead him.
Though, I do feel like Ranvir did have a very slight problem with Ragini's dusky color in the very beginning, but when he realized how much he truly loved Ragini, he never once judged her "color" again. In fact he stood up for her whenever anybody insulted her about her color. Also, when he realized what he had lost due to his confusion when Ragini refused him for her family, he was really upset with himself. For me he made up for everything during the haldi when he blasted Vasu's friend when she insulted Ragini and proved that he would protect her no matter what. In fact, then he even admitted that he didn't deserve her because she's better than him. By the time they were getting married, Ranvir had matured tenfold and understood the importance of love.
Ragvir got married due to the efforts of Alekh, Sadhna, Indu, Mamaji but they fell in love all on their own. Nobody can make somebody fall in love. There is no such thing as a love potion in the real world.
Also, it wasn't like Ranvir didn't do anything..He tried everything he thought was right to convince Vasu but she didn't budge at all. If he wanted, he definitely could have gone and married ragini against Vasu's wishes but he didn't want to at all..He wanted his mom to accept his choice. He didn't get mad at her or blackmail her to get her to agree. In the end, Vasu's love as a mother overpowered her hatred for Ragini's color thanks to Alekh!
