Gopi had presented him a blue shirt on his birthday when she went with Anita to get a gift for him. Although Anita knew his taste and brought the shirt with the color of his choice, he did not wear the shirt which Anita gave him. He didn't even realize that he had changed after the Holi incident.

As for Ahem's confession of love to Gopi during her pregnancy, I would say that it was a co-incidence. Expressing your love towards that person need not always be verbal immediately. Even though he was caring for her that itself is a gesture of love. Initially he did not say it verbally but he had expressed it through gestures. It was at the peak till Meera's drowning incident.

I thought that he would support Gopi & find out the truth but it didn't happen. At least the writers can give a proper repentance track to Ahem at least now.😉

I understand the points you are making. Ahem's character development was depicted well from Gopi's education track right till the Jigar-Rashi milaap track. That was when the show was at its peak.

But for me, I have not enjoyed Ahem-Gopi relationship since the unexpected pregnancy. It really disappointed me that the writers took this path. I became interested in the story again after Ahem's outburst that he didn't want to be a father. That was the perfect opportunity for Ahem's repentance track. But they wrapped it up too soon and they became a lovey-dovey couple which didn't work for me because there were too many unresolved issues between the two.

Like seriously, do these two ever talk to each other, especially about the horrific first year of their marriage? After the way she treated her, how can he brush it all under the carpet? Does he just think that she was an irresponsible, foolish person during that time and later changed for the better? How can he not even suspect that other people were meddling in their relationship? When Gopi remembered the laptop washing incident during the educating 1 year old Meera track, at no point did Ahem try and understand where Gopi was coming from.

Sorry to go on and on. 😆

Like I said, I had a lot of expectations from the show and it all came to nothing. Serves me right. I've learnt my lesson though.

Yes, the first year of their marriage was terrible. He was thinking about Anita & was not prepared for this change. I did not like the way Ahem had brushed off Anita for the sake of his mom. But, I tell all the participants in the forum that Anita is better off without Ahem. Who knows how he would have treated Anita if he had married her. @bold How can he not even suspect that other people were meddling in their relationship? He was not interested to know who has been meddling with their relationship because he himself didn't want to spend his life with her. He abused Gopi calling her gawar, jahil (thief) etc. That was horrible & not at all acceptable.

I liked that relationship when he educated Gopi & softened towards her & took care of her. In fact, that was the actual relationship. But the writers has screwed up the story & did not even show how did Meera survive when everyone thought she was dead?

I mean after he fell in love with her, when things got better between them. Don't people usually reflect back and think 'I wonder why that happened'. They behave as if the first year of marriage has been erased from their lives. I think there have been many opportunities to address these issues after he accepted Gopi; for example, the laptop washing incident during Meera's education track. Unfortunately, the writers refuse to go there.

Which brings me to the other thing that ruined the show: no revelation of the kalakaries.

@BOLD I know...I know. I would need to write a whole essay to express my feelings on that issue. 😆

For now, we have to accept that Radha is in fact a criminal genius. Nothing is impossible for her. 🤔

Thats why I never got attached to the character Ahem.. it is sad.. Gopi loves him so much... he is her Kanha.. but he never loved her so much I think..

Hi 😃. I'm good. Missing the old gang and the conversations we used to have on here. For Ahem, Gopi is convenient. In her he has a cook, cleaner, nursemaid and verbal punchbag. When he wishes he throws her a few kind words at other times he ignores her or just gives her a passing grunt-Neanderthal 😆. The only time ahem took a stand for Gopi was during the education track. How sweet was that and who could help but like when Gopi was so tired that she nodded off with her head on Ahem's lap . I mean, wasn't that the sweetest thing? It's a pity that the writers are so inconsistent and on a bender to crucify characters which we grew to love. Hate the for that.

even wen ahems love for gopi was on its peak after meera's birth he dint try to understand her views, never had time to listen to her then wen he is angry he would shout at her... during koki wassent to jail for trying to find out sex of unborn babies of rashi thought it was done by urmi & gopi had caught urmi, gopi had tried her level best to talk with koki abt it but it was koki in first place who told her she doesnt want to talk abt that incident no one in d family thought to listen to gopi at time & wen urmi herself revealed it & told gopi knew abt it they all blamed gopi not even trying to listen her justifications... even at that time ahem had not supported gopi but told her y dint she inform him but was he there to listen to her??
even during meera's education, coz koki was not willing to support kinjal in her work, ahem had lashed out at gopi for supporting kinjal & going against koki, i mean cant she hv her personal opinion... & he had told gopi let his mom decide for meera's education... y? wen gohem r her parents it shud b their responsibility to decide abt meera's education not her grandmom's...

Ahem supported Gopi only on 3 occasions.

1. Her Education
2. Achar Business
3. Mad Woman incident.

In other times, he did not support her. He is just like that Anil Kapoor in Beta movie in which the hero supported Aruna Irani.
