Written Update- 23rd Jan 2009

Scene opens with Ambica, Satyen , Indrajeet at the Rajvansh house, ready and waiting in the hall for the others to come so that they can start for the Sharmas' house to attend Ragini's Mehndi and Sangeet when Avni joins in as she is also all set. Sadhna and Aalekh are also ready and are descending the stairs to join the others with Ranvir requesting Sadhna to let him also come as he would be all alone in the house and get bored. Sadhna is lost in her own thoughts and not fully concentrating on Ranvir's talk. She tries to tell Ranvir that he cannot come there as it is not allowed and requests Aalekh to explain him the same. Aalekh, Chachu and Indrajeet explain Ranvir that he has to be patient. Everybody is present except Vasu so all the others are waiting for her to come, though they do not make it very evident, the tension of Vasu-Satyen scene is still running on elders' minds and they are a little worried about Vasu who is taking too long to get ready. Indrajeet finally asks a servant to go and get Vasu when she herself comes and says she cannot go with them as she has a headache but Ranvir and Aalekh convince her to go as the family cannot go without her.

Sharma House:

Prakashchand is busy in his preparations to welcome the guests when he notices that he has not shaved his beard. So he decides to quickly shave and get ready before the Rajvansh family reaches, he applies the foam and calls out to Kaushalya to hand him the razor but Ragini gets him the razor instead and he asks her why she brought it instead of Kaushalya. Ragini asks him if she is not allowed to do anything for him to which he says that he is going to miss her as there will be nobody to do all this for him. He recollects incidents from Sadhna and Ragini's childhood when the sisters would come to him while he was applying the shaving cream and ask him to shave for them also. Prakashchand then reminisces how he used to apply the cream, some on Ragini's cheek and some on Sadhna's while Kaushalya would yell at him for applying shaving cream on the girls' faces. Sadhna also enters and listens to him talk and he once again applies the cream on Ragini's and Sadhna's faces. All three get emotional as it is time for Bidaai and Sharma ji promises that he will cry for Sadhna's bidaai along with Ragini's as he could not do so during her actual bidaai. Meanwhile, Vineet and Malti are busy welcoming the Rajvansh family and Aalekh tells Mamiji he wants to meet Mamaji. He enters the room and finds Ragini, Sadhna and Mamaji discussing about the girls' childhood and now bidaai , Aalekh sulks and complains that Sadhna has left him alone and is not including him in their discussion to which Mamaji pacifies him saying that he cannot be ignored by any of them as he is married to Sadhna who is half of his heart and that now the other half of his heart i.e. Ragini is also going to his house. Aalekh innocently says that it means Mamaji's complete heart is their house due to which Mamaji gets very emotional. He asks the three of them to leave for the ceremony now so that he can also quickly get ready and join them. He then weeps alone recollecting how true Aalekh's words are and wondering how he is going to live without his heart when Ragini is also gone. The tension between Satyen and Vasu is still there but nobody makes it evident and Ambica compliments Kaushalya on the grand arrangements , she observes the worry on Kaushi's face and asks her if she is still affected by what happened at the Haldi but Nani brushes it off as mild sickness. Sadhna and Aalekh are accompanying Ragini who is talking on the phone with Ranvir saying that she is feeling bad that he cannot join them and also because she cannot do anything about it . She hangs up telling him that she cannot talk to him now as she needs to get the Mehndi applied.

Ragini's Mehndi and Sangeet finally start with Malti, Sadhna dancing to Chalk chalka re from Saathiya along with the other dancers. After the dance, Malti is hurrying outside when she bumps into a lady wearing a red saree who has covered her face completely. She enquires the lady about her identity and also why she has covered her face. The lady happens to be Ranvir , he tells his name is Sunaina and that Ragini is his college friend. He gushes about how Ragini used to praise her Malti Bhabhi all the time and Malti feels flattered and lets him go in. He goes and joins Ragini while everybody around is finding it strange that this girl has covered her face completely and is not willing to unveil it. Even Ragini does not seem to recollect Sunaina and requests to see her face as she might remember who she is then but Ranvir refuses making some excuse; he takes her hand into his on the pretext of praising her Mehndi and does not let go of it. Malti who has come back observes Ranvir's shoes from the sari and slowly sneaks in from behind and pulls off the veil , thus Ranvir gets caught. Sadhna catches him by the ear and pulls him away from Ragini along with Malti bhabhi and he is sent out of the house with everybody laughing at his antics. But he enters again, this time in a Sherwani and with dancers. He dances to Maahi Ve from Kal Ho Na Ho and Ragini also joins him (she does the "Maahi Ve" step so beautifully as Ranvir looks on and she suddenly feels shy realizing that she was dancing at her own ceremony and also because he was staring at her) along with everyone from the Sharma and Rajvansh family. In between the song, everyone gets emotional as this happiness comes with the flip side of Ragini's departure which will take place soon but the joyous spirit resumes again and everybody dances having a great time. However, at the end of the dance, Mamiji shoots a look of contempt at Sadhna and leaves from there which leaves Sadhna worried. The episode ends with Prakaschand and Vishwambernath(Akshara's dad from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlaata Hai) talking about Ragini's wedding, fathers' feelings during daughters' send off and the former inviting the latter's family to come over for the wedding and also inquiring about his children Akshara and Shaurya.
