2nd March 2009 - Written Update (COMPLETE)

Hello everyone, welcome to the final week of Sangam. I know you all will be sad to see Sangam end as will I but I am happy that soon we will be see S/G sangam at long last. I want to see Anjali aka Gudiya interact with her mother now she is all grown up. Their relationship was beautiful to see when she was younger. I hope you all are ready for the first episode of the work where.........what occurrred in the bedroom 8 years ago was revealed. Read and find out.....

G and S stare at each other for a while. S doesn't say anything but just looks at G with hatred. Bebo seeing her father there makes the introductions. She introduces G to her father as her class teacher and her fav Miss Sharma. S walks towards Bebo and picks her school bag off the table and takes Bebo's hand and walks way without saying a word. Aryan standing outside the class sees all this happening.

S drags bebo out of school grounds. SHe wants to know why he didn't talk to G and she wants to stay in the competition as Miss Sharma has been preparing her for ages. He suddenly stops and asks her where she got the permission to enter the competition. He demands to know whether it was Anjali. Bebo then has no option but to tell S everything regarding Anjali plan which was to get through to the final and then lose so G would be blamed for her poor performance and be thrown out of school. Anjali wanted to teach G a lesson. S just looks at her with anger.

Shubot walks into his home where Shanta is waiting. SHe asks him where he was as bebo is in her room and has been crying since she returned from school. SHe won't say a word even when she asks her. Shubot wonders what the problem could be. Shanta says maybe S found out about the competition. Shubot says he will talk to Bebo.

Bebo is in her room talking to the photo of Kaveri and is crying. She says:

Mama you were saying that papa loves G aunty alot but he didn't say anything after seeing her. He didn't even look at her properly.How can I bring them closer? I have no way to fulfil your last wish. Please help me, mama. You said that after you, G aunty will be my mama. Please tell me mama, won't I get my mama now?

Shanta and Shubot have heard Bebo talking to her mother's photo. Shubot hurridly goes to bebo and embraces her. He makes her a promise:

Don't worry. I will fulfil your mother's last wish. I will unite S and G. I will get you your mum's love which you had lost previously. This is my promise to you.

They all embrace each other and cry.

G is packing her clothes. Aryan is trying to stop her from leaving. He tells her not to make a hasty decision. G just tells him to leave her alone. She knows what she is doing. Aryan asks her why she is running from her past again today. Aryan says that she still loves S. G gets angry at hearing this and shouts that she doesn't love S anymore. She pleads with him to leave her alone. He leaves after reminding her that running from problems isn't a solution to them. She walks to the door and shuts it. SHe stands with her back to the door and agrees with what Aryan just said but she thinks that he doesn;t know what happened between her and S 8 years back. Why he still hates her so much.

Flashback of what occurred 8 years back is shown : (the bedroom scene)
She shuts the door and with her back to G says:

G: S, Kaveri didi has gone to Kundanpur and she will discover everything about our past and when she comes I won't be able to face her. That is why I have decided to leave.
S:I will speak to Kaveri.
G shrugs his hand off her shoulder and shouts and asks him. G: but why? why he wants to stop her? and with what right? S: we have loved each other. Doesn't he have even that much right over her?
G: what have I gained by loving you?
S is shocked by her words.
G: loving you was my life's biggest mistake. I have wishes, I have hopes and desires and wants happiness too. What have I gained by loving you? Just pain, aloneness and tears. At every step I have received insults and accusations.
S: You can't be my G.
G: why? Just because my name is G then that doesn't mean that just like the Mother Ganga all I will do is wash people's sins. what do you think? That I will carry the burden of your love for life.
S: Is our love is a burden and a sin?
G: yes. you have made it that way. I feel like I am forcibly staying in his life. I have decided that I will leave you, your life and this home forever.
S: PLease stay for Gudiya's sake.How will Gudiya live without you?
G: somehow, she will get through but she will live won't she? Gudiya's responsibility is yours and not mine. Don't you remember that I never married Shekhar.
S: Yes I remember, but please stay for Gudiya.
She adamantly refuses to change her name.
G: I have a right to live my own life the way I choose.
S is shocked beyond reason.
S: I cannot believe that you can be so selfish.
G: If thinking of my oiwn happiness for once is being selfish then yes I am selfish. Whatever I have done til now, I have done for the happiness for this house. But my happiness.....S I too am a human being. I have the right to live my own life too.
S: No. You cannot be my Ganga. You are not that G that I loved.
G: I give thanks that at least your eyes were opened. Do you have anything else to say or can I leave?
S: No I don't have anything else to say. You have already said everything. You want to be free, don't you? You want your happiness, don't you? Then Ok, today I free you from all ties. You are free from me, our relationship, Gudiya's responsibility. From today onwards, G name won't be uttered in this house. S is dead for G forever. G is also dead for S too. You have insulted our love and called it a sin, didn't you? Today I finish this love. from today onwards there will only be hatred for G in my heart. My hatred will be as deep as my love. Go away from here.
S turns his back to her and yells at her to leave. She looks at his back with love and tears in her eyes. SHe walks to the door and looks back. SHe cries silently and then quickly walks out the door. S closes his eyes.

Precap: Bebo sitting on the chair in G house. G is explaining to her that what she wants cannot happen. In all these 8 years, all of our lives have taken a different direction. It is said that S/G unite but this S and G union will never happen. Never.

Comments: What happened in that room all those years ago was finally revealed. I can't beleive that even though G said those horrible things to him, he didn't have faith in her. He didn't beleive in her good qualities. He knows she isn't like that but still. I can understand that G comment about Gudiya can really hurt a person. He says that G stole Gudiya's childhood but I think and believe that S made the situation worse as he could have handled it alot better and not let it affect her childhood to the extent it did. He should partly take the blame for Gudiya's state himself. He can't put the entire blame on G. Shubot has faith in G as he proved today at the end when he said that G actions were all to unite him with kaveri not to hurt or cause pain. In my opinion, the reunion of S/G should be handled by removing the hatred Anjali aka Gudiya has for her mother first then trying to pacify S about her intentions regarding her previous actions. S mistake 8 years ago and presently is that he refused to talk to Gudiya about her mother. Gudiya always asked questions about her mother but S refused to answer any of them. This I think has escalated her hatred for her mother. It was so heartbreaking to watch Bebo talking to her mother photograph about the campaign. I nearly cried.
What are your thoughts on this development? How should the reunion be handled to ensure the hatred is removed from their lives? I can't beleive that we are on the final week of Sangam episodes.
