20th April 2010 Written Update

Part 1
---Dhani is worriedly looking at Ambika's back which is turning purple, Ramraj comes and she tells him that his wounds are getting worse so she must treat it, Dhani leaves. Ramraj is un-bandaging Ambika's wounds, Ambika is in pain. Dhani comes with a platter, she tells Ramraj to put the things on Ambika, Ramraj is doing it wrong and Dhani tries to tell him to do it differently, Ramraj tells her that his hands are for holding guns, not treating someone. He requests Dhani do it instead. Dhani remembers that her mom said that treating someone is a very important job, Dhani sits next to Ambika and treats his wound. Ambika has a flashback. Ambika is doing push-ups as Roop watches him. He gets up and Roop tries to clean the sweat on his face, Ambika stops him. Roop asks how he is so grown up but cannot take a woman touching him. Roop says she hopes that the day comes that he lets a woman touch him and his heart fills with stars. Ambika looks annoyed remembering this,

Part 2
---Dhani finishes treating Ambika's wound, Ramraj tells her that it is because of her that Ambika is not in pain anymore, Dhani reminds him it was her fault he got hurt in the first place. Dhani gets up to go, Ambika says, what now how will I go to do the work I have? he tries to get up, Ramraj protest he cannot in his condition. Dhani tells him if he goes he will be in more pain, Ramraj says that he will go do the job, Dhani also says she should do the job. Ambika says this job is very important, Dhani pleads that she wants to make up for her mistake and will not disappoint him. Ambika thinks about this and finally says yes, Dhani is pleased.
---Taiji is yelling at Madhu for not telling Sarla's mom that Avinash was secretly spending time with him behind his mother's back. Gauri is looking upset at Madhu, she tells Taiji that Madhu should not be treated this way in her condition. Taiji says she will continue till she gets Madhu to speak up. taiji grabs Madhu and tells her she will make her say the truth or she will kill Madhu and after drink poison. She keeps shaking Madhu, Gauri begs Taiji not to say this. Taiji leaves the room in tears, Gauri comforts Madhu, Sarla comes and tells Gauri she will care for Madhu. Sarla and Madhu stare at each other emotionally, Madhu cries in Sarla's lap.

Part 3
---Mayi is working in the kitchen at night, Gauri comes looking disturbed, Mayi asks what is wrong. Gauri asks how something like this could happen to Madhu and her child, she wonders why a mother could not get respect even though time has changed. She asks when this will end and cries in Mati's arms, Mayi comforts Gauri.
---A woman is running from a man, the man is hitting her and trying to take her jewelery from her, other villagers are sadly watching this. The man yells at her to give him the jewelery but she refuses, he grabs a whip to hit her. The woman's daughter begs her mom to give up the jewelery but she refuses. The man goes to the fir and puts a stick in it, the woman's daughter begs him to leave her alone, he is about to hit the woman with the stick but Dhani stops him. Dhani tells him how dare he beat her, the man says that they are a couple and she has no right to be involved in their business. He says he is a man so he can do it, Dhani says he has no right to be called a man, she helps the woman up and tells him that just to drink he takes money from his wife. The man says that woman should be at a man's foot, Dhani says that woman will one day be over their heads. Dhani says, you think woman are weak, the man says that no I know woman are weak. Dhani says that they will fight and if he gets her on the floor once, she will accept woman are weaker, but if he loses then... The man interrupts her and says he won't lose. He tries to hit Dhani, Dhani moves and he falls to the floor. He tries to get the whip but Dhani's foot is on it and he cannot pick it up. He tries to punch Dhani but Dhani stops his hand and punches him to the floor. Dhani puts her foot on his back and mocks him. She says, women are quiet and their daughter swatch this so they also stay quiet and take injustice. You need to fight so you can give love if they give you love and fight if they are unfair. You need to teach this to your daughters so things can change and know that woman can have power. An older woman comes to Dhani and says this is right, if they had done this today they would all be treated well, but now they won't take this, the woman takes the whip from the floor and hits the man. The man's wife begs her to stop and helps her husband up, Dhani tells the man that if he respected his wife and was good to her, she would be willing to take all his sadness. The old woman yells out that from now on no woman will take injustice. the man apologizes to Dhani, he tells him to apologize to his wife. He apologizes to her and his wife cries. Dhani looks proud and walks to her horse. The older woman asks Dhani, who are you? Dhani says, I am very helpless mother's daughter and every helpless girl's sister, My name is DeviBehen.

---Amber tells Sarla that Ambika Bhavani always gets away. Sarla says that if Ambika Bhavani can come in front of them without anyone knowing easily why can't the police come to Ambika, Amber is pleased hearing this.
